So summer is around the corner probably and we're looking forward to crops, short sleeved tops and flipflops Grin

Come and tell us all about your summer purchases, high street or high end, we love it all.

Yes, Naomi Harris dress is gorgeous.

I haven't tried Brand Alley yet. Going to avoid though Wink I have a sales wish list and I am trying to avoid impulse shopping.

OOTD leopard loafers, navy culottes, seamed back Boden seaweed colour T, tan cropped Zara jacket, floral linen scarf in green/ brown / golden shades from V&A, coral tote. V happy with this outfit!

Happy Friday all. Just 8 hours to the weekend and Wine

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 10/06/2016 11:48

Outfit does sound fab Lib :)

Just ordered these sandals, one of my "need" items... I think I prefer the non-patent finish and rose gold details to the nude patent ones on the Dune site, which aren't on sale.

AmberNectarine · 10/06/2016 12:01

I've got those in pink from last year Blair. Still haven't worn Blush

Popped into HN and bought a white T by A Wang skirt. Whoops. Oh well, I don't have a white skirt, so that's a legit wardrobe gap, right?!

BerniceBobsHerHair · 10/06/2016 12:04

Brand Alley is bad for encouraging impulse shopping - loads of lovely stuff on there atm and I am not sure if I have the willpower to resist...

Those are nice Blair and a great price.

Betty I think I linked that jaeger bag for you . Glad you like it! I have received my Boden cuff and I'm pleased with it, like the colours.

BerniceBobsHerHair · 10/06/2016 12:06

I saw your skirt on the other thread Amber - looks good for summer.

Shop what did you wear yesterday in the end?

KittyHello · 10/06/2016 12:28

Yes Bernice you did, thank you Flowers I like the cuff too, am contemplating the pink one.

Nice shoes Blair

Amber this flamingo skirt would look great with your flamingo heels Wink

Am slowly buying things on my wish list, I don't think these red shoes will be in the sale as they are always sold out so I bought them at full price, in fact they've now sold out again in my size.

Like you Lib I want to stick to my sales list and trying not to deviate from it.

Everyonelovessparkles · 10/06/2016 12:54

I've been making a list of everything that I buy this year to see if I'm just giving into temptation and buying things on impulse or if the things I buy I genuinely like and wear. So far it's a bit hit and miss. Things that I thought I liked before buying I haven't really worn or not liked as much once I've got them but then other things have been surprise hits.

amber a white skirt is a summer essential! I've got a lovely coast one from my pre kids days which I love but unfortunately is a 10 whereas I am creeping towards a 12 these days. I'm in denial though and am holding onto the skirt for when I finally lose the 'mum tum'! Grin

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 10/06/2016 13:00

if it was a wardrobe gap, it was a wardrobe gap amber

I don't wear soiled blocks of light colours on my bottom half, i end up looking huge if i do. the lightest i go is the skirt i'm wearing today which is a white background with a green plaid pattern over it. the pattern is quite 'close' so there's not so much white on show so it works. I just don't have the slim hips i would love to have, i have big wide ones!

HappyGirlNow · 10/06/2016 15:08

Do you mean solid onenight ? Grin

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 10/06/2016 18:18

Everyone are you on pinterest? Every time I buy something I pin it... being able to see my whole wardrobe in one place really helps! And I've been doing it for long enough now that most of my clothes are on there.

Last year I also did this thing where I turned all my wardrobe hangers the same way and then reversed them when I wore something. After 6 months I could really see what I wasn't wearing, and I had a big cull about a year ago now, another one is looong overdue.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 10/06/2016 18:25

yes, yes i do happy Grin bad hands mean my typings not great a lot of the time Smile

i am desperate for this brewing storm to just get on with it, the mugginess is killing me, its making my joints swell and my bones ache. please rain, please just rain already!

FedupNagging · 10/06/2016 19:37

Grin at One's typo!

Italian leather bags popped up on an Amazon ad just now so obviously I had a quick look for your friend Shop - 2 caught my eye:
Patent leather
and this - which is my favourite.
There is also
this Lulu Guiness which is quite quirky.

Kitty for goodness sake don't link any flamingo skirts for Amber - she's not worn the one she's got yet frowns in Amber's direction Wink

AmberNectarine · 10/06/2016 19:58

Yes I think I'm set for impractical flamingo skirts for the foreseeable!

shopafrolic · 10/06/2016 20:24

So last night I wore dark blue Paige Jimmies (thanks Linus).
Cooper and Ella top
nude Florettes
Long silver necklace
Gina clutch
And IM tan belt.
Not really winter colours but I felt good and one of my neighbour's stopped her car in the street to tell me how nice I looked as I walked past Smile

shopafrolic · 10/06/2016 20:31

Thanks so much FedUp. I have forwarded to my friend. Love the one you suggest and the Lulu Guiness is fun too Smile

HappyGirlNow · 10/06/2016 20:40

QueenC1 · 10/06/2016 21:00

Evening all. love the Fiji happy.
Outfit sounds good shop
one I'm with you, I don't like pale or soiled on my bottom half.
Welcome everyone I keep a pin board of all my purchases so that I can review it to see what gets most wear. Like you sometimes things I think I will wear lots I dont.
Someone mentioned on here the other day about getting bored of things (bernice?) and that's me too.

Everyonelovessparkles · 10/06/2016 21:33

blair I am on pin but tend to just use it for getting ideas rather than pinning what I actually buy, but maybe that is the way forward.

Just ordered this in black with the 25% off boden I've already got 3 of these Blush but the style seems to suit me and it's so easy to wear.

libertydoddle · 10/06/2016 22:46

I was reviewing my sales wishlist tonight obsessively checking what has been reduced and trying to whittle it down to the things I have identified as genuine wardrobe gaps...when I thought...imagine money was no object and I could just go to Matches and get whatever I want...this is what I would buy..

Casual jacket
Summer jeans
Holiday skirt
the just want them because they are gorgeous shoes
red flats
work flats
tan block heel sandal
party dress
work jacket
clutch

Oh well, back to reality.

Drywhitethanks · 10/06/2016 22:48

Fedup you know me, incapable of sitting on hands.

Wore my red J Vines today for the first time, lovely and so comfy. Great buy, thanks Shop

AmberNectarine · 10/06/2016 22:52

I need to get my J Vines resoled. The sole is coming away now (got mine over 2y ago). They are lovely shoes.

Dreamqueen · 11/06/2016 08:34

Help MNV ladies. I'm trying to make a pinterest board of what i have in my wardrobe. Is there a way of saving clothes in the colour that i have. It keeps saving oics but not the colourway that I've selected.

shopafrolic · 11/06/2016 09:23

Hi Dream - the only way you can save in your colour is if that comes up as one of the images you can Pin from that webpage.

Dreamqueen · 11/06/2016 09:56

Thanks Shop
I'm not that familiar on how pin works but going to give pinning my new purchases a go. I had a tidy up earlier & found some old favourites that I'd forgotton about.

I need style advice please. I'm going to the tennis at Queens on Tuesday. If the weather is good I'm sorted (Hush navy & white striped dress & converse) but forecast says 18 with chance of rain. what outfit/jacket would work? Obviously if it's raining I'll be sheltering in the bar but want ideas if it's just cold and grey. (Hate hate unpredictable weather)

Longislandicetee · 11/06/2016 10:33

Hi Dream, I tend to go with thin layers when I go to the tennis. If it was me, I would wear 3/4 length tee, blazer and jeans with converse and carry a cardigan too for when it gets colder in the day.

Lib, loved your dream links. A couple would be very tempting!Grin

I have dusted off the credit card from the mothballs in the last couple of weeks and bought some bits.

After the success of the Valentino shoes, I got these red Aquazzura shoes which were inspired by shoes that both Dry and Sleep own. They only arrived on Thursday so haven't had the chance to wear them yet. The Valentinos have been complimented several times every day, by both men and women, they're great!

I also got these bangles which I love and really suit me. On my way through Heathrow last week I was tempted into buying this Hermes Kelly bracelet and just about resisted the orange clic clac bracelet. I will definitely get them when I next pass through the airport.

Happy Saturdays everyone! We are doing settling in with potential new nanny this morning.
