You have a much better memory than me! Have you changed your username?

SoyYo · 03/03/2016 16:47

No its still the same shop it was rather a long time ago! Yes unfortunately I have elephantine memory
BTW My user name is not very original, means "It's Me" in my native Spanish Smile

SoyYo · 03/03/2016 16:52

liberty I second the Clinique chubby sticks I have 4 or 5 on the go like lip butter and prefer to any lipstick (but with less lasting power so you need to reapply more often) I've also tried Burts Bees coloured lip butters but nowhere near as nice as my beloved Chubb sticks

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 03/03/2016 17:03

Feel better soon shop Flowers

Marsha that sounds lovely. Not sure precisely where you are at the moment, but I can't wait to be in HK next month, rooftop bars aplenty I hope!

Lara I love the rainbow stripe trousers! Wish I was brave enough to pull off coloured stripes. I would probably look like a clown.

Thanks Stokey, I have been on loads of vitamins (inc vit c + zinc for immune boost) since I first got ill in November, I think they do help for sure.

I don't really feel like buying anything at the moment, I've lost my shopping mojo as it's between seasons, so I am going to live vicariously through you all :)

justasecond · 03/03/2016 17:32

Hello blair! missed that you were back. Glad you are feeling better.
Bernice I got a size M in the uniqlo trousers and I am a 28 in jeans and roughly size 10 trousers. I could probably have gone for the S but wanted them super comfy.
I am ill too shop have a horrid cold and I made the mistake of going to my hardcore (for me) exercise class last night after a few weeks off so have aching muscles to boot.

So, the mini marcie in grey arrived and its gorgeous. I am confused about which to keep. The disco is more practical but the marcie is just so pretty! but can't get much in it. I am wondering if it would be really wrong to keep both???
would mean no other shopping until at least June. I don't need anything else but would have to be very disciplined. Sorry rambling on now!

maradesbois · 03/03/2016 17:38

Afternoon,

to SoyYo, remember you from a while back, the biker chic with lots of muaaba jackets right? Smile

Am sheltering from the weather in Starbucks and resting my weary feet. Going for cocktails later and wanted to wear my mih skinny Marrakesh but they are so long had to wear acne colts which are too high for daytime really and have done loads of walking and just realised now I can't go on that it wasn't the best idea. Phew that was a long sentence. It was sunny this morning so put on equipment floral shirt to feel springlike but now it's raining.

Marsha your trip sounds good, I love HK. Last time we had great and v reasonable food at tim ho wan downstairs in ifc mall. The big hotels are fab too.

Lara love your luxe trackie bottoms, so springlike. How will you wear them?

Lib welcome home!

Shop oh no that you're coming down with the lurgy, take care. Am late to the question (have spent last few days finishing a real bastard of an essay) but no regrets on what I've bought. Haven't worn choo suede bikers much but still glad to have them.

maradesbois · 03/03/2016 17:42

Oh and don't like the gucci loafers at all either queenc, seem like a one season wonder and don't like backless loafers anyway think they make feet look big. No offence to you either amber, if anyone here can make them work its you.

maradesbois · 03/03/2016 17:45

justa just saw your post, sounds like bag heaven! I say keep both if you can afford it, they are very different bags. I'm very tempted by chloé georgia atm in tan.

SoyYo · 03/03/2016 17:47

mara you're right! Wink good to read you x

Drywhitethanks · 03/03/2016 20:05

Evening all. I'm ashamed to say but I've become addicted to the most incredible crap on Netflix.....can't even tell you what ive wasted 9hrs on my life so far Blush anyway....

Lip gloss hair stick, yuck.

Soyyo I went to N Norfolk last summer on the Shop tour Grin beautiful part of the country.

It snowed yesterday, started at 10am, settled, 3-4cm, then by 5 it had all gone Hmm........ Freezing.

Have made a few sale purchases from Warehouse for work.

Shop loo after yourself. So hard looking after little ones when they're ill.

Larastheme · 03/03/2016 21:13

Glad some of you like my trackies, was a bit worried about the radio silence I got yesterday, Grin , I'm impatiently waiting for them, hope they can momentarily wash away the embarrassment I endured this morning, a tear on my gym leggings on the bum area Blush, didn't find out about till I was back home,dh mentioned that my bum was showing through a hole bigger than a two euro coin, Blush , ive never been this mortified in my whole life, wish someone mentioned something to me!

mara I'm planing to wear them with a cashmere and silk fitted stella M navy crew neck sweater, and I have an oversized cream cashmere sweater that looks like a good option, and for when it warms up, silk shirts,
I Intially was after the black ones, but the sold out so fast, and they are only available in the u.s,but they are like £900,!

marsha sounds good, HK is dh favourite city, he lived there for a couple of years,

justa why not keep just one small bag and get another bigger one?

shop take good care of yourself

Regarding the Gucci, loafer, they are not my style, but I've seen them and the mules on Almost every blogger during fashion weeks , I suspect Gucci gifted these to Luara, along with every blogger just like what they did with their Dionysus bag,

I like what Alessandro Michele is doing so far, and I went a couple of times to try things on, but the moment I put the clothes on they are so wrong , its very quirky, geeky ,with a dose of playfulness that is so alien to me, I always feel the need to re arrange ,and remove stuff, wear them in my own style, but then they endup losing their appeal, and looking so ordinary, styling is very big for Gucci, and doing it wrong, can give the opposite effect,

FedupNagging · 03/03/2016 21:14

Lovely trousers Lara - will be interested to see how you style them.

whispers I quite like a backless loafer although not too keen on the Gucci ones (sorry Amber), the pattern is just too loud man!

You must be getting excited about your hols Blair Envy

Keep both bags Justa enables

Hope you're having a lovely evening Mara - excess alcohol will remove any foot pain you may have so go for it!

Sorry you're feeling unwell Shop, not much fun with the weekend coming up so take care.

Hope all is ok Linus? You've been awfully quiet of late.

shopafrolic · 03/03/2016 21:39

Soyyo it's all coming back to me now. Work trips Paris and more? Is it still crazy?
Marsha when are you home?
Still feeling lousy. Early night for me.

shopafrolic · 03/03/2016 21:45

Lara I would LOVE to go shopping with you. You have such a great sense of what works for you. Smile

QueenC · 03/03/2016 21:58

I thought it was just bobbi brown lip glosses that made my hair stick. I didn't realise they all did it naive. Maybe I'll try the chubby stick.
lara I quite like the trousers but I never quite understand how people can wear white/cream trousers and not get filthy.
justa it sounds like you love the marcie because it's pretty but it doesn't sound very practical if you can't get much in it. Will you actually use it or just stare forlornly at it because it won't hold what you need?

Karcheer · 03/03/2016 22:14

I'd keep both bags #anotherenabler
I still use my marcie everyday, you can get a lot in it considering... You just have to pack it carefully.
I really should sort out my new Gucci and use that, but it's a bit light for all the building work going on.

My first thought about the Gucci loafers was... I'll see them in bicester in a few months time.

maradesbois · 03/03/2016 22:24

karcheer yes! That's what I think.

On my way home (in cab for the feet) from a lovely night catching up with an old friend over cocktails at the Connaught then pizza at delfino, perfect!

Lara my dh loves HK too. We've stayed at landmark mandarin and old mandarin together, both are great. love your styling ideas for the trousers, am sure they'll look great. I prefer the cream to black. Know they wouldn't suit me though. Can't wait to start buying some of my ss pin board, love this board.

Dry what is it? Am intrigued. Have just started watching the night manager on iplayer, really good.

SoyYo · 04/03/2016 09:25

shop that's right I had manic work travel schedule and one of the reasons I couldn't keep up with MN threads over last year
Since Jan things are quieter and only 2 weeks away which is just lovely (before it was 50\60% of my time)
Anyway it won't last but hope 2016 will require a little less travel than previous 3 years...

shopafrolic · 04/03/2016 12:08

how many have you got Blingy?

Stokey · 04/03/2016 13:05

I like Chubby sticks too - grandest grape is my favourite but may be a bit wine for you QueenC?

I've worn my long cardie quite a bit but mainly with above the knee skirts or dresses, which is probably not something Shop or QueenC wear much. I have also worn it with jeans but with another jumper underneath, mine's quite thin though so normally wear it under a coat. I'd still like a chunky one for Spring.

Love those rainbow trackies Lara, lush. And I'll join Amber in the minority liking the Gucci loafers too.

Hope you feel better Shop.

Thanks for the comments on the dress Bernice, I am worried it's a bit worky and structured for me, but it is also quite flattering. I bought this Zara coat to go over it, which is much pinker than it looks in the picture but am not convinced. I'm going to try it on & see what Dh thinks. I think I may try the me & Em one too.

I'm channelling my 90s self today in navy & white striped long-sleeve tee under a button up denim pinafore with a red hoodie on top. Ribbed tights and black Stans, I feel very at home with this look.

BerniceBobsHerHair · 04/03/2016 13:20

SoyYo I remember you too now that Mara mentioned the MuuBaa jackets - and that led me to a MNV question - what item of clothing do you associate with each MNVer.

So, just off the top of my head, a few thoughts:
QueenC a cardigan of course
Shop leather leggings
Dry caged heels
Blingy RM style dress
Mara Marni dress
One a skater dress

I have an idea of what would be associated with me but will keep quiet and see if it comes up!!

shopafrolic · 04/03/2016 13:27

Great question Bernice
I'll add...

Marsha Rossi heels and cashmere
Liberty my Chloe peacoat

Dry the broderie anglaise blouse of course!

libertydoddle · 04/03/2016 14:28
