Come and tell us all about your summer purchases, high street or high end, we love it all.

Thanks blair Grin and you're right, the gold L&J watch is gorgeous!

AmberNectarine · 07/06/2016 12:50

We didn't lib, but all the other teams did! I'm a stickler for rules (may have been pointing angrily and shouting 'that is bullshit' throughout).

libertydoddle · 07/06/2016 13:36

We should team up amber. I am a rules stickler too. DH isn't Hmm

Did you get any work done this morning happy? I would have been too busy sniffing the bags and admiring my left wrist if all that arrived Grin

HappyGirlNow · 07/06/2016 13:51

Haha, not very much lib Grin I have indeed been sniffing leather and looking at watches.. It's like Christmas!

Talking of which, I'm resigning tomorrow! It's been on the cards for a while, but DH and I have been discussing it more over the last few weeks and our company is getting too much for him to run on his own with help from me when I can... So I'm leaving my job to become a Director in our company.. Bit nervous but I've not been happy for a while, fed up of offices and what I do and need a change..

It'll mean an initial reduction in salary though.. So.. Thinking of a last fling from my bonus, I can't stop thinking about the Drew in burgundy Blush I may just get it because we want to grow the business even more so I'll need to get my sensible head on at least initially Grin although we'll see how long that lasts!

FedupNagging · 07/06/2016 15:17

Thats one fantastic shop Happy - love all of the it; did the belts arrive too? Definitely order the burgundy drew to complete your collection and as a leaving gift to yourself enables

What a shame your skirt ripped Stokey - bikes and skirts are a no no in my book as I never look ladylike enough!

I'm sitting in the garden with a coffee listening to church bells, it's bliss although not for long as the neighbours children will be home from school soon!

HappyGirlNow · 07/06/2016 17:15

Haha thanks for the enabling fedup Smile

Bells did just arrive - good timing as I had to order direct from Gucci so no nominated day.. I'm keeping the thinner double G one (in fact - sacrilege - I've just been punching extra holes in it so I can use as a waist or jeans belt!) Blush thinner one is lovely. I'm going to send the wider one back I think.. Just feels too bulky.. And I've already got my (good fake!) Hermes one.. Just not fussed enough to spend almost £300 on it..

I've ordered the burgundy Drew, just can't get it out my head, it's the rich colour! Hopefully it'll look as deep and rich in real life.. It comes Monday, working from home again.. I do feel a bit bad ha But got a lovely bag that covers everything now. Apart from maybe a light coloured dressy bag.. I think I'll throw most of my non designer bags out.. I rarely use them now.

Least it's keeping my mind off my resignation a bit.. Starting to feel nervous Confused

HappyGirlNow · 07/06/2016 18:38

So keeping the thin one but sending the thicker one back. Didn't bother ordering a tan one in the end..

MarshaBrady · 07/06/2016 20:18

Wow Happy so impressive!

MarshaBrady · 07/06/2016 20:18

Also big news about resigning, sounds really exciting and love the burgundy.

HappyGirlNow · 07/06/2016 20:20

Thanks marsha exciting but scary.. Grin

Topazandpearl · 07/06/2016 21:04

Congratulations on the big decision Happy and great shopping! Exciting times ahead, and some nerves can be a good thing!

Drywhitethanks · 07/06/2016 21:54

Exciting times and purchases Happy.

Operation 5-0 coming along nicely Smile ......impulsive moi? Better let DH know before I get into bed with a gum shield in my mouth Grin

Fashion hell today....my annual hi viz wearing day Sad

shopafrolic · 07/06/2016 22:32

And the award for best online unwrapping goes to.......... Happy for services to fashionistas Flowers
Gorgeous pics - and exciting times. Happy days.

KittyHello · 08/06/2016 07:04

Super impressive haul Happy bet you've had the biggest grin on your face when it all arrived.

No fashion news to report here apart from being sheep like and bought the Boden ruched skirt in black, it's a really easy skirt to wear and I wore it to work with a grey Tippi and leopard print flats.

Whilst at a duty free shop last week I smelt Tom Ford Neroli Portofino and it was love at first smell, it was on "offer" at £72 which I now realise is "cheap" Shock I kept smelling my cardigan all week as it's such a lovely smell.

So for the question MNV:

It's a lot cheaper at All Beauty than the usual outlets JLewis/Selfridges etc would you buy TF from All Beauty? I have used AB before for shampoo - Kerastase, RedKen, Label M etc and have been perfectly happy but am very undecided about buying TF from there. As it could be a potentially costly mistake, so WWYD?

HappyGirlNow · 08/06/2016 08:24

Thanks shop and I did kitty Grin

Dull up here today, hope it doesn't rain, hoping to get out on the motorbikes later.. Hope none of you have been hit by the terrible rain?

On way to work with my resignation letter. Eeeeeek!

libertydoddle · 08/06/2016 09:11

Oh I feel your nerves happy. How determined are you? Have you thought through how you will react if they ask you to stay?

kitty I don't know anything about 'all beauty'. Why is buying from there a possible risk?

Wearing Toast navy and gold stripe dress today with leopard print loafers, Burberry trench (carrying it as too hot after walk to station), coral Jaeger coral tote.

HappyGirlNow · 08/06/2016 09:42

Rahh manager in late this morning and I'm just about to go into a 2.5 hour meeting.. Just want to get it over with..

I'm very determined.. Not about money or anything so even if the offered more money it wouldn't matter.. I am just sick of offices, working for other people, the politics, this business speak, the falseness.. I know some folk love office work but I've struggled for a while.. Plus the lack of flexibility.. They're fairly flexible re working from home etc ( to get my NAP orders GrinBlush) but I hate restricted holidays etc.. So basically they'd have to tie me to my seat to make me stay. Grin

Plus was thinking this morning - 4 weeks and no more stinky trains!!!! Worth it for that alone! Smile

HappyGirlNow · 08/06/2016 09:43

Lucky I only have a 4 week notice period.. They changed it just after I started and anyone starting after that is 3 months.. Nightmare..

libertydoddle · 08/06/2016 11:34

I hate office politics too happy and I hear you on skinky trains. Particularly horrible in warm weather.

KittyHello · 08/06/2016 11:45

Lib I'm a bit weary of All Beauty as they are online only. They have a good reputation and if I was buying a cheaper bottle of perfume I'd have no hesitation but the TF one is pricey for me.

Good luck Happy new beginnings.

libertydoddle · 08/06/2016 12:31

It is pricey kitty. Start another thread. There are lots of people who are really into their perfumes on S&B who could provide good advice and possibly point you towards other places to get it. On the perfumistas thread people are always talking about places online where you can buy samples. Maybe get a sample size to tide you over while you source a full size at best price?

BerniceBobsHerHair · 08/06/2016 12:53

Kitty if you have used that site before and they are trustworthy I would say go for it. But Lib's advice is probably better Grin

Wow, I've missed all the live unwrapping - you must be pleased with your haul Happy and sounds like the right move for you to hand in your notice! My fave is the large Gucci.

I love the burgundy Drew but I think someone on here said if you have a duplicate item in 2 colours , you always end up favouring one over the other. Not sure if you agree it could be an issue with your burgundy and tan drews?

Stokey what a pain about your skirt - are you handy with a needle and thread??

Lib your outfits all sound lovely. Are you feeling less 'meh' about your colours? You always sound very chic and put together.

I don't do one in / one out but like some of you, I have regular culls. I can love something for a few months and wear it on repeat and then hate it soon after - does anyone else feel like this??

I really love those Gucci shoes Justa and they seem to suit your style. I think Topshop were doing an homage if you fancy something less £££.

Loulou I like those sandals. The blogger Marlene raves about them - she seems very into good quality items.

Can't believe the summer sales are starting - anyone got their eye on anything?

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 08/06/2016 12:57

bernice i haven't got my eye on anything this summer, once again all the colours are wrong for me so it puts me off buying. still, i suppose that's a good thng given how much i already have Blush

kitty i use allbeauty frequently and have never had a problem and all items have been genuine, even pricier ones.

Dreamqueen · 08/06/2016 15:54

Aout to order some Stan Smiths. Are they big/small fitting please? wondering whether to get 4.5 or 5?
HELP

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 08/06/2016 16:01

just found a pait of tan leather tassled sandals in my now almost empty shoe box. very pleased as they are brand new, never worn so that'll save me having to buy some new ones this summer. i don't normally wear tan but since its not near my face, it doesnt matter so much and i now remember buying them and thinking the tassels were really cute. just wearing them around the flat now to make sure the leather is as soft as it appears as sandal strap rub isnt nice!

yesterday i bought a really pretty grey floral 'sweat' dress from house of fraser. it's sort of a towelling type feel on the inside but it's very pretty and i'm going to be very happy wearing it int he warm weather as it isn't too short or revealing
