Oh MI - why not :)

hattymattie · 14/01/2016 17:56

BTM - my husband is from the low bit of Savoie Smile

Rudy - I would say what BTM suggested - sounds a good outlet.

I love posh bags - although I always feel I'd have to measure up beside them. I like Michel Kors/Le Tanneur expensive though not Mulberry which is a whole different league.

Rose - DH's really don't get that you want to feel you're worth an expensive bag even if you have no intention of buying one.

hattymattie · 14/01/2016 17:58

Sad about Alan Rickman - can't believe same age as Bowie and also from cancer Confused. I have to say, I am sporting a hairdo dangerously resembling Prof Snape and I desperately need to remedy this.

MrsSchadenfreude · 14/01/2016 19:23

Drunk, in lust but gong home.

Coach is my choice of bag, Rose. Esp in the sale.

Mulberry overpriced, over hyped and not particularly good quality.

Are you on the bus, Mrs S? Wine

hattymattie · 14/01/2016 19:46

Agreed re Mulberry Mrs S - the price is unjustifiable.

bigTillyMint · 14/01/2016 19:57

Ooh err, MrsSWink

MrsSchadenfreude · 14/01/2016 20:06

Home now and getting a grip. Sad

MrsS not him again?

GiddyGiddyGoat · 14/01/2016 21:10

I'm looking over my glasses (varifocals natch) at you in a ever so slightly reproving way Mrs S.

GiddyGiddyGoat · 14/01/2016 21:11

Perhaps my stern gaze would be more convincing if my grammar wasn't shit?

GiddyGiddyGoat · 14/01/2016 21:13

We have been en famille to see the Lumiere festival - the bits around Kings Cross - overall a bit meh in my opinion - followed by a freezing cold walk and a curry. I'm very easily pleased and a cheap date.

MrsSchadenfreude · 14/01/2016 22:20

I don't need a stern gaze or a Paddington Hard Stare. I have behaved impeccably.

Maybe apart from describing someone in our office as looking like the sort of man who goes home for a microwave meal for one and a wank.

As you were then. Have a Grin from me instead. X

Stropperella · 14/01/2016 22:33

Coming in late here, but: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BD Grin Grin

Sorry, I'm all behind. I'm not very good with me work/life balance at the moment. :)

GiddyGiddyGoat · 14/01/2016 22:59

Later still.... but yes, a VERY Happy Birthday BD!

Fantastic news about dd making it to her appointment Stropps.

bigTillyMint · 15/01/2016 06:53

I had a lovely tea cooked by Dp and ds, some fab pressies from ds chosen by him (the holiday was my present from Dp) and too much wine, but not at work today so still in bed..... I try not to work my b'day if possible.

The bag thing, as those who have met me will know, I just don't get.....

Rudy next time! As I said this will be a monthly thing.
Have a good Friday all.

hattymattie · 15/01/2016 11:02

Wow Rudy - talk about pushing it to the wire. The closing date is today isn't it? DD2 is very frustrated as three uni's have written saying they're waiting for the closing date, despite her getting hers in early December.

She as got two good offers though, one from KCL (the high one) and Surrey, a nice attainable (I hope) one. Looking at her friends, many uni's seem to be giving out higher offers then last year, or random unexpected offers rather than standards. Confused.

Well done Rudy , on the job, and to master Rudy for getting the UCAS big red button pressed. Why indeed should anyone know what they want to do at 18? Of course your ds might change his mind.
I still don't know what I want to be/do? Do you think it's too late at 50?

BD many happy returns for yesterday. Sounds like you had a good day. Sorry about the bag gift. Dh often gives me gadgets.Hmm ultimately useful , but not really what I want for my birthday.
Maybe you can return it secretly in a few weeks? how is work btw?

Still can't see. Optician retested my eyes, didn't really say anything, but finally admitted that the lens on the lhs is wrong, and will have to be redone. Yesterday in work ( computer one big smudge) I struggled all day and then gave up and came home early. Went to Pilates, but by the time I got back , my head was so sore it was thumpingConfused. Massive headache this morning too. May have to go for a wee lie down soon. Sad

Blackduck · 15/01/2016 15:34

:) Cremo, I didn't get a bag - I think Rose was talking about having one? I was saying I don't get the whole handbag thing so when people talk about Coach, Mulberry etc it goes over my head!
Work is pants, I am trying not to involve myself too much, just doing what I need to do.
