Feeling a bit sick of winter clothes? Looking forward to Spring Summer? Dry (and not-so-dry) January is over. Come and join us for fashion links and more. It's friendly here. Smile

Funny that you think Stans for me Lib I only managed to wear them twice before the weather turned bad - looking forward to wearing them this Spring.

libertydoddle · 04/03/2016 15:17

I think it's a feeling that they are very you shop. I almost said Pistols for you.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 04/03/2016 16:11

Im not sure what my list would be, id have to think about it but everything picked for me so far is spot on, absolutely spot on

today's OOTD is a grey and black striped long sleeve tee under a denim pinafore dress with black thermal tights, a mid green long ribbed boyfriend cardigan and currently, black and white batman footie slippers

AmberNectarine · 04/03/2016 16:28

Great question Bernice - I associate you with cool trainers and vintage dresses.

This arrived today (oh look, another bodycon dress) and predictably I LOVE it. I had a HN reward voucher (great scheme IMO, for anyone who shops there a lot) so it didn't cost me much. Know I will wear it loads. Will save for DH's birthday weekend, I think.

Have had crazy work week so little else to report!

VivaVegas · 04/03/2016 17:41

Dripping in for what seems to just be a weekly event at the moment, crazy work week, very wintery weather and trying to fit in marathon training, aggghhhh!
Out tonight with some friends for s few drinks and dinner but very casual and weather awful so have planned on pleather skinnies, quilted Hush jumper dress (love this so cosy!) and bikers.
Love the relating clothing to people! The flowery superstars arrived and not sure, they seem very wide and round and with skinny ankles make me feel like Minnie Mouse! Love the print so need to have a proper try.

SoyYo · 04/03/2016 19:02

Love that my Muubaa leather jacket obsession sparked the descriptions of each MNV styleWink
Clever Bernie I like how you think and its really helped me remember each and every one of you

Apart from my biker chick Muubaa look (gig tomorrow so one of my leathers getting its regular outing with skinnies, bike t shirt, boots and black eyeliner) I also like to cultivate and nourish my inner middle-aged crone.
Work is boring (sorry sober) business dress so...for the "mad lady" strictly at home look I love Gudrun Sjoden, sorry about thatBlush
Which reminds me of the parcel that just arrived this p.m. So I'll go and model my old lady purchases before DH gets home

Have a wonderful weekend!! (am I allowed to stay on this thread?) Flowers

Karcheer · 04/03/2016 19:42

these are so pretty, but not in my size :(

Karcheer · 04/03/2016 19:45

these are also pretty, maybe a 36 would fit me. I'm always a bit funny about ankle straps as I think they make me look shorter.

justasecond · 04/03/2016 19:45

well done Lib, spot on for me. I may have a long coat or ten in my wardrobe Grin

QueenC · 04/03/2016 19:54

Ooh bit late and probably won't say anything different but here's mine...
shop sweatshirts, breton
marsha lanvin flats, rossi stilettos
mara Marni prints, chanel jacket
amber bodycon dresses, stilettos
one tees, cardis and docs
bernice quirky shoes, mid length dresses
vegas cobalt blue, Mary Jane shoes
sleep red tart dress
blingy bling, structured dress
blair pencil skirts, zarita
fedup skater shoes, flowing trousers
topaz breton, polka dots
dry peplums, cream lace
stokey high tops, emerald skirt

Hope I haven't missed anyone....

Thanks for the recommendations for the chubby stick. I was a bit Hmm at £17 but rather pay for something ive tried on rather than waste money on 2 or 3 cheaper ones that don't suit.

I've also bought a couple of things and tried some stuff on. Will link now (have to do it seperately othetwise iPad loses everything)

QueenC · 04/03/2016 19:57

Tried this top on. Lovely top but looked weird on me. I don't think cold shoulders suit me sadly.

QueenC · 04/03/2016 20:03

Bought this. Cos, you know, I need another navy top Grin

QueenC · 04/03/2016 20:06

Tried this as would be a good work dress but it made my hips look huge

QueenC · 04/03/2016 20:07

Also tried this but it felt to clingy for me

QueenC · 04/03/2016 20:09

Bought this dress as dh thought I needed another dress.

Karcheer · 04/03/2016 20:48

queen you are definitely in a blue phase! The cols shoulder is very pretty, but I think you have to have a certain shape and attitude maybe to carry them off.
Love what you bought.

Drywhitethanks · 04/03/2016 20:52

QueenC I love the cobalt Warehouse dress for you, can't wait to see you in it........and I'm over peplums now after a very unflattering Christmas Day picture Grin think it wasn't necessarily the peplum that made me look pregnant , perhaps the xmas pudding

Bernice excellent question:

Mara Birkin
Lara Chanel jacket
linus Stella black dress
Shop black leather skinnies, Superstars
Amber AW body con dress you haven't 'got your Wang out' for ages A and the Rocco.
QueenC navy short sleeved blouse
liberty Brogues
Marsha Lanvin flats, Trio ?
Blingy caged sandal, RM dresses
One DMs
Sleep J Crew rose gold stilettos
Bernice full midi skirt, fitted top
Stokey high tops
Fedup yellow trousers

Woke up to a white out. Freezing, have just warmed up. Thank God I got new car on Wednesday with heated steering wheel Grin....turned everything on on the way to work and was wearing my down coat.....got too hot, couldn't work out how to turn it all off without getting manual out/crashing ...arrived looking puce Grin

dry heated steering wheel sounds amazing!
I liked Orange is the new black.

Topazandpearl · 05/03/2016 07:22

Love both your new dress and new top QueenC.

I recognised your name Soyyo, but it was the Muubaa jacket that helped me remember you. I love the lists that followed. I don't post on here as much as others, so the image I present may be different here to real life. Work colleagues would associate Me&Em dresses and short jackets with me. Weekends would be jeans and shirts or jumpers (and yes to polka dots and Bretons Grin).

What would other people associate with you? Does it match MNV?

I'd love a heated steering wheel Dry. Enjoy your new car.

QueenC · 05/03/2016 08:03

topaz weekends/days off people would definitely associate me with navy blouses and cardigans. Work people would associate me with black cords at the moment. And probably being smart as most others in the office and very casual.

karcheer I love royal blue and navy. Feel at my best in those colours.

Stokey · 05/03/2016 08:56

Great Q Bernice - I associate you with flowery midi dresses.
I think most of my others are quite similar but:
QueenC - navy lace top
karcheer - Jimmy Choos
Topaz - I was going to say Me + Em dress
Vegas - Me + EM too or Hush
Dry - Claire Underwood casual and series 4 is out
Marsha - Marant jacket
Shop - blazer and sweatshirt
Amber - cropped tops, dungarees and cut out amazing bod
Blingy - structured dresses or preppy casual
Blair - tucked in shirts, pencil skirts ans smart trousers
Mara - flowery shirts and dresses
Lara - Stella boho
Fedup - Vans & stripes
Sleep - layered jewellery
Liberty - skirts and autumn colours
One - DMs, skirts and cartoon tees

Some of my definitions are a bit wide. I actually have barely worn my high tops recently, think I'll break them out today in MN homage.

VivaVegas · 05/03/2016 09:25

Morning! Slight hangover, that 'lets just have another bottle' call when you should really be calling a cab!
These are my flower Superstars quite sweet and a bit different and thought they would brighten things up. Will try on with a few more things over the weekend to see if I can get over the Minnie Mouse issue! I have Gazelles from last year and they are slim and narrow which I think might suit me better. For those with Stans are they quite wide/round? Not sure if I need to compare but do fancy a bit of colour.
Great Warehouse buys Queen love the top and dress you got.
Stokey I saw that pink jacket in Zara I think it would look fab with black but it is very bright. Would also be good with black trousers and top. Might have another look myself now I'm thinking about it!
Enjoy your Saturday's.

libertydoddle · 05/03/2016 09:51

Hmmmmm Vegas. They strike me as a bit fussy which doesn't seem to fit with the usual Stans minimal vibe. But depends on personal style. Good idea to try with a few different outfits. Good luck with the marathon training. Will be such an amazing achievement to do it.

Great dress QueenC. Warehouse has some lovely dresses ATM.

Having a chilled morning in PJ's drinking tea and flicking through magazines. Bliss.

shopafrolic · 05/03/2016 11:08

Morning all. Just back from docs and I have picked up DS' tracheal infection which explains why I feel so awful. Rest for me and Mother's Day a write off. Am feeing sorry for myself. :(
Topaz everyone knows my style to be the same because I am a SAHM. In my previous work life I'd have been known for tailored fitted dresses and heels and statement handbags. Sigh!
Not sure about those Superstars. They are the widest trainer I own and I think I prefer them quite classic. I saw a pair of cobalt blue Stans the other day which looked fab.
Uniqlo trousers have arrived. Will try later if I free better.
