Come and chat about fashion, make up and anything glittery and frivolous. We'll take your bad hair day seriously and you never have to apologise for a new bag Grin

And if you happen to know where I can find comfortable but stylish trainers in kakhi or dark brown you are particularly welcome (Blatant abuse of thread setting up privileges) Wink

Welcome back Queen glad you had a fab time.
I can sympathise Liberty I have felt the same for weeks. And not sleeping still really isn't helping. I'm the opposite though and eat too much (crap food) when I'm tired and stressed. Id just love a few weeks off work to have a chance to potter at home and relax while the DC are at school but sadly not possible. Instead I too have cut out the wine at home, trying to eat better and reduce my never ending to do list.
Have also reduced my internet time hence while not on here very much.
Have made a few cheap and quirky purchases this week, will link shortly.

VivaVegas · 09/04/2016 10:49

cotton zebra shirt

VivaVegas · 09/04/2016 10:51

bright red dress

VivaVegas · 09/04/2016 10:53

Alsi bought a nice horse print short sleeved top from H&M but can't find it online.

QueenC · 09/04/2016 11:06

Sounds really tough vegas and lib.
Have a good lunch fedup. Outfit sounds lovely.
I'm doing very little today. Still suffering with jet lag and sore throat/cough. Dc need ferrying to parties so that will be it.

AmberNectarine · 09/04/2016 11:07

I am so 90s it hurts today. Oversized white adidas t-shirt tucked into distressed 'mom' jeans, silver reebok classics, black bomber jacket and red tartan scarf.

At a kids party before going to the hairdressers a bit later for some lowlights - bored of flat colour.

libertydoddle · 09/04/2016 12:01

I'm going to look for some cereal bars that are not too sugary does such a thing exist? smoothies would be nice but if a bottle or carton leaked in my bag that would probably be the type of minor disaster that would tip me over the edge!

Vegas I love that zebra shirt! When is your marathon?

Hello all! It feels like ages since I've checked into the thread - been away with work all week, not something I normally do and I honestly don't know how you others do it Blingy, SoyYo. Am knackered, and going back next week too, plus I now have a cold.

It's our wedding anniversary on Monday (cannot believe it tbh!) and tonight we're back to stay in the hotel, it will be so nice to relax in the spa. Tonight I'm going to wear Finery shirt dress with nude heels, and my other outfit will probably be skinnies, riding boots, silk shirt and a blazer.

QueenC love your buys - so glad you had a great time, I really enjoyed seeing your pics.

Shop hope you're having fun, the new hat is fab :)

Lib sorry to hear you're feeling rough, hopefully things will pick up once the weather gets a bit warmer, I think it can make such a difference.

My Stans arrived, size 6 seems to be a keeper and I really like them, so thanks to all who recommended. I just need to try them with lots of things now. Also got the red sandals, which look great, not bad at all for £18!

Waves to everyone, I'll try and post more next week.

Cranagh · 09/04/2016 13:29

Cute sandals, Blair. Happy anniversary.

Outfit sounds great, Fedup.

Hope you have a relaxing weekend, Liberty.

Can you sell the orange AH bag, Shop, and re-buy in red? Though I like orange with navy/black/grey. Have a great holiday.

I'm in old black Whistles top, Zara black skinny jeans and black 50/50s. I've relaxed on the no black. Bad HOC summer.

Cranagh · 09/04/2016 13:32

Fab blazer, Dry, love Reiss. Can't open your links for some reason, Vegas, but they sound good.

AmberNectarine · 09/04/2016 13:35

8y today since DH & I got together and 7y since I found out I was expecting DS Smile

VivaVegas · 09/04/2016 13:48

We have these bars 9 Bars the peanut version are nice too.
And I like these too, quite a few flavours and they do small bags of nibbles too Nakd bars

MarshaBrady · 09/04/2016 15:18

Hello have missed you guys! Had a start when vogue fell off my threads I'm on.

Holiday was really lovely, great weather in the end and the resort was pretty plush. Although the pools were so cold they made my youngest cry and he is hardcore when it comes to swimming! They really loved it though, and the beach was really lovely and the tennis was good, and I have high expectations when it comes to beaches.

Ok going to have a read.

VivaVegas · 09/04/2016 15:56

Sounds lovely Marsha, where were you?

libertydoddle · 09/04/2016 16:57

Thanks Vegas will check those out. The marathon will be an amazing achievement. Can't wait to hear how you get on!

Welcome back Marsha.

Evening!

Wow blair is it one year already?! Congratulations!

lib and vegas sounds like you're both incredibly stressed. I don't know if you have time for it but would some excercise work to let off some steam.

Even if it's a long walk or a swim, just some time to yourself doing something physical that allows you to switch off for a bit.

lib there's these protein energy balls you can make yourself, I will try and find a recipe. Or maybe sleep can advise you on healthy snacks?

queenc and lara I love both pairs of trousers but they are a bit too chino-esque still and I am trying to get out of my comfort zone a bit.

Speaking of which, the IM trainers are keepers! Yay! Even DH likes them.

My only worry now is how to keep them nice and white. Wink

LinusLovesBretons · 09/04/2016 17:08

And welcome back marsha!

VivaVegas · 09/04/2016 17:41

Thanks Linus I'm doing the London Marathon in 2 weeks so am getting more exercise than I've ever had at the moment, although it's winding down now!

QueenC · 09/04/2016 18:08

lib I love almonds for a quick snack. Or walnuts and raisins. Or I also love the naked oats and honey bars or dairy milk.
blair I can't believe its been a whole year. That has flown by.
vegas I am in so much admiration of you doing the marathon. Must take so much toll on your body.
Welcome back marsha

Stokey · 09/04/2016 18:30

Happy anniversary Blair, can't believe it's been a year either. I love the Finery shirt dress, have thought about buying it but just don't suit anything that ties round the middle.

Sorry you're both so stressed Viva and Lib. I'm feeling a bit run ragged after 2 weeks with the DC but very different type of stress! Raw nuts are a good snack, also kallo rice cakes are normally low in additives.

libertydoddle · 09/04/2016 18:57

Thanks for all the sympathy and snack ideas. I did a lot of walking with DD today, went to the shops, library, park etc and 3 hours of fresh air has recharged the batteries. And I have booked a massage for Monday evening. DH has agreed to take DD to her Sunday morning rugby class so I'll go to a class - either yoga if I still feel tired or bodypump if I feel a bit more energetic!

Two little purchases this week - this cotton shirt from H&M which I am wearing now with black skinnies. And in total sheep mode following on Remus's Fat Face thread I bought the Pembroke Pointelle Jumper in the moleskin colour and it is very nice indeed.

Vegas a marathon is really impressive. You'll be so proud.

LinusLovesBretons · 09/04/2016 19:12

chocolate balls for lib

I keep hearing the Chocolate Salty Balls song from South Park when I see recipes like this

libertydoddle · 09/04/2016 19:28

Thanks Linus. You made me laugh too reminding me of South Park.
