So summer is around the corner probably and we're looking forward to crops, short sleeved tops and flipflops Grin

Come and tell us all about your summer purchases, high street or high end, we love it all.

The best place for me out there on the internet is pin as I follow Matches etc and they show just in.

I can't remember if I've bought anything through that, but I have clicked through to the page

polyhymnia · 30/05/2016 16:11

Never mind the matching colours - at least you didn't do it on purpose . I know a couple that do ( colour was purple one time) which I find a bit too much, but I guess it makes them happy!

AmberNectarine · 30/05/2016 16:18

My school uniform was purple and white. I felt like a bit of a dick turning up the reunion in white jeans and a purple top! It honestly wasn't deliberate, obviously some weird Pavlovian response to going back there!

shopafrolic · 30/05/2016 17:07

Went to GAP with DH today to make use of the 35% off code and bought these white jeans. They cost me £29.22 so if they get trashed over the summer I won't be too heartbroken. I got regular length so rather than wearing them rolled up they look more like cropped jeans and have a slight kick at the bottom which I like.
DH got jeans and a tee (his current jeans were all falling off him since the new diet).
Bernice I did order the Anna dress with the sash bit round the middle too. Waiting for it to arrive and then want to try it with trainers.

QueenC · 30/05/2016 17:25

Lovely shop, I can imagine you in them.

Another sunny day here. I need to sort myself out for summer cycling by either buying a high vis vest or a high vis backpack or a high vis cover for my usual backack. All glamour here Grin

FedupNagging · 30/05/2016 18:31

One I keep forgetting to ask if the parcel has arrived? Hope you're enjoying your time with dp.

Seems like most of us have been overindulging this weekend-I only managed one glass of fizz this afternoon Shock lightweight my diet since Friday has mostly consisted of carbs, coffee and wine Blush

Marsha I love the Erdem you linked, it's so pretty.

Boden shoes always look lovely but in the flesh are far too narrow for my trotters.

In answer to your question Queen I don't often look at blogs usually when I'm bored and run out of a book to read so am pretty sure I've not made a purchase based on a blog.

In fact, I'm more likely to make a purchase if I've seen it here - stans and jalouse come to mind.

I have made a few purchases recently but sadly non of them are particularly stylish and feature items such as these trousers - I'll get my coat...

Blair I'm impressed at your dedication to 'outing' WIT Grin
QueenC I'm stepping away from the hi vis conversation - pretty sure I can't offer any assistance! :)

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 30/05/2016 19:04

Lol shop, I hope it didn't sound like I'm some sort of creepy stalker Blush, that really didn't take me long to find at all. It's just irritating! So many blogs are so half assed and that's a perfect example.

shopafrolic · 30/05/2016 20:21

I also think the reason the spelling has got better is because WIT is on mat leave isn't she?

QueenC · 30/05/2016 20:47

Anyone watching mid summers nightndream? Think I'm a bit too thick for it Grin. Instead, I'm going to do what I'm good at and look at clothes....

QueenC · 30/05/2016 20:50

for lib

FedupNagging · 30/05/2016 20:58

I had a couple of questions I forgot to ask earlier:

Poly which bag did you purchase in the end?

Topaz how are you getting on with the gel polish?

Am exhausted so heading to bed with a book and a hot chocolate - low cal obv!

If anyone like Issa then I think I read somewhere that these monsoon dresses are by the same person. Not sure I can see any of us in them though....?

QueenC · 30/05/2016 21:21

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 30/05/2016 21:23

fedup i have several parcels to open, im positive it is among them so no need to worry, it will be here Thanks

i've taken an awful bump to the head sleepwalking a couple of nights ago. it isn't bruised but my forehead is swollen enough that at certain angles it's very noticeable. doors and i clearly don't get along Grin

QueenC · 30/05/2016 21:35

for one

QueenC · 30/05/2016 21:36

one, there's a whole load you'd love....

shopafrolic · 30/05/2016 21:37

Too long for me QueenC. Lovely colour though.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 30/05/2016 21:53

oh yes, I've seen those queenC and i do love them, even the ones i'd have no chance of walking in!

Topazandpearl · 30/05/2016 22:40

Fedup the nails lasted a full week, with only minor signs of wear. Cleaning off was easy with normal remover. I redid them yesterday, braving a darker colour, so I will see how these last.

libertydoddle · 31/05/2016 11:33

I like that skirt QueenC but it looks a bit short. My knees are horrible and getting worse so below knee / midi length only especially in summer when I can't hide them in opaques.

Has anyone tried that spray on nail varnish? Seems almost too good to be true and I'd worry about damage to clothes etc.

Have PMT so very tired today. My wardrobe is depressing me. I seem to own so many things I feel a bit 'meh' about or that don't work with anything else.

Blogs - I do find them useful, though I go through fits if reading them rather than looking at them all the time. I'm sure I have bought things I have seen on blogs but can't remember what! I like seeing different ways of styling things on non model shapes.

shopafrolic · 31/05/2016 13:35

Escentual have 25% off everything with code ESCENTUAL25 - I buy a lot of beauty stuff from there and rate them highly.
Such horrendous weather here. Constant rain. So miserable.

libertydoddle · 31/05/2016 13:59

Absolutely miserable here too shop. So annoying on half term week. Have play date with a family of 3 DC organised for tomorrow. Will be hell if I can't get them out the garden.

LinusLovesBretons · 31/05/2016 16:35

Rubbish weather here as well. Sad

The skirts I ordered on Zalando are all keepers but I can't link as they don't sell that brand on Zalando UK. Now all I need is some sunshine to wear them out of the house.

my gorgeous checked A.P.C. shirt has started to get frayed underneath the armpits.

I have worn and washed it a lot so I'm not sure it's the quality or my washing skills. I will try and mend it as it is such an easy shirt to wear.

Re blogs, as most pp's I have bought clothes that were featured on blogs but not because the blogger wore them but because they suited my style/needs.

Beauty blogs, now that's a different story. I have bought too much crap based on the blog of some Twentysomething 'blogging/vlogging from her bedroom'.

Not anymore though as most of their 'recommendations' are for products they got for free/were 'gifted'. Hmm

shopafrolic · 31/05/2016 18:05

Which reminds me Linus my latest beauty tip for those with sparse eyebrows who don't want to look like an extra from TOWIE.
