So summer is around the corner probably and we're looking forward to crops, short sleeved tops and flipflops Grin

Come and tell us all about your summer purchases, high street or high end, we love it all.

Yes, I'm often Regent St way, so will look into the Coach shop there.

KittyHello · 22/05/2016 16:13

Poly some good suggestions there. Hope the Coach works out for you.

Cranagh I have that JCrew shirt, it's lovely. I want it in denim/chambray.

Bernice I haven't received my Boden bangle yet, I'm hoping it will turn up this week.

Blingy great news about the babysitter.

Dreamqueen · 22/05/2016 17:22

i wore my new Uniqlo short sleeved drees today with mid heel KG espadrilles & tan bag. I felt very good.

I need to choose clothes for a few days in town next week.
Thurs-taking Mum to see a musical
Fri- vegan meal at Manna with brother
Sat-family lunch at (to be decided) vegan restaurant.
I'm hoping to wear my new black dress from Uniqlo for one of the occasions, maybe my me&em dress for another and after that ????
Not buying anything else m=new, hoping that diet will kick in sometime soon. __planning a 2 day -- tomorrow.

shopafrolic · 22/05/2016 17:25

Welcome Poly Coach is defo a good call.
Linus love that you bolded shop even though you were talking about an actual shop and not me Grin
Blingy glad the babysitter came through
My DF is struggling with his breathing at night and still v wobbly on his feet. My DB was over this weekend so we all went out for dinner and DF nearly collapsed on the way out of the restaurant. :(
No fashion news today - been in the garden all afternoon. Lovely.
Blair Burberry at Bicester is well worth checking out.

Dreamqueen · 22/05/2016 17:40

Shop hope df recovers quickly. it is a shock when our DP are unwell ..

FedupNagging · 22/05/2016 17:51

Great links this morning Queen - really like the SM burgundy blouse.

Blingy what a relief for you and dh - you get your social life back, yay!

Love the ruffle detail on your new shirt Cranagh - I can see that it would be so chic with jeans.

Hi Poly, have a look at both Fossil and Kate Spade for good quality and good price leather bags. This Kate Spade is my new baby bag.
Or how about this?

Fossil bag in tan is gorgeous
You'll get loads in this bag

Boden also have some great leather bags at the moment:
In yellow
Navy & tan - love this
Boden have 25% off various things this week- I think bags and accessories is Thursday so you could get a bargain!

Flowers for you and your dm and db Shop

Thanks. Really like look of the Kate Spade Cobble Hill Small Toddy. Can't believe I didn't go in to Kate Spade when in Sloane Sq this Friday - but visit to the Regent St store can be combined with the Coach one next week.

The Fossil Sydney is a little too structured for what I want, as is, I think the Boden Amanda. Fossil certainly worth investigating. Like their Preston, though not the present colours.

Am a bit of a Boden fan, so want to like the Boden Olivia, but it hasn't got the all-important outside pocket for Oyster!

LinusLovesBretons · 22/05/2016 18:43

Oops shop, I hadn't even noticed I put your name in bold instead of Poly's

Your poor DF (((hugs)))

libertydoddle · 22/05/2016 18:59

shop so sorry to hear about your DF. Flowers

poly I regard an outside pocket for oyster card to be non negotiable too! I'll have a think about options.

Cranagh lovely shirt. How is the house going? Are you happy with the move?

polyhymnia · 22/05/2016 19:32

Thanks.liberty!

shopafrolic · 22/05/2016 20:42

Cranagh I meant to say lovely to 'see' you

libertydoddle · 22/05/2016 21:01

poly I have totally failed on external pocket. Why do so many bags not have them?

I can't link as on phone but have you considered a Modalu Pippa? It does have the external pockets. I don't have one but I do have a Modalu tote and it's fantastic quality. I think the Pippa is lovely IRL. I think Blair has one.

No pockets but the Jaeger Stitched Saddle bag is gorgeous as is the Jaeger Oxford Leather Hobo.

Somerset by Alice Temperley Durston grab bag looks good

Longislandicetee · 22/05/2016 21:37

I love a bag search! FedUp's bag is lovely she held on to it tightly while she showed it to me and love the Coach (first one). Hope you stay Poly after you get your bag!

Have been doing holiday packing this evening and had a quick look online to see if there was anything I fancied getting. Hell no!Grin

Topazandpearl · 22/05/2016 21:52

I love all the bag links. I hope you find the right one poly.

Great that you now have a good babysitter blingy. I remember how great it was when we were at that stage and found someone reliable.

I am so sorry about your DF shop. It is such a worry when DPs are ill.

I have just discovered Sally Hansen miracle gel nail polish. I used to have regular gel manicures and loved how well they lasted. But over the long term, they wrecked my nails and the appointments were time-consuming. I used it today for the first time so will let you know how long it lasts.

Longislandicetee · 22/05/2016 22:17

Thank you for your kind comments about the babysitter situation. I was a bit of a nervous wreck yesterday hoping that they wouldn't be distressed and play up. Little steps eh?

I have never done the nail gel thing and don't tend to do expensive polishes. I tend to spend my money on the base and top coat then the polish is as cheap as chips. My current favourite is this one which feels so summery.

AmberNectarine · 22/05/2016 22:22

This is going to make me sound like a creepy bag stalker, but I'm 99% sure poly has/had had a Pippa already...

Thanks for that link fedup, I'm desperately trying to stay off the shellac but I'm jonesing for a fix. Maybe the SH will keep me on the straight and narrow...

libertydoddle · 22/05/2016 22:36

GrinGrin amber it's OK, you can own up to keeping a S&B bag spreadsheet!

I had gel nails once - destroyed my nails. Took about 3 months for them to recover. I still hanker over how nice they looked though.

Longislandicetee · 22/05/2016 22:53

No not at all Amber stalkerish. WinkGrin

polyhymnia · 22/05/2016 23:41

Wow, Amber, great memory. Don't think it's that I'm super-memorable ...

Yes, and it wasn't right for me - too much goldware, too heavy, and the light grey I chose was too light to be versatile. Having said that, have liked the look of some Modalu Erins - but for much more worky purposes than I have in mind now.

Topazandpearl · 23/05/2016 06:24

The SH polish doesn't need uv and comes off with regular nail polish remover so I'm hoping it won't damage my nails. I am also investigating cheaper sources on eBay.

I have used it to prepare my toes to be revealed to the public gaze (sorry Marsha Grin. )

Topazandpearl · 23/05/2016 06:25

Oh, I believe you can use the top coat with regular nail polish as well.

AmberNectarine · 23/05/2016 08:01

I have handbag total recall, it's like a completely useless super power.

If anyone is looking for a way to waste half an hour on the Internet, you could do a lot worse than this. Recommended by a friend and actually pretty useful!

Had such a nice weekend - shame it's over! Quiet night in with DH on Friday night, which was lovely as we hadn't seen each other all week, party on Saturday night (where the lovely Marsha was looking tres glam in Marant and Gianvito Rossi) and then a spot of beer gardening in the sunshine yesterday. Still, next weekend is a long one!

Happy Mondays all

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 23/05/2016 11:42

I love gel nails. Only for holidays though, as they're so expensive near me. £51 (plus £15 for removal) at the salon I go to for waxing!

Just ordered Tory Burch espadrilles from the outnet, I hope they are as gorgeous in real life!

Dry I saw these the other day and thought of you (or are you going to go for the Guccis? Grin)

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 23/05/2016 13:39

ugh, right when i need to be looking nice, my elbow splits open so im covered in dressings and bandages, at least that makes the dress decision for me as it will have to be long sleeves!

dp arrives back on friday evening and is here until tuesday lunchtime as he's coming for the wedding a couple of days extra as it feels like i havent seen him in forever even though he was here for a week last month!

shopafrolic · 23/05/2016 16:04
