What do you think about these sandals?

Been obsessing about these since I first saw them in the catalogue:

www.plumo.com/products/Lina-sandals.html

I need new sandals, and have a white canvas bag I could wear them with in the summer. I mostly wear dresses/skirts in the summer, and trousers and jeans when it's colder and for work (we have a pretty laid back work outfits rules, pretty much anything goes; apart from tracksuits I guess).

But are they really worth all this money - what do you think wise Mumsnetters?

Net a Porter do Ancient Greek Fresta, they do have limited styles though.

Thank you. Just bought some brand new from Ebay for £39 (instead of £50) inc postage. They look so pretty.

DorotheaHomeAlone · 17/03/2016 13:56

Grin does this mean I win the thread? Ive never posted in d&v before and was feeling a little huffy that 'all the linked shoes' were being labelled frumpy! Hope they fit ok.

DorotheaHomeAlone · 17/03/2016 13:57

S&b. Jesus, autocorrect!

ZaraW · 17/03/2016 18:41

Ancient Greek sandals are way overpriced I got a handmade pair fitted to my foot measurements in Greece for less than 50 Euros.

Buzzardbird · 17/03/2016 19:04

I like those Primal does the back rub at your heels though? And they do look comfortable. I find completely flat sandals very uncomfortable.

Buzzardbird · 17/03/2016 19:06

Now I'm hacked off, they only have them in 6's :(

PrimalLass · 17/03/2016 19:36

They don't seem to run at the back but I've only walked around the house. I had a similar style but with multiple straps (my bondage sandals Grin) and they were fine.

PrimalLass · 17/03/2016 19:36

Rub not run

They just got delivered!

MargotLovedTom · 18/03/2016 19:39

I agree that the flatform type sandals (OP linked)'are much less frumpy than the Reiker type with the moulded shaped sole.

The model's feet - Shock....zombie feet!

I love those wedges PrimalLass but they're now sold out Sad.

Bunbaker · 18/03/2016 19:49

I prefer the moulded shaped sole because my feet hurt if I don't wear shoes with moulded soles. I hate uncomfortable shoes.

MargotLovedTom · 18/03/2016 20:31

Yep, totally agree they'll be more comfortable but they're definitely not as fashionable. Anyway, if you like them that's all that matters.

Bunbaker · 18/03/2016 21:33

Quite frankly, I don't care in the least about being fashionable, especially at the expense of foot comfort. Although I expect you will have realised that by now Grin

I will be on my feet all day when we holiday in Florida. Looking fashionable is the least of my priorities.

BunnyTyler · 18/03/2016 22:01

I live in the Rocket Dog wedged flip flops from Spring til Autumn - they are hugely comfortable.

suzannecaravaggio · 18/03/2016 23:19

what about these

or something else from the range

fresta · 19/03/2016 09:04

Those Keen sandals will be great for you Bunbaker Grin. Actually I have a pair for walking trips and the beach in the summer and they are so comfortable, not a fashion item though.

Bunbaker · 19/03/2016 09:34

Grin @ Suzanne I think those Keen sandals are hideous.

suzannecaravaggio · 19/03/2016 09:40

I love them☺
But can appreciate they're not to everyone's taste😉
I am a fugly shoes enthusiast

Bunbaker · 19/03/2016 10:06

Interestingly the sandals that I have that I linked to earlier in the thread get a lot of "I like your sandals" comments. But all of my friends are well into their 40s and above Wink

HoggleHoggle · 19/03/2016 10:13

I'm collecting my Steve Madden sandals from JL this afternoon . Hope they don't flop around my narrow rabbit feet.

MamaAwayOnBusiness · 19/03/2016 15:40

Oooh hoggle tell me how you get on. I won't be able to collect mine before Monday (busy weekend with DS's birthday).

MamaAwayOnBusiness · 19/03/2016 15:41

Which colour did you go for?

OP posts:
HoggleHoggle · 19/03/2016 18:05

I got the tan ones and like them a lot. They are a bit baggy annoyingly but I don't think I'm going to find any that aren't, so I'm going to keep them! They feel narrower than most sandals I try on.

Will post a pic - please can people tell me if they look stupidly loose Blush

What do you think about these sandals?
MamaAwayOnBusiness · 21/03/2016 11:56

They don't seem loose to me Hoggle (and I'm jealous of your pedicure, I still have winter hoofage on).

Off to collect mine soon, can't wait!
