Fur or feathers, leather or lace, suede or velvet, come & tell us what you're wearing as the festive season comes our way. What's on your Christmas wishlist and what are you saving for the sales?

From designer to downtown, all are very welcome for chats about fashion, frolics and whatever else tickles your fancy.

one I'm putting mine up tomorrow night so the DC wake up to the tree and their advent calendars on the morning of the first. Slightly worried that the cat will see the tree as the kitty equivalent of Thorpe park, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. He's in disgrace for interrupting DH and I at an, ahem, in opportune time.

I have to thank lara for the recommendation of this skirt which I bought with my preview discount at NAP - wore it today with OTK boots and a ribbed knit and love it!

AmberNectarine · 29/11/2015 21:57

Last one from me and it's a style dilemma:

I need an outfit that will be suitable for both a recording of Xmas TOTP and a client event(!) - WTF should I wear?!

Drywhitethanks · 29/11/2015 22:04

Could you wear all black and Jazz it up? Hmm or just change top/shoes?

Drywhitethanks · 29/11/2015 22:05

Amber I'm with your mother about lights. But I can't be bothered to argue about lights........

AmberNectarine · 29/11/2015 22:10

I think all black is a good call dry

Drywhitethanks · 29/11/2015 22:19

I need help too.
I have a statement cuff which is pewter diamante with a big rose on it, bit. Art Deco .
I need a necklace to go with I'm wearing plain black dress has anyone seen anything? I'm thinking statement, sparkly.

Karcheer · 29/11/2015 22:19

What do you think of these Ganni coats? fenn or washington
Which would suit a 5ft booby me best?

shopafrolic · 29/11/2015 22:37

What do you have to do to get a NAP preview discount? Stamps feet. I want that skirt Confused

Drywhitethanks · 29/11/2015 22:42

This cuff

Drywhitethanks · 29/11/2015 22:58

Karcheer honestly.....I find wrap coats are tricky 5ft 3 nearly as they are all bulky in the middle and seem to cut me in half and make me look squat. Add boobs into the equation and I think it might look messy.
The second style will elongate your body as it's very streamlined, single breasted and the funnel neck adds to the illusion too, it's all neater. However, funnel necks can be tricky if you have boobs so you'll have to try it.

Drywhitethanks · 29/11/2015 23:00

But that's just my opinion...Smile

HappyGirlNow · 29/11/2015 23:08

Love that cuff dry

AmberNectarine · 30/11/2015 06:46

shop, you need to spend a fortune. However, I have a Matches code if you want it?

QueenCardi · 30/11/2015 07:56

Just giggling about the arguments about Christmas lights. Dh would too go full on outside but luckily you can't really see our house from the road so I tell him theres no point. Luckily our cats ignore the tree although they will play with any baubles that fall off.

No time to catch up properly on links but Envy at totp recording. I didn't even realise they still did christmas totp .

Slightly concerned that my walk to work is going to end up with me looking a bit wet, wild and windswept.

FedupNagging · 30/11/2015 08:39

I love it when all the Christmas lights go up and love ott except on my house it brightens up the dreary nights. Dh's job this week is to put up the outside lights - soft white around the porch and the tree.

Shop as I was posting the dress I did think that's not really your colour and would be better in something much darker.

Blingy love your Christmas gift pins.

Fairly busy day today so better get a wriggle on. Weather awful so ootd will be nothing very exciting.

shopafrolic · 30/11/2015 09:35

Thanks Amber but won't be ordering from Matches again after that CS issue. Love the skirt but after a night's sleep realise that it would be best suited on the legs of someone younger than me :)
I've woken up with the pre Christmas fear. Does anyone else get that? We're going to ILs this weekend and I need all the Norfolk presents sorted. Panic mode.

MarshaBrady · 30/11/2015 12:28

Shop bathroom is done, looks brilliant. Really happy with it, especially with the Fired Earth stuff really good loo sink and tiles etc

Booking in painting and decorating soon for final push.

I have a birthday party before Christmas for Ds turning six. Need to concentrate on that first.

shopafrolic · 30/11/2015 12:41

I nearly kissed a stranger in the Entertainer when they told me they had DS' Paw Patrol (double star on the list for Father Christmas) look out tower. Can breathe a sigh of relief.
Fab about bathroom Marsha. He is installing the sink today so I spent hours pondering tap placement. Small things Hmm

MarshaBrady · 30/11/2015 12:50

Oh I know we spent some angst on position of loo roll holder

shopafrolic · 30/11/2015 12:53

Lol. Am sat in my local Jamie's Italian having a sneaky solo lunch. Nice.

Karcheer · 30/11/2015 15:55

My green zarita arrived, I love it. I think I could have got the us2 but the 4 is fine.

Right what shall I buy now ladies? ;)

QueenCardi · 30/11/2015 16:04

Just got home to my new backpack. I really like it. Not sure how long it will stay looking good but ive had a scratch at it and it doesn't seem to scratch easily ( I'm always worried about that with metallic stuff).
shop I must have missed the skirt you were after?

Drywhitethanks · 30/11/2015 17:50

Ooh Marsha your bathroom sounds fab.
Not long now shop hang in there.and I'm having huge Christmas panic. Dd really hasn't given me any ideas for a main present although lots of little bits have ideas for dh and ds pretty sorted. Panicking that I'm forgetting someone important as I haven't made a proper list. Need to sit down and do a spreadsheet if I knew how Grin

Sad Envy at Fedup soft white lights.

Had a tricky day at work. Icy colleague winding me up a lot with her frostiness Angry

Drywhitethanks · 30/11/2015 17:52

Perhaps my plan to kill her with kindness and thaw her out but my friendly chatter isn't working Grin

Drywhitethanks · 30/11/2015 17:53

And..... I've been chatting friendly-ly for 3 months!!!
