Fur or feathers, leather or lace, suede or velvet, come & tell us what you're wearing as the festive season comes our way. What's on your Christmas wishlist and what are you saving for the sales?

From designer to downtown, all are very welcome for chats about fashion, frolics and whatever else tickles your fancy.

Lol at dd QueenC - presumably not for a few years though, right? Wink

And so my working week begins. OOTD is Jemima Vine snake print pointy flats, DKNY grey skinny trousers, H&M cream ribbed top and ancient Boden pale grey merino cardi. Z for accessorize Gold medallion, grey Gucci scarf and grey MK tote to accessorize. Not that exciting but it'll do.

FedupNagging · 24/11/2015 08:25

I love BR clothes - have met someone fairly senior at BR socially a few times and every time I shamefully beg them to open a store near me!

Do I take it from everyone's radio silence that my berry jumper is actually not that nice? Was thinking of wearing it today but now having second thoughts!

Karcheer · 24/11/2015 08:34

blair I've my Amelia Jane bobble hat, which will definitely be coming.
kitty I'm sorry I was AWOL for so long. It was easier to keep to the capsule wardrobe without any temptation, but tbh I've just been too busy with the builders. The boden pouch looks very cute. They've just sent a 30% off Black Friday email! I'm tempted to just do a big shop with them as that worked so well in the summer, but that seems lazy ;) what are the bags?!?!?
I've my big warm Prada jacket but it's filthy as it's been splattered with concrete from the builders and mud from the dogs, ideally I'd get it cleaned but I'm wearing it everyday, plus I'm worried what they'll do with the fur collar :/
queen I've a hat (as above) and a warm jacket (as above) I don't own a long coat, which I wonder might be useful walking the streets, but obvs a big investment. I don't have flat boots uggs rip I've a few therma wotzits from uniqlo.
I don't own any properly thick jumpers I threw them all. I do have two blue jeans that'll be fine (although could get another pair as they are on their way out), I do have my lovely brown leather trousers, which in think could be good for eves dressed up but would need tops, I've worn them with a silk ivory vest from j crew and a winter white blazer from miss selfridge (which for the record isn't very nice, so if anyone sees a better option shout) but works well colourwise, but this would be way too thin for a NYC eve out, plus can't throw the Prada jacket over the top as it would look odd!

MarshaBrady · 24/11/2015 08:36

Fedup it's really nice. Def wear it!

libertydoddle · 24/11/2015 10:19

Oh no Fedup, it's lovely! Great colour and I can totally see it with a shirt layered underneath.

Sorry for my moany posts last night, am in the frantic week of trying to clear as much as possible before holidays and new problems just seem to keep cropping up all the time.

Bernice good to see you. Packing is ok - DH is sorting himself and DD out and I have all my summer clothes and holiday stuff I bought in August in a separate box so should be easy to pack. And we have 30kg allowance each so don't have to stress about chucking in a few extra things.

MarshaBrady · 24/11/2015 10:48

Lib I had that once - kept asking me pointless questions about what I liked. I hope it never happens again - I didn't know what was going on and it was highly irritating!

LinusLovesBretons · 24/11/2015 11:03

It's a lovely jumper fedup and a gorgeous colour!

I am in town trying to finish my Christmas shopping before December begins. Wink

I might not succeed but I give it a damn good try.

shopafrolic · 24/11/2015 11:38

Sorry - I haven't had any time to catch up on links and now I have a question.... Have any of you London crowd been to Sky bar and can tell me what the dress code is? Website says smart casual - is it a jeans and heels and top kind of place or is everyone in dresses?

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 24/11/2015 13:42

Haven't been there shop is that the bar at Sky garden?

Managed to get a docs appointment for Tuesday morning. I'm feeling better today, just got to wait for my swelling to go down.

Annoying that my skirt link didn't work, it must be what Dry said about products that aren't on sale anymore. It's my Clover Canyon scuba skirt, will try to attach a screenshot.

I haven't been either Shop but reckon you'll get a mix. I always feel a bit underdressed when I'm out in the city as you get a lot of folk coming straight from work in dresses and suits. I'm sure you'll be fine in jeans & heels - or go for your leather trousers & blazer combo to smarten up a bit?

Love that skirt Blair, a cropped top would look great with it. I'd probably go a bit boho with a black peasant top, but I don't have your twentysomething stomach (RIP).

I had that pinterest phone thing too yesterday Lib, infuriating, I think it's cos it updated the app.

Hello Karcheer. TK Maxx are good for jumpers if you can get to one, they had quite a few Clement Riberio cashmere ones that were nice last time I was in. I'd take some trainers and boots, maybe ones you could wear in the day or evening? It'll be warm inside so you can wear a nice top & brown trousers for the evening and just ditch coat at the check.

I'm trying to focus a bit more on my time management too Kitty. I've just downloaded a pomodoro app - basically the idea is you focus on one project for 25 mins, then get a 5 min break, then do the same again four times until you get a 15-20 min break. It's a great way to stop yourself wittering away time on internet! In fact it's telling me to stop MNetting now... hasta luego ladies.

Hello,
I've been to the restaurant not the bar at Sky, I wore jeans, heels and a nice top. I'm sure the bar would be the same.

FedupNagging · 24/11/2015 15:43

Phew - I thought you were all maintaining a dignified silence Wink. Decided to wear it anyway with white shirt bib (eBay) Next flares and Ash pumps.

Shop Sky garden & bar has been on mine and dsis' wish list for a while now - hoping to get there sometime soon. Will look forward to hearing what it's like.

Great skirt Blair - definitely something plain and simple - black or navy cami/vest tucked in if you're wearing for a party or a cropped top which you can def wear.

I have spent the day wrapping presents preens and only have a couple more to buy now. Can't believe I'm so organised this year.

QueenCardi · 24/11/2015 16:16

Hello. Sorry fedup missed your jumper link but I like it. They do a lot of crap lately but you can't beat gap for jeans and jumpers.
blair would go with what fedup says. Either cami or crop top. And heels.

Wore black trousers and new jigsaw jumper today and really liked it. I don't usually do navy and black in the day but as its a jumper it looked less dressed up iyswim.

shopafrolic · 24/11/2015 17:08

this is the place Not actually me that is going unfortunately - asking for a buddy.

FedupNagging · 24/11/2015 17:27

Oh it's not the same place - looks a lot of fun though.

This is where we'd like to go.

GAP is a funny place - some clothes are terrible quality and others are great but as you say they are great for jumpers. I never pay fp though - had 30% discount yesterday which makes it worthwhile.

MarshaBrady · 24/11/2015 19:27

Seriously thought I'd lost you all. My phone did something funny I lost the ability to sign in - argh on the outside. Lib it's because I said that about pin, my phone struck me back.

Mild panic. Will relax at dinner with a glass of wine

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 24/11/2015 19:43

It's ok Marsha Are you still in Copenhagen? Can't keep track of all your travels lately :)

Thanks re skirt, looks like I need to try with a silk cami, I have a navy one. If I did a crop top, it would be one that shows a sliver of upper stomach only!

Fedup that's the place I was thinking of. Yes love Gap jumpers!

Karcheer · 24/11/2015 19:46

fedup that's the place I've been to.

AmberNectarine · 24/11/2015 20:21

I love a crop top with a pencil skirt - that that is what I wore to last MU.

AmberNectarine · 24/11/2015 20:21

Blair you've reminded me I have a clover canyon crop top I've never worn - might dig it out for night out next weekend.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 24/11/2015 21:01

Oh which one Amber, do you have a pin or link? Mine was a tk maxx find!

Drywhitethanks · 24/11/2015 22:02

Am loving Sofia's style.....4th outfit, grey boxy sweater over white shirt with black cigarette trousers will be tomorrow's work outfit. Loving her black cuff.....I can do that too (ish) with my Longchamps leather bracelet. Love blogs for inspiration.

Btw.....Liberty I think of you every time I wear my tan R and B Chelsea boots. Love them so much. Smile

libertydoddle · 24/11/2015 22:18

Oh I wore mine too today dry. One of my best buys ever. Love that you love yours too Smile

Great skirt Blair. BTW great gold ruched Halston Heritage skirt on the outnet - immediately thought of you when I saw it.

Grin at the phone getting you back for negative thoughts Marsha. There is a thread about battles with inanimate objects ATM. V funny.

AmberNectarine · 24/11/2015 22:41

It's this one blair. I have way too much unworn stuff - must make the effort to wear some of it!

MarshaBrady · 25/11/2015 00:06

Blair yes I'm in Copenhagen. Had an incredible dinner involving beetroot meringue and hay ash in a Heston Blumenthal lots of small courses type thing that is completely identifiable. Left people drinking downstairs I'm going to bed. It's one hour later here so pretty late.
