Just turned on the TVs news - have you heard from the family, Hatty? It looks awful - will be thinking about you.

Stropps, that's rubbish about DD.

Good luck with your hair, MI.

I will send Lalsy the new recipe.

NUFC69 · 13/11/2015 22:15

The number of dead keeps on going up, as do the number of hostages. My thoughts are with the French people, it's just so awful.

magimedi · 13/11/2015 22:26

Been lurking with you all for ages, but have to post - my heart goes out to Paris & hope all is OK with Hatty - we'll be waiting to hear from you.

CointreauVersial · 13/11/2015 22:49

OMG, Paris! Hatty - what's happening?

GiddyGiddyGoat · 13/11/2015 23:02

Hatty's in the Uk atm. Hope you have been able to get in touch with your family back home Hatty and that they're all ok.

bigTillyMint · 14/11/2015 07:33

Hatty, hoping yours are all safe. And friends. One of my FB friends is there and they are apparently safe in a hotel ATM. Very scary.

I am hoping that the family and your friends are all safe, Hatty, and the fact that you haven't posted is because of poor wifi at your parents' home? We're all thinking of you.

All ok thanks. Just a bit difficult to be here when it's all happening at home. Thank you all for your kind thoughts and concern. Apparently everybody has to stay home today.

bigTillyMint · 14/11/2015 11:08

Glad to hear they are OK. Yes, the news is saying Paris is on shut-downSad

MontserratCaballe · 14/11/2015 11:18

Sorry I haven't been on for ages, but just nipped on to check Hatty and family were safe. So glad to see that you are but thinking of your friends and all affected by these terrible events.

Back later I hope. Love to all.

bigTillyMint · 14/11/2015 11:26

Hi Monty!

Wilbur, just wondering how you and your renovations are going? Hope you're not under a pile of rubbleWink

NUFC69 · 14/11/2015 11:30

What a relief to hear from you, Hatty. I have hardly dared to leave the iPad over the last couple of hours. I can appreciate how difficult it must be for you being separated from your family under the circumstances.

I can now happily go out for lunch with DH. Is it ridiculous that I have been so concerned about someone I only know on line?

magimedi · 14/11/2015 11:41

Also pleased to hear Hatty (who I only know on line) is OK. Had a nasty hour or so trying to get hold of nephew who lives in Paris but have now spoken to him & all is well with him & his sons.

Just no words for what has happened.............

addle · 14/11/2015 11:46

Hatty, so pleased to hear from you. How awful to be away from family just now. Thinking of you xxx

You are all so kind - waiting for DD1 to arrive from Cambridge -she's pretty shaken up as has lots of friends in central Paris - all ok though.

Stropperella · 14/11/2015 12:55

Glad to hear your family is ok, Hatty, but it must be very odd to be here and having to listen to all the developments back at home.

The events of last night really are so sickening. And so, so sad.

I am a bit bleary-eyed, as dd rolled in at 4am this morning, having said she would be back by 12.30. I seriously wish I could tell my subconscious not to bother waking me up every couple of hours during the night when she is out. It doesn't help and it doesn't bring her home any quicker.

bigTillyMint · 14/11/2015 13:02

Glad to hear her friends are OK too. DD says the gym girls they did an exchange with a few years ago are all all right tooSmile

Stropps, I feel your pain, I was awake 2 - 4 due to DD!

Stropperella · 14/11/2015 13:19

Just sent you a PM, BTM! :)

There are a bunch of dd's friends in Paris at the moment on an art trip. I gather they are just confined to their hotel today and will be coming home tomorrow.

I am booking my train tix to come to Herbs' party. And outfit-wise, I have purchased a couple of dreadful items from Crem's fiver website and these arrived this morning. I was just aiming for a naff 'mutton dressed as lamb' look, however the look I have actually achieved appears to be more 'superannunated sex-worker'. Which is unfortunate. I am not sure it entirely meets the 'Captain's Table' brief. More 'Under the Captain's Table'..
