Morning!

Great outfit shop, glad you had a good night, sounds lovely.

I miss running too! Still very much a beginner, but I haven't been in about 5 weeks. I'm not sure what to do now either as I'm about to get really busy at work and thinking about just looking after myself until after Christmas, but then I'll be even further behind.

QueenC I have the buckled version of the Clarks brogues, they are super comfy and not too manly! I should wear them more.

Great IM buys Mara, sounds like a fab sale.

OOTD is bright blue short sleeve Jaeger jumper, navy lace pencil skirt, opaques and Stories chelsea boots, which I wore for driving and haven't bothered to replace as they are so comfy!

FedupNagging · 18/11/2015 10:54

Those boots are fabulous - somebody buy them!

Queen how lovely is your dd?!

Lib am off to check out the m&s advent calender. Am very envious of your hols - where are you going?

Blair pleased you are feeling much better; One hope you're ok too.

Mara I noticed you'd gone a bit quiet - your course is certainly keeping you busy. Nice IM purchases although not sure about the footwear on the model.

Shop last nights outfit sounded great especially the burgundy lipstick.

In fashion news, I am keeping the HL skinnies and they are being taken up as we speak. This blouse has arrived in the smaller size and is a good fit - it will look great with the HL skinnies and heels. I am prepared to overlook the 100% poly as it feels nice and silky!

The frozen petty's are now fully defrosted and dried with the hairdryer and after all that effort, have stretched by a miniscule amount Hmm.

LinusLovesBretons · 18/11/2015 11:06

Now this is a Christmas jumper I like.

fedup I know some cobblers stretch long boots, maybe they can do the same for ankle boots?

NotdeadyetBOING · 18/11/2015 13:27

Who can help me find a pair of black leather (not suede) knee high boots? Even a teensy bit OTK, maybe, but reluctant to move towards mega seductress territory IYKWIM. Not really after the riding boot look - equally don't want to totter about in heels. Small wedge, maybe? Or just flattish. Want to wear with skirts during day and like to stride about. Have a rather gorgeous 60s style pair, but they are too high so I never bloody wear them.

AmberNectarine · 18/11/2015 14:28

Welcome notdead - I have these from last year which I have found v useful - just over the knee on me (a shade under 5'5)

Stokey · 18/11/2015 14:52

Hello notdead, can't help on the boots front I'm afraid but stick around.

I like that Asos jumper Linus. I keep seeing this Boden stag one too but I do think £75 is a bit much for novelty wear.

I've just been into town to the hairdresser, had half an hour to spare so spent it in your spiritual home Marsha, Liberty's. They had some Jimmies on sale at £170 if anyone is looking. I really liked this Each x Other sweatshirt. The quote seems particularly pertinent after last weekend: "everything in the city is perfect, the voices in the streets are sacred, music and the streets belong to no one."

That jumper is lovely Stokey. And also is there a sale on in Liberty? (!)

libertydoddle · 18/11/2015 16:03

Going to Thailand Fedup. DH and I were just saying last night we have both rarely been so excited about a holiday. Has been 5 years since we ventured further than a 4 hour flight. We used to have a long haul holiday at least once a year in the pre DD days.

Got a £10 voucher from Boden today. Checked the clearance section and have just bought a swimsuit and a www.pinterest.com/pin/321937073342635734/dress to top up the holiday wardrobe. Not autumn colours but I think they'll look ok with orange accessories and a tan Wink

libertydoddle · 18/11/2015 16:04

Great quote stokey.

libertydoddle · 18/11/2015 16:06

link

libertydoddle · 18/11/2015 16:06

Oh I will get it right!!!! Navy dress

NotdeadyetBOING · 18/11/2015 17:38

Many thanks for that link AmberN. Like the look of them. May well have a flutter…… Grin

FedupNagging · 18/11/2015 20:23

Lib love both your holiday purchases - I would totally wear the dress. Thailand sounds just the ticket for some winter sun.

Hi to notdead, I was about to point you in the direction of Dune but see Amber beat me to it. Don't forget to link what you buy.

Blair I have been deleting the 'picked for you' pins but they keep popping up again. I'm also getting pins from people I don't follow -there are so many it's very annoying so if you find a way to stop them, please share!

Linus you've just reminded me there's an old style cobbler in a local town so I think I'll pop in and see if they can do anything.

Stokey · 18/11/2015 20:33

A small sale Marsha but worth a look if you're in the area. Some denim - mainly Paige & Victoria Beckham - but some other bits & bobs on the first floor too.

OP posts:
QueenCardi · 18/11/2015 21:33

I'm so glad it's not just me with the pin rage. I thought I'd turned off the picked for you but they still keep popping up. I pinned a pair of Adidas trainers yesterday and today have about 10 picked for you. Grr.

Sooo jealous lib Envy. You'll have such a fab time. Is dd excited? I tried to order the m&s beauty calender today as I thought it would be nice for me and dd to share but it's sold out online. Hoping I may find it in store.

Welcome notdead

libertydoddle · 18/11/2015 21:46

DD is very excited QueenC. Mostly because the hotel has a big pool with a twisty waterslide suspect I may have to slide down this approximately 58 times per day

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 18/11/2015 21:47

Argh yes QueenC and Fedup it's really putting me off pinterest at the moment, especially when you hide a pin on your phone and it says "got it, no more pins based on your recent activity" or something but there are always more! I hadn't had any for ages before this.

Lib no wonder you're all so excited, it sounds fab! Love the bright colours of the swimsuit. Look forward to living vicariously through you while it gets freezing here.

Drywhitethanks · 18/11/2015 21:48

Amber like you I've missed my usual classes recently, back to it this weekend, sometimes it's hard to fit it all in.

waiting for the OTK boot links

QueenCardi · 18/11/2015 21:52

Ha ha lib. Don't bother wearing a nice costume then as it'll just end up with a bobbled bum. I ruined mine going down the slides at Bluestone.

I'm going to a meeting at work on Friday ( officially start on Monday) and wondering what to wear. Dh has asked me why I get so stressed about it and was genuinely suprised when I said that how I feel I look really affects my confidence.

Topazandpearl · 18/11/2015 22:16

Am also being put off pin at the moment. They need to get it sorted!

Have a lovely holiday Lib, it sounds like your swimsuit will get lots of cpw. Like your dress as well.

Welcome notdead.

I am really loving this bag, which I got for my recent birthday. It is sturdy enough for work and is a really lovely leather. I am considering similar colour boots for Christmas, but I am not sure if they would go with enough of my wardrobe. They would go with jeans at the weekends but my winter work wardrobe is built around black shoes/boots. I am a bit bored with my wardrobe at the moment, though. Maybe it is time to branch out?

libertydoddle · 18/11/2015 22:48

That bag is gorgeous topaz. My favourite thing about being diagnosed as autumn is brown leather accessories! I think brown boots look good with black skinny jeans but not so sure with black work trousers. I like knee length brown boots with black dresses and skirts.

libertydoddle · 18/11/2015 22:50

QueenC what are your options for Friday? A lot places do dress down Friday too so worth bearing in mind. That said, better over than under dressed at work IMO.

AmberNectarine · 19/11/2015 08:40

QueenC goodness yes, I'm sure we've all had a shit day because we weren't wearing the 'right' outfit. For me this can be down to the wrong pair of tights! I think go with your comfort zone, so pretty blouse, cardigan, skinny black trousers and pumps. Smart enough but not so smart you'll feel overdone if you find everyone else is more casual - scope out the sartorial landscape first and then tailor your outfits accordingly. I probably go smarter than about 80% of my colleagues, but that's a conscious choice, because that's my work comfort zone.

Ootd today is navy leopard LKB wrap dress, navy R&B courts, navy Gucci disco, grey Gucci monogram scarf and black CK coat. I feel like I wear a lot of navy to work!

HappyGirlNow · 19/11/2015 10:24

Hi all

Pinterest is also playing up for me!

And copying and pasting on these sites on iPad gets no better! Rah.

lib am soooo jealous of your hols! What a great time to get away to the sunshine too!

Leather of that bag looks fab topaz

I've had a haul on Zara sequinned top tube dress asymmetric top jacket with shoulder pads fur stole www.zara.com/uk/en/woman/skirts/mini-skirt-c269188p2894518.html flats with buckle

Just bought this as well to replace my Armani which I am a bit fed up of www.houseoffraser.co.uk/Skagen+SKW2076+Classic+Silver+and+Gold+Ladies+Mesh+Watch/188591133,default,pd.html
But got it for £50 cheaper from another retailer!

Top of my Christmas list is this Gucci bag

Ooh not long till Christmas now Grin

libertydoddle · 19/11/2015 10:46

Great Zara haul Happy. I particularly like the tube dress. I bought a very similar Skagen watch recently in rose gold and I love it. Where did you find it cheaper?

OOTD sounds great Amber and I second your advice to QueenC.

I am punching the air due to a minor work triumph today - persuaded a very difficult person to change a decision. I may have to buy a little celebratory treat Smile
