I've been busy binge watching Vikings guilty pleasure ...only 4 seasons to go

Blair I love those red losfers. May well order them as can justify £400+ on the Gucci and wear them to do my job!

WOre my new BR khaki Sloane Fit ankle grazers today with black slouch sweater and animal print pointy flats. Nice.

Re shellac/gel lush... I'm with Amber love the stuff, the only thing that doesn't chip no matter what I do. But the regrowth really bugs me so can never keep it on for more than 9/10 days.
Nail varnish doesn't last longer than a day. I use it for a night out etc.

I've got my eye on some which I want to buy in the sales. I need red shoes for when I wear a navy and white/black and white outfits, I feel I need a 3rd colour to lift it.

Morning all. So my Brand Alley purchase of these Sam Edelman shoes has arrived and my toes is V. slightly overhanging at the front. But not loads. Do Brand Alley do exchanges? They are fab shoes.......

Good CS from Brand Alley - nice swift reply to my email. Unfortunately they don't do exchanges, only returns. Think I will probably keep them. They are fab shoes, perfect heel height..... will have a think.

I think I am keeping the espadrilles. They are ever so slightly narrow around the ball of my foot, but I think they will stretch and be fine. They look so nice!

Dry hope the loafers are nice. I am afraid of wearing expensive shoes day to day and wearing them out. Not that that's the only reason I don't own any, of course

But at least you get excellent cpw Blair my colleagues already think I have a clothes addiction, if I turned up in Gucci loafers it would be awkward....having said that I wear my expensive bags to work, ignore me I'm talking crap...again

Here's a thing I can't get my head around:
A lot if the women I work with don't bother with make up for work and v little for going out and have a uniform of the same few outfits for work. A collegue commented that I wear dresses to work as if dresses are just for going out ....I'm just not like that at all. If I can make myself look better with make up, hair and nice not all expensive clothes I will, every day. I must be shallow but I know I'm not..... Why wouldn't you?

People are so pass remarkable. Wear what makes you happy, I say!

The house is great, we love being back in Dublin after so many years and the kids settled in well, made friends, enjoying school etc.

I didn't see that shirt in chambray, Kitty or I'd have ordered it too. I cancelled the J Crew stripey shirt order as ordered this from Matches in the sales preview.

I'm underwhelmed by Net-a-Porter. Got a sales preview email there too, I tried to order a couple of things, called them and they said I got the email in error and offered a measly 10% off. I'll stick to Matches, thanks!

Not shallow at all Dry -we're all on here as we have an interest in how we look/what we wear etc but that is not the sum total of who you are, there is so much more than nice hair and make-up and you're right, if it makes you feel good, why wouldn't you?

Glad you like the TB espadrilles blair - that was a quick delivery. Shop I know the shoes are gorgoeus but will you wear them if they don't quite fit?

Kitty I usually wear black or navy shoes with the black/navy outfits so now you've got me thinking about red shoes too! Although today I did wear cream loafers with navy ankle grazers and navy spot shirt and liked the look.

Viva great purchases yesterday - I think you're quite tall so the jumpsuit will look fab-will you wear the SE sandals with it?

Dry I think that's a bit rude to comment like that (re dresses). I'm sure she would be offended if you commented on the "uniform"...

Shop don't keep them if they're not perfect. I tried 3 different sizes/pairs of Pettys and was going to keep them until I mentioned it on here & thats the advice I was given. I'm glad I returned them now.

I'm coming to town for a few days from tomorrow, need to plan my outfits but it's hard in this very changeable weather. Today I'm wearing a Hush layering Tee and a H&M slouchy jumper & I'm still slightly chilly.

I only got a sales preview from Stylebop and some limited items 30% off from MyTheresa.

Finally ordered those Hush Monaco trousers as DMBL 40 had a measly 10% off code.

And wanted to order some skirts from Madewell (they now ship to Europe) but their p&p is insane.

Considering they belong to the same parent company as J Crew, I was unpleasantly surprised as the latter has a much more palatable flat rate p&p.

So I ordered some skirts from Zalando from a brand I have never heard of as I hate spending too much money on clothes that will be worn in the garden/running errands in the summer so will get doused in suntan lotion.

dry I am like you, I like to look presentable, not just because I love fashion but because it makes me feel more condident.

But I do believe in Live and Let Live.

If others aren't bothered about S&B , that's their right but it doesn't make them more worthy/intelligent/successful/serious and it doesn't give them the right to criticise people who do.

Dry sounds like a bit of jealousy to me, carrying on wearing whatever makes you feel and look good.

Fedup I seem to have a spring footwear gap. It's still a bit too chilly to wear sandals and flip flops, I refuse to get my boots back out so I'm just left with black R&B ballet flats and tan loafers. I also don't possess a pair of trainers and feel I could do with a pair now.

It's sold out in an 8, grrr - thanks anyway.

dry some people weirdly think that some clothes are too good/dressy/nice for work. My dm can't understand how I spend money on things "just for work" and both dh and dd raised their eyebrows at the black Uniqlo dress I bought in London when I said it was for work. I'm with you that if I can try and make myself look better I can.

cranagh that's pretty rubbish of NAP to day you got sent it by mistake. Their mistake! But I cannot believe it's time for sales already. It was freezing again today. I've still got things I haven't worn (the top and trousers I bought in U.S.) and things that I've only worn once as it hasn't been warm enough yet. At least everything will get worn on holiday. As I've got loads of stuff I'm going to attempt to not buy anything now until September. Think I'll manage it ?

Dry some people dress up, some people don't feel the need. I have days where I cannot be arsed, and days where I really go for it. The one rule I remain true to is I only ever comment on people's appearance in a positive way. I would never dream of saying what she said. I am more honest with you guys about what I think does and doesn't suit you but only if you ask for an opinion. If someone hasn't asked I would never spread negativity. Keep doing what you do. It's fabulous.
We've booked a holiday to Cyprus in July. Can't wait.
