Fur or feathers, leather or lace, suede or velvet, come & tell us what you're wearing as the festive season comes our way. What's on your Christmas wishlist and what are you saving for the sales?

From designer to downtown, all are very welcome for chats about fashion, frolics and whatever else tickles your fancy.

Continuing from here

I don't really know what to say today - this feels like the start of something new and more scary. So sad.
Fashion feels a little too lightweight somehow - but perhaps that's what's needed HmmSad Confused

I know what you mean Shop. Today I went into town to get my hair fixed, took the DC out to lunch and am out tonight. It all feels frivolous and I feel removed but also the mundane and frivolous is slightly comforting. Being in central London and seeing people on the streets helped.

I'm working with a Paris agency on something I really feel for them so much, it seems odd what we do but I suppose there's no other way than to keep going with stuff. I hope they are all ok.

A ramble, but that powerful peace for Paris image on FB etc is close to how I feel.

Just posted a vid about the artist - what a talent - shame it took this for people to realise.
We did lunch out - Strictly night tonight (as per). Things will go back to normal - they always do, but with the Charlie Hebdo attacks people they were more targeted - this is so random - could be any city, anywhere, anytime. I remember when I was little and there were bombings in London. SO much more organised and fair reaching now.
Anyway - will take it off Vogue. Enjoy your evening my lovely.

I know what you mean about fashion seeming frivolous today Shop, I fully intended to give an update on the frozen boots but actually, I'm not that much bothered at the moment.

Blingy hope you feel better soon.

Stokey, glad your friends are ok and Marsha hope your work colleagues are ok. Flowers for everyone.

Tragically history is full of humans doing barbaric things to other humans in the name of organised religion. I find it slightly sad that these attacks garnered so much more attention and emotional outpouring than those in Beirut the day before, purely because they happened in a glamourous Western city. Human lives are human lives.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 14/11/2015 19:13

Hear hear Amber. I agree with this message from one of the Charlie Hebdo cartoonists.

QueenCardi · 14/11/2015 19:53

I know how you feel shop. I nearly went fantasy shopping today but it felt not right. Also agree with amber but unfortunately the terrorists know that a glamorous western City will provoke this reaction and outrage.

Anyway, Ive had a couple of glasses of prosecco, pizza and lemon tart and are watching strictly. Almost a bit bored by it as nothing is wowing me despite the high scores being got Confused.

QueenCardi · 14/11/2015 19:58

Take it all back...loved Georgia's charleston!

MarshaBrady · 14/11/2015 20:31

I like that too Blair

AmberNectarine · 14/11/2015 20:38

Yep, lots of media coverage, spreading the net of fear far and wide, which is what propegates terrorism. Also seems these acts were targeted at young people (trendy district, a bit like going for East London) - the cynic in me thinks they wanted the hashtags and twitter trending.

Well, changing our behaviour in the face of terrorism is letting them win, whether it means altering your movements or not linking glittery party dresses, so I, for one, will be back tomorrow with some sparkly links. Paris is, after all, the fashion capital of the world - it would be a disservice to them not to do so.

QueenCardi · 15/11/2015 07:21
