I have that dress Karcheer, in yellow. Lovely dress, comes up big IMO - I got an 8 but should have got a 6 really.

Oh really! How is the sizing? I wondered if the arms would be very tight, not that mine are massive but you know...

Great dress karcheer! I've tried it on several times but it never looks amazing on me, I think it's too much lace for my personal style but I love it on others.

I just ordered some heeled Chelsea boots from M&S. They're not real suede but they were reduced to £25 so worth a try. (Can't link somehow)

I have been looking for black ankle boots with a sensible heel to run after the DC for ages but none that I've tried were perfect so I hope these will be ok.

marsha Copenhagen sounds great, I've always wanted to visit. Maybe once the DC are a bit older.

And yes dry, Sofia Coppola is one of my style icons. Classic with a twist, just like I want to dress but fail at most days.

I'm really confused by the sizing on the site, do you think they are uk or us sizes? I'd imagine they are us but if so, it's too big for me, but I did put my size (uk8) in the search engine, so thinking it must be uk sizing :/

I know a few of you have Pettys, I'm after a flatter pair of boots for walking around ny in, do you think they'd be a good idea or do I need something warmer?

Petty boots are great for walking on all day IMO but a few others on here find them a bit the tight. If I was going to NYC I would bring mine and wear with thermal socks.

Dry I love Sofia Coppola's style, she is my ultimate style icon and funnily enough even before I got to Linus's post I knew Linus would be a fan too

Karcheer I love the Zarita dress, don't own one - yet, a 4 (UK 8) fitted perfectly and I'm always a size 8. From what I remember I think you are a similar height but quite a bit lighter than me, so probably you should try the size 2 (UK 6)

Re: Pettys I have wide feet and they are still slightly tight despite owning them for around 2 years, I have them in tan suede so perhaps they stretch less than the leather ones. Unlike Lib I have to wear mine with thin footsie tights things or very thin socks.

I love Sofia's style too. I have some of her looks pinned on my boards.

I am knackered. As ive been walking to work and to meetings I reckon I have walked 10 miles in the past 3 days. Wore the blue toast blouse today so I'm happy that I've worn all my new stuff. I'm definitely the smartest dressed in the office and have decided on days im not seeing patients that I may wear cords and boots.

Karcheer I love love the Zarita. Would love one. It's a classic now. I also wear my Pettys loads. V comfy. And I wear thicker socks like liberty

I'm definitely doing all my Xmas shopping online I popped to our local JL to pick up a birthday pressie for a friend and had to queue to park it was hellish!

i love the zarita dress but it wuldn't work on me because of my so called 'mummy tummy' it'd emphasize it just a bit too much for me. i'm sure t will look fab fab fab on you though karcheer

i've done all my xmas shopping bar one present which i am on the hunt for now. i've also got almost everything wrapped as well and in the sacks as labelled for each child and in pretty bags for the adults. I found some lovely bags which are burgundy with a gold stag outline print on them and grey and burgundy tartan sides. found them in one of those pop up xmas shops we get around here every year

I have a purchase to confess. I got a matches preview code and ordered this for the festive season. It arrived today and I love it! Subtle, it is not, but I think it's fun!

Karcheer I find my pettys a bit tight so would not walk round NYC in them. Love the zarita and that colour would be perfect for you and it says that it's US sizes.

Ootd was H&M grey stretch skirt, grey patterened opaques, mih Breton, next otk black boots, grey cashmere scarf and mint velvet denim jacket and I loved it. Got a couple of compliments too which always helps!

Marsha know where you were! Would love to try that restaurant. Your work travels sound good, nice locations/hotels/entertaining venues and never for too long at a time.

Karcheer I have plum zarita and love it but rarely have an occasion to get that dressed up. Haven't worn since last year but may do so for a party next week now that you've reminded me!

Lib know what you mean about running round like a headless chicken at work trying to get everything done pre-hols. Sometimes feels like not worth it until you step out off the door and rejoice at the prospect of freedom and sunshine .

For anyone in London looking for reasonably-priced cashmere dh alerted me to a place in Burlington arcade with a good closing down sale. They have some nice basics for £75. Quality looks good but haven't washed yet. I got 2 polonecks, one navy, one burgundy, sized up to a 14 to get plenty of slouch as hate jumpers being too fitted.

Also ordered black Adidas stans. Need to do Christmas shopping for other people now! Need to track down some elusive Scooby Doo Lego for ds. One I envy how organised you are, packaging sounds really pretty too.

karcheer not sure if you have ordered the zarita yet but I sized down to get the arms more fitted, they were not tight at all. I'm a 10 and bought a 4. Shopbop sizes are US. That khaki colour is lovely. Soon we'll be able to have a MNV Zarita rainbow!
