I love Marchella - and thought of you when I saw her parka - I thought I linked an article before I went away about her style..... I also loved the M necklace she was wearing in episode 1 and am dying to know where it is from. it was like a long chain where one end fed through the letter M and then dangled below - would love it with an S....... if anyone knows please shout.

I also meant to ask if anyone has tips for New York flights. We are planning a trip for my birthday in August, but we looked at flights recently and they were £1500 each . Is that normal, is it the time of year, the day of the week? If anyone has any experience of flight prices I'd be really grateful.

Welcome back Shop, your holiday looked fab. We went to Sensatori in Egypt in 2013 just before I went back to work after Dd2. Dd1 still talks about the pools there. It was a little exhausting though as dd2 was a non-sleeping baby and got ill as soon as we arrived.

I've been out two nights in a row and am definitely feeling the pain this morning. Friday night wore Hush Newport dress, black biker boots, red hoody and leather jacket, last night wore sparkly full mini skirt and All Saints cut out shoulder grey jumper, felt good.

I did a bit of hungover internet shopping yesterday morning and have a midi skirt on order. I have also ordered silver Supergas, I think you linked these Fedup or maybe the flatform ones? I was about to order white Stans, but thought I'd go silver instead.

I'm back again and hope you can all put up with me coming and going. Life just takes over sometimes -nothing dramatic, just lots on and my mind hasn't been in the right place. Things feel calmer now. I have just scanned this page and will have a proper catch up later (looking forward to it).

Blair if you don't mind breaking the journey, look at Aer Lingus. When we went they were quite a bit cheaper. To counteract the break in the journey, you do pre clear US immigration in Dublin, so you arrive in the US as a domestic arrival. It does make the journey home a bit more of a drag though than flying direct.

I'm afraid I won't be able to make the mu. A get-together that had been vague has been confirmed for that weekend. Much as I will enjoy that, I would have loved to be there (hopefully next time).

mara, I love the Georgia . I like all of Chloe's new bags, the faye, hudson and drew, are all big hits and are in the 16 pre fall collection,
I'm thinking of getting a mini drew or a celine mini trotteur,

A friend of mine opened a small bakery ,and yesterday was the opening ate way too much, wanted to wear chloe white trackies, but decided to wear navy chanel jacket instead with the row jeans, and chanel sling backs. Felt good.

We went to see Eddie the Eagle Shop - I cried! We had no idea just what he went through to become a member of the Olympic team - it's definitely worth a watch especially if you remember him.

Topaz it's a shame you won't make the MU - hopefully next time.

Lara that's excellent - I like the sound of clean and industrial. The mismatched look is a good one but getting a bit tired now as it's everywhere. Your outfit sounded lovely.

Am after a couple more pairs of ankle length trousers - what does everyone think of these? I really like them but wonder if the seersucker fabric AND stripes might be a little too nautical/Cowes week?

Fedup I like them but am a sucker for seer, dh has a cotton robe where the fabric has gone flat on the bum though.

Lara the design sounds great, I love love an industrial look with wood and brick to soften it. When we finally buy a house in London want to do kitchen like this.

Can't find the liberty robe I bought last week online but wanted to post the fabric as think its beautiful and so springlike.

Last night's dinner was a success. Dh cooked most of it, British asparagus with aged parmesan and truffle vinaigrette followed by poached chicken with morels and my lemon cake plus vintage champagne, 1990. Doing some gardening today to burn it off.

I do love asparagus, my favourite are white asparagus but green ones are lovely as well.

lara our flat in London was in an old converted bank and one of the walls in the living room had exposed brick and I loved it.

My OOTD was very relaxed: Jimmies and one of my new Saint James bretons.

I don't care that most of S&B hates breton tops and find them mumsy, I LOVE them and if this one washes well I might buy it in other colourways.

DH just made me a White Lady. Bliss!
