Marsha pressie sounds exciting

Blingy hope you get to unwind over the festive period

Viva and Bernice I love my Petty's still look good after 2 years

I don't think I've seen Love Actually, is that the one with Martine McCutcheon in? Seen all the others though.

QueenC · 23/12/2015 20:15

dry glad you've had a lovely time despite the naked men
blingy hurrah on finishing work. Anyone working tomorrow?
Not sure what Dh has got me-hopefully dressing gown and jewellery box and possibly a bag or bracelet but I haven't seen any parcels so I'm really not sure. He's disappointed as ive told him I haven't got him an iwatch which is what he was really hoping for. But I have really Xmas Grin

Evening all.
Marsha sounds such a fun day
I'm with the Love Actually haters. DH loves it.
Friends over tomorrow. Canapés and fizz and then the big one on Christmas Day. Will part cook bits tomorrow to ease the pressure.
Feel funny this year. The kitchen has meant all the decorations etc have gone up late. Normally hang cards on ribbons over all the doors. Not sure I can be bothered now.
What's everyone wearing in Christmas Day?

shopafrolic · 23/12/2015 20:28

Can't see any Pettys left?

KittyHello · 23/12/2015 20:43

Shop there were grey Pettys on Very earlier on for £80, they didn't have any size 8s.

KittyHello · 23/12/2015 20:44

Tops meant to answer Christmas ooTD, hoping to pop into town tomorrow to buy a leopard print jersey dress to wear with opaques.

KittyHello · 23/12/2015 20:44

Oops not tops!

FedupNagging · 23/12/2015 20:54

I'll be wearing my Christmas jumper on Christmas Day obviously - it's very tasteful, honest!

I gave dh a list to choose several items from and so far only one small box and an envelope has landed up under the tree; only 36 hours to wait Xmas Grin

Marsha your day sounded great - hope you like your pressie.

Blingy hope you manage to rest and relax after your manic work schedule.

Dry your poor dd - am assuming non of the chaps looked anything remotely like David Beckham? Or anyone equally as buff?!

it sounds like you have turned a corner now Blair which is brilliant.

shopafrolic · 23/12/2015 21:22

Oooo they have the glitter boots too Smile

shopafrolic · 23/12/2015 21:23

And my Karen boots

libertydoddle · 23/12/2015 21:38

Sounds like a great day Marsha. I am not sure what to wear Christmas day. Only the three of us so PJ's are tempting!

Am channelling dry ATM. Wrapping presents, sipping wine, Buble crooning Christmas songs to set the mood Grin

OK non fashion question - what's your best childhood Christmas memory? Mine is our family christmas eve routine. Late snack of homemade sausage rolls and mince pies, then given a new outfit to wear to midnight mass. I can still sense the excitement of all the children in the church. I am not religious now but couldn't imagine Christmas without midnight mass.

QueenC · 23/12/2015 21:50

shop not sure yet. Possibly cobalt blouse and jeans or a dress.
lib probably waking up and going into the living room to see that father christmas had been. Also going into town a few weeks before Christmas to do late night Thursday shopping and see the lights with dm ( in those days shops only opened late on a Thursday in the run up to Christmas. Imagine that now!).

Being allowed to open one present before church on Christmas Day and then playing with it under the pews. And singing the descant parts of Hark the herald Angels sing with my friend at the school carol concert Xmas Smile

QueenC · 23/12/2015 22:01

Just been onto the next website and they have their spring stuff online Shock

VivaVegas · 23/12/2015 22:04

Black suede pettys still on Next, sizes 3,4,5,6 and 8 and grey suede in sizes 3,4,5,6,7 and 8. Also some nice SE black suede fringed boots and Karen's in golden caramel leather (sounds very exotic!).
All packed up to go in the morning, shame awful weather is forecast, could be a long day!

LinusLovesBretons · 23/12/2015 22:34

I am back in the land of WiFi! Yay!

Will try and catch up tomorrow if DM doesn't keep me busy with Christmas Eve prep.

Just wanted to say my NaP sale buys are perfect. APC blouse is a gorgeous colour and has lovely sleeves and the Splendid dress is a perfect throw on dress.

I also ordered a white Vanessa Bruno Athé dress (early spring/summer buy) in the MyTheresa sales today, will link tomorrow.

I hope it fits as they recommended sizing down so I got an xs.

Drywhitethanks · 23/12/2015 22:48

Blingy haven't a clue what DH is getting me for xmas should be fun on the big day, yikes but after the lovely trip he just organised for DD and me I really hope he's not gone crazy.

Liberty i adored our family Christmases when I was growing up especially the lack of formality on Christmas day morning. I was surprised to discover in later life that not everyone opens their pressies in their pjs, but some people DH's family have to wait until everyone is dressed to do it Xmas Shock

Drywhitethanks · 23/12/2015 22:49

Oh and fashion wise, I really really fancy a pair of red trainers to wear with Skinnies in the spring. Saw Does my Bum wearing her Super Stars and they look fab.

libertydoddle · 23/12/2015 23:15

I was Shock to discover people waited to open presents too dry! shop I also have great memories of carol singing as a teenager, I used to go around all the pubs in our local town carol singing on Christmas eve. And one Christmas the nuns got the whole school to perform Handel's Hallelujah chorus - that was such a thrill.

libertydoddle · 23/12/2015 23:15

And my wrapping is done. How is DH doing blingy?

Karcheer · 23/12/2015 23:39

Hello,
I'm back from NYC was brilliant walked for miles and miles. Didn't do much shopping but did buy a white blazer and a tan blazer from Stella McCartney in the sales.

Stokey · 24/12/2015 07:52

Welcome back Karcheer

I watched Love Actually too last night while wrapping presents & drinking whisky Macs, off the wine as got another cold. Bits are very funny, I love Bill Nighy. People say DH looks like HG but I don't see it.

I have very happy memories of midnight mass as a teenager. We'd have a drinks party before and all rock up rather merry.

DH is getting me the zatchels bag, same as Shop's, I know because I took delivery yesterday! I'm gutted that he found my present to him in the printer. I thought it hadn't worked so had painstakingly wrapped up clues, then he went to get our panto tickets & underneath were Crystal Maze tix.

Love the sound of your weekend Dry. A school Mum was wearing gold superstars the other day, they were ace.

Like Lib we're on our own on Xmas day so not sure what to wear, probably a Christmas jumper. DM has bought the Dds stunning Indian dresses as a present, which I'm sure they'll want to wear... I'll be very dowdy next to them!

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 24/12/2015 07:58

welcome back karcheer sounds like you had a fab time and the blazers sound lovely

i'm 99% certain i've got a kidney infection, got all the tell tale signs so i've got a drs appointment later. i'm very lucky that my doctors is open every day of the year so i could get seen

dragging myself out in a little while to see my nieces and nephew, i should be fine as long as i've got painkillers and i wrap up warm, i really dont want to disappoint them

is everyone ready now?!

libertydoddle · 24/12/2015 08:13

Good that your doctor can see you one. Take care of yourself.

Have a lovely Christmas eve everyone!
