Hey got it on Amazon but if you search online loads of places are selling them cheaper..

Yes thanks I really like the tube dress.. It's not came yet, might wear it on Saturday with the Sam Edelman ankle boots I bought (the pointy suede ones discussed on here) as we're going out to a lovely restaurant for dinner.. But I am losing weight on Slimming World and a half stone to go so I'll see how it fits! Grin

What celebratory treat are you thinking of?? Grin

QueenCardi · 19/11/2015 11:06

You definitely need a treat lib Wink
Thanks for the advice amber. I've got plenty I can wear but it's just first day nerves! I'm hugely stressing as ds is ill today and likely to still be ill tomorrow so dh and I will have to do some complicated half day each handing him over in the middle. Great start to working life Grin
Just dragged poor ds to m&s to get the advent calender. He was a bit Hmm that I was buying it to share with dd so somehow I ended up in game buying a skylander. I am such a mug Grin. I may have also bought the metallic brogues to try at home. Will report back later....

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 19/11/2015 12:27

Well done Lib, very satisfying.

QueenC lol at your DS. Hope you and DD like the calendar! If you keep the brogues they might be a good thing to wear on Friday?

Happy excellent haul, I love the shoes and the sequin top. I have a similar watch from Larsson & Jennings which I love (but it's all gold).

Amber I wear loads of navy too. Your outfit sounds great as usual.

Topaz it is a lovely bag. Maybe make a list of things the boots would go with or look on pinterest for dark brown boots outfits?

No picked for me pins on pinterest this morning btw... anyone else? :)

HappyGirlNow · 19/11/2015 12:38

Thanks blair watch just arrived and its gorgeous! Grin I did swither re all gold but I always wear gold and I thought the mixed silver / gold was a bit different... Like how strap is instantly adjustable so can tighten for work and wear loose, bracelet style for out of work...

FedupNagging · 19/11/2015 12:47

Queen dc's always have a knack of being ill at the most awkward moment! Am Envy of you getting your paws on the advent calender. Am hoping to find one on Monday when I am near a big store.

Well done on your work triumph Lib.

I love the tube dress Happy it would look terrible on me really must stop eating cake but the colour is oh so gorgeous.

Topaz I remember liking that bag when you originally linked it. What is it about your wardrobe that's not right? I think we find a couple of styles and colours that we like/look good in then end up buying more of the same. I'm definitely guilty of this.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 19/11/2015 12:52

QueenC I hope your DS feels better, sorry missed that he wasn't feeling well.

Also wanted to say One I am loving your pins this morning! So cute/amazing :)

Happy that's so useful! I'm not even sure how mine adjusts, I leave it up to DH as he is a watch bore lover...

I'm feeling iffy again, and trying not to panic as I have my biggest project of the year scheduled for the next 2 months (starting today) and am visiting my client for all of next week. I feel sort of dizzy and "out of it", again not hungry, and have weird aches. Wish I could get my blood tests results sooner than Tuesday :( but hopefully I'm just being paranoid.

HappyGirlNow · 19/11/2015 13:01

Thanks fedup yes I may look like an overstuffed sausage until I lose that last half stone Grin

VivaVegas · 19/11/2015 15:39

Good Zara shopping Happy. Queen always impeccable timing with kids being ill. Are you back after a period of time not working or changing fields? Good luck either way, will be fine.
Boden black top has arrived, looks really good hung up, need to try it later to see if it looks as good on me!
Wearing all black to a couple of Christmas events so looking for a sparkly small bag if anyone has seen one, maybe silver sequins.
My other dilemma is my Boden silver sequin Mary Janes, love them but no idea what to wear them with or where I'd wear them. Amber did you keep them? Am thinking they might be good for Christmas Day to add a bit of sparkle??

AmberNectarine · 19/11/2015 15:55

Viva I did, have worn a couple of times with black opaques and bodycon dress or black leather mini for nights out.

LinusLovesBretons · 19/11/2015 15:55

Lovely tube dress happy, I love that style but I can't pull of the exposed shoulders and roll neck combo for some reason.

queenc fingers crossed for tomorrow! DS missed a day's school as well this week as he was poorly but I hope yours is better by tomorrow.

Well done lib, go on treat yourself.

blair could you be anaemic? Or have an iron defficiency like me? I guess the blood tests will show but if it is it's fairly easy to treat.

I have started taking Floradix as the iron supplements my gp prescribed were just making me constipated so I stopped taking them after a couple of months.

As I started to feel tired and dizzy again I hope the Floradix will help. At least it doesn't constipate me. TMI? Wink

After queenc told me the teal colour of my cashmere scarf looked good on me and that I should find a top in the same colour I have been looking for one and it's been hard finding something in that same colour.

I love this one but I refuse to pay that price when it's so much cheaper in the US.

Unfortunately I can't find it on any US sites that deliver internationally so I might have to wait until it goes on sale here.

QueenCardi · 19/11/2015 17:28

That's gorgeous linus
viva apart from a 3 month period to pay back mat pay I havent worked for 4 and a half years. I love my sequin shoes with opaques and a black dress too. If you search for ysl sequin shoes or look at my nights out pin board there's pictures of shoes with tights.
blair hope you feel better soon.

Ds has tonsillitis. Its usually the case with him so ive been checking his tonsils since yesterday evening when he had a temperature. Noticed white spots at midday, got a Dr appt for 3 and demanded antibiotics. Dr wasn't keen to prescribe as they're not that bad but i know from experience that he'll get much worse quickly.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 19/11/2015 17:44

thank you blair Smile

my god, i have just been separating and bagging all the presents into sacks for each person and the entire of one side of my bedroom is covered in christmas sacks! giving at this time of year is what it's all about for me though, not about me getting anything. i love thinking about people opening their gifts and i always keep my fingers crossed i've chosen right. i do think i've outdone myself this year though, even if i say it myself Grin

libertydoddle · 19/11/2015 18:29

Sounds great one. I love buying gifts too.

Poot you Blair. Sounds horrible. Could be post viral fatigue. Or just fatigue. You have had a full on year.

So I bought my treat. Grin A pair of very bright orange suede florets I spied at half price in LKB a few days ago. Very pleased. Also bought a gold sparkly bag in Accessorise. viva they have gorgeous silver ones too.

QueenC I hope DS is OK. It is so typical though that it happens for your first day back.

libertydoddle · 19/11/2015 18:30

Poor not poot!!!

QueenCardi · 19/11/2015 19:21

Cool lib. How will you wear them.

I'm having shoe 'mare again. Seriously, no one else seems to struggle with shoes Confused. Love the brogues but only 95% sure and that tiny 5% is nagging at me. My ankle boots dont look great either. And ballet flats are too cold.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 19/11/2015 19:56

QueenC I know we always say you have to be 100%, but I do think sometimes 95% is good enough. I've bought things before without really thinking about it and ended up wearing them non stop, so 95% sure at the start could be a winner?!
Poor DS, hope he gets over it soon!

Linus thanks and I hope you're feeling ok now. I almost hope something does come up on the tests that's easily treatable, because I will worry if there's nothing. I felt better this afternoon though, after forcing myself to eat though I wasn't feeling like it. Beautiful top by the way!

Lib The florets sound lush, I think I know the ones, are they suede? I have never tried them... are the heels particularly narrow or wide? My heels are narrow and I walk out of most courts.

LinusLovesBretons · 19/11/2015 20:10

We need a picture of the heels lib!

queenc I love those brogues so much I wanted to order them myself so I checked on Zalando and they are so much more expensive than in the UK!! About £90! Shock

I can really see them dessed down with rolled up boyfriend jeans and a breton and jacket.

shopafrolic · 19/11/2015 20:40

I love my Florets Lib such a fab shoe.
QueenC brogues are the comfiest show ever but I've never managed to make them work for me.
Remind me .... Who on here is Romantic Classic? I am doing a wardrobe edit for a friend tomorrow! Eek!

libertydoddle · 19/11/2015 20:41

Am in PJ's Linus so no selfies even foot selfies tonight Smile

Blair yes they are suede. I have a wide foot and they feel quite fitted on me so hard to judge how they would be on you.

QueenC they are a completely frivolous purchase and will probably get worn twice a year Blush. Hence being a treat! I plan to wear them this weekend for a meal out with a friend. Will wear the M&S leather skirt with a silk tank top tuck in, cropped olive green cardigan and add the bright heels and the sparkly clutch to glam it all up.

libertydoddle · 19/11/2015 20:46

Blair and I are romantic classic shop. Wardrobe edit sounds fun.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 19/11/2015 20:47

shop it's me and Lib! Is your friend RC then? I think the Zara monk shoes that Happy linked would look great on you, brogue-wise.

Thanks Lib, the fronts of my feet are quite wide so sounds like I need to try some myself. Probably in spring as I'm wearing shoe boots all the time atm. That outfit sounds lovely!

QueenCardi · 19/11/2015 20:56

That sounds fun shop. I'm suprised brogues don't work for you but i guess they're not dramatic enough?

Poorly boy in my bed now so no chance of trying more outfits on.

Drywhitethanks · 19/11/2015 21:02

Orange Florettes sound lovely Liberty
QueenC I agree with Amber and everyone else on here that if my outfit downt feel right it bothers me all day which is why I pllan in advance.

I'm sure I saw some snow today hopeful

V long day at work, 2 glasses of Wine and a bubble bath later and I'm feeling mellow.

Drywhitethanks · 19/11/2015 21:04

"Downt" ? Grin I've gone all West Country

justasecond · 19/11/2015 21:38

Hi everyone, ill dcs have been keeping me busy. They have all had coughs and colds and ds has chicken pox. Poor thing is miserable and grumpy. On the plus side being off work has given me loads of time to declutter and get rid of books and toys while they are not looking Grin
speaking of brogues I ordered these yesterday when they were 75% off I have a pair of brogues from Dune that I love but I think these will prob be too severe for me with the monkstrap.

I finally tried on the Russell and Bromley boots, they were so lovely but too big on my ankles and didn't look right with the skinnies I was wearing. I went all geared up to buy them so was disappointed. Anyone have any suggestions for a black ankle boot with a bit of a heel that looks good with skinnies? Max budget £250

Hope you get some answers soon Blair try not to worry as Linus says is could be your iron levels. I feel awful and look grey when I am anaemic.
Good luck tomorrow Queenc I am sure you will look lovely whatever you choose. Where did you get your brogues?
Your treat shoes sound gorgeous Lib its sometimes nice to buy something frivolous!
Love that colour Linus dark teal is one of my favourite colours but hard to find.
well done on getting your xmas shopping done one we don't celebrate but I always get presents for neighbours and friends children so need to get started.
