Herbs - agree with the others, don't do it!

I am still feeling a bit ropey, as is DH. Very glad that DD1 didn't (touch wood) catch the cold before she went on holiday.

hattymattie · 18/10/2015 19:23

Good luck tomorrow Mrs S. Get a hot bath and early night.

GiddyGiddyGoat · 18/10/2015 19:29

yes, Good Luck Mrs S!! Fingers crossed there's no BB or AB in your new post!

Herbs, as your PMT migraine is predictable, could you head it off by taking propranolol for 72hrs before you expect it? I've started taking it after a sleepless night, just for 72hrs and it's 100% successful so far. Not prescribing for you, obv, but might be worth running it past your GP?

I'm oddly cheered by the number of crepeys who sympathise with homicidal reaction to nosebleed Grin

All you writers, do you have short stories in your drawers? Have a look at the Liars' League website.

First lot of cousins have been fed up with cake and cloutie dumpling & DM loved seeing them all Grin

Ooh, top tip Auriga. The day Aunt Flo chooses to turn up in her little red car isn't always precisely predictable, but I know within a day or two I guess. I've got so many things to run past the GP - all I need now is to be able to get an appointment! The average wait round these parts is three weeks, by which stage any ailment will either have gone away or turned into a medical emergency.

Rosebag · 18/10/2015 20:18

I am in satans cave. I am deaf and blind and using my mobile to see the way. Nevertheless I have done the Cha Cha Slide and Uptown Funk.

bigTillyMint · 18/10/2015 20:19

Yes Good Luck MrsS!

Glad the first round went well Auriga.

Blackduck · 18/10/2015 20:20

That is early dancing, Rose.... Hope you make it out of there at some point...

I've had a lovely weekend with my Aus/US friend. So good when you haven't seen someone for 7 years and it just falls back into place.

DH is still away so just me and dd2 here tonight, very odd.

I would like to state publicly that when DH is not here, the house is very, very messy Blush

MrsSchadenfreude · 18/10/2015 21:45

Beachy Grin and Rose GrinGrin

My life as a style icon is over; I have just ordered a pair of Hotter shoes. Shall I order the Chums catalogue as well? I also possess two pairs of what DD2 calls my "Nan" boots from Cotton Traders. Lands End is clearly right on trend from where I am sitting (got my new mac from there...).

Lalsy · 18/10/2015 22:21

MrsS, go!
(my style icon day also bought to crashing stop as I have two pairs of Land's End shoes - they are nearly as comfortable as trainers)

And Rose Grin

And Herbs, run like the wind. Nightmare.

Auriga · 18/10/2015 22:48

Rose, Grin Grin Grin

And Grin at MrsS in her Hotter/LandsEnd/Nan boots combo - what are you wearing for your first day, you crepey style icon?!

NUFC69 · 19/10/2015 07:47

I was in the Hotter shop yesterday. Blush Good luck today, MrsS (though I am sure you won't need it). I was also in Primark yesterday and bought a navy blue jumper with zips on the hips - it looks good, but my the Zips are cold on the inside - I think a vest might be the way to go. BlushBlush BTM, I bought a turtle necked poncho type thing last winter, I love it. Rose, do you have a headache and aching joints this morning and how is DD now?

We won yesterday and are no longer at the foot of the table! Off this morning to have my hair cut and highlights done.

motherinferior · 19/10/2015 08:25

Another Monday, another Ladyjog. DP bungled the alarm so I'm 10 minutes behind schedule. Don't care. Must contemplate the day's to-do list....

MrsSchadenfreude · 19/10/2015 08:36

BTM - a black Boden dress and Hermes scarf*, tights ( M & S 30 denier, black) and some dull shoes with a low heel. Or possibly my slightly wacky Fly London wedges. It is too soon for the Nan boots Grin, I don't want them to recoil in horror on my first day.

*clutching onto last remnants of style. Or I may wear my Alexander McQueen scarf with a razor blade print, in which case I will wear the Fly London wedges.

Lands End mac over the top.

Rosebag · 19/10/2015 09:25

Good luck MrsS on your first day. Outfit sounds the business. I have not succumbed to Hotter although it chases me relentlessly around the Internet. I have three (3, iii) Landsend coats and have had shoes and sandals from there. Blush and bought my blissfully comfortable Gabor knee boots last year and I love them. So I am well established on the downward slide to old bagdom. Grin

Funnily enough, Nu I am pain free this morning ...this will probably have something to do with these excellent although respectably heeled shoes from Next I got a couple of years ago that have cushioning in the insoles plus the benefits of dancing as an exercise. No headache. I don't drink so I never have an hangover, really. You really don't need drink to partaaaaay..trust me. Before the end of the night I also managed the Macarena and Dont Stop Me Now plus another round of uptown funk...seems its a bit of a disco anthem at the moment. But the venue was a black hole, so it was. My consolation was that presumably everyone else was similarly blinded and deafened, so couldn't see me wobbling embarrassingly on the dance floor. Sauce for the goose... Grin DD was much happier, back with her old friends and besties.

So plenty of partying. Have my DSis 50th next weekend. It's a 70s party so I am pleased to be wearing my flared jeans with the bell sleeved red top. I am looking for a chain belt to finish the outfit, and will flick hair Farrah Fawcett style.

However down to earth for now. I am a bit bleary eyed in a local cafe supposedly prepping my class for this afternoon but actually dicking about on MN

Have meeting with DM this evening to help her fill out the DNR forms for poor DDad. I find it incredible how the human brain allows up to deal with partying at one end of the spectrum ( and genuinely enjoying it...) and facing the traumas of a dying loved one at the other. Confused

motherinferior · 19/10/2015 09:59

Rose, ain't that the truth.
