bernice you are right, I have done that lots, bought something in 2 colours and only wore one.. I think, having said that, that I'd wear the tan and burgundy with totally different outfits so think I'll be ok.. I see me wearing the burgundy more with all black outfits and the tan with blue denim/cream and white tops type stuff... But then I like tan bag with all black too.. Ha maybe you're right here too anyway.. Can't wait till Monday to get the burgundy

I resigned! As if I wasn't sure I'd made the right choice it was a meeting I hate this afternoon that makes me want to lop off my own ears. I feel great! Amd everyone was so nice and said lovely things, I'll miss loads of them..

Another plus is that we've just submitted plans to the council for a large rear extension.. Husband took plans around to our next door neighbour who we thought would not be happy. And she was totally fine!

Anyhow, sun is shining up here, on train and nearly home, out on motorbikes tonight to clear cobwebs away.. Woohoo.. Exciting times

Have done my own Gucci shop this week too, the package have been waiting for finally arrived a few days ago with these beauties. They are a bit of the moment maybe and the full loafer would be more classic but have been coveting them for ages and love, love even though dh hates them and said they look like his slippers . They look good with cropped jeans and my navy Marant jacket with a red thread running through it, coordinated without being too matchy.

Marsha white cutout dress was 1996, I remember it well as was on my gap year and used to ogle it in the shop window near where I was living.

Dream for stans I usually go down half a size but for the pony hair ones I needed usual size.

So pleased the resignation went ok Happy, it all sounds very exciting.

Am pretty sure I heard on the radio earlier that shell suits are making a comeback? not a trend I'll be buying into!

I've been pondering block heeled sandals - I need (a relative term, I know) a pair of heels for Saturday to go with white 7/8's. Dune seem to have the nicest these in the blue, grey or blush are top of the list.

I also really like these but not sure I'll be able to walk in them without breaking my neck. If anyone see's any caged heels with an 8cm heel, let me know.

Shop I can see you with a Pierre Hardy pouch. Not sure about the shade of red as haven't seen the colour way irl but a friend has it in medium size cobalt and black and it looks fab.

Fedup the dune ones look really nice. Love the shape and pastel colours, wouldn't go higher you won't wear them nearly so much.

After realising with horror that I don't own any metallic heels, I have purchased these beauties.

Feup I ADOREvthe Dune red caged sandals sits on hands . I bought some black block herled sandals a couple of summers ago, work hard and a good inbetween heel I find. Love the pastel blue and silver....tempted too.

Fedup I wore a pair of wooden block heels to the pub last night, I've had them for years but they worked well with cropped flares & peasant blouse.

Heard Dd crying in the utility room this evening and walked in to find she'd tried on my new silver Gigis (worn once), then had an accident and peed all over them. I'm not having a good week clothes wise! And not very handy with needle & thread Bernice 😭

Whoever asked about sales wishlists...I am keeping an eye on a blouse.

Had a meeting today with someone I'd never met and she's my new girl style crush. Ballet flats, skinny chinos, lovely spotty blouse and 2 cardigans . Sounds awful but it worked (although why she needed 2 cardigans in this heat is beyond me). One was a thin normal Cardi and on top was a sort of holey one so you could see the other one underneath.

Stokey give them a good spray with anti BAC stuff and leave out in sun to dry, they'll be fine.
Where exactly did your dress rip? Along a seam? Could it be mended?

Bernice I am getting a grip about my colours. One of the reasons I post the OOTD is that it makes me realise I have lovely clothes. Somehow in the mirror I think 'meh' but then when I write it down it makes me realise I look OK - that probably makes no sense.
