"One is never over-dressed or underdressed with a Little Black Dress."
— Karl Lagerfeld

Its that time of year again when our thoughts turn to winter woollies, Christmas jumpers and party dresses. Come and join our musings and purchasing, high end and high street, we love them all.

Oh my word, Shop! Those pink boots are divine. See now I'm thinking "ooooh maybe I need 4 new pairs of boots"!

Marsha - I just spotted the GR boots you linked too earlier. Gorgeous but megabucks for me & I think I'm leaning more towards suede.

One - I love that hat! My boys would disown me if I wore it... How cool would it look with my leopard faux fur Grin

Fedup I have grey suede flat ankle boots from Topshop which I wear loads. Mostly with denim more than black.

Almost Downton O'Clock. Hope all the party animals have recovered from last night's over-indulgence by now. We just tucked into Jamie's "Jool's Favourite Stew" with a large glass of red. Just heavenly: soothing & restorative, it is my go to dish for hangover recovery Wink

shopafrolic · 11/10/2015 21:06

Sounds lush Ujjayi
Sunday night TV is tough now. New Homeland on now too. My Sky planner is clashing all over the place.

QueenCardi · 11/10/2015 21:07

I can't stop thinkng about those boden boots!
Finally feeling normal again ujj!

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 11/10/2015 21:11

I did Shop I was very cold that day until i got lost and was wandering round in a panic! Grin

MarshaBrady · 11/10/2015 21:13

Snap Ujj had beef stew here. It's a favourite of mine too.

Was such a nice day today, love Autumn.

Drywhitethanks · 11/10/2015 21:25

New Homeland Shop? Confused

shopafrolic · 11/10/2015 21:26

9pm C4 apparently. I'm recording it on C4+1.

QueenCardi · 11/10/2015 21:27

It's all Kates fault as ive seen her wearing these boots loads. Of course I look nothing like KM though.

libertydoddle · 11/10/2015 21:37

Loving all the boot chat.

blingy so pleased you love that bracelet!

V tired. Busy weekend. Ecstatic about Ireland in the rugby. So pleased in fact that I agreed an eye watering spend on 2 sets of semi final tickets Shock

KittyHello · 11/10/2015 21:53

QueenC I love the grey SE boots you linked earlier and I too have been eyeing up those Boden boots, in grey of course. Fedup I have some grey Pistols which I wore to death last winter, I found them a lot easier to wear than black, they seemed to go with everything.

Oh and in answer to your question QueenC I think I lack the discipline to save for that scarf, have Kondo'd most of my jeans and after having stroked some Paige Jimmies in Selfridges I now want a pair. They were so soft.

Glad your rugby team are doing well Lib

Welcome back Lobster

FedupNagging · 11/10/2015 22:35

I like all the grey boot love - definitely going to order tomorrow.

Lib well played on those rugby tickets. Dh has 1/4 final tickets but obviously wont be watching England.

Queen those Tabitha Simmons boots are lush. I had a little wander round her website and came across these boots which I'm strangely drawn to.

Have just caught up on Striictly from last night - the pulp fiction dance was fantastic and their styling simple but spot on.

Ujj I needed a long lie in plus 3 hour nap today to recover from last night - am such a lightweight!

Drywhitethanks · 11/10/2015 22:42

Liberty well done on the tickets, will be amazing match. I'm total rugby widow , DH going to quarters and semis jammy sod.Dd did suggest that we add up how much he's spent on tickets for WC and then spend the same on clothes, she's cleverGrin

libertydoddle · 11/10/2015 22:51

dry your DD is a clever girl. I am reeling slightly from the cost of the tickets...

shopafrolic · 12/10/2015 07:57

You've taught her well Dry
Lib I dread to think how much your tickets cost Shock
GAP blue skinnies with pistols, grey James Perse tank and All Saints long cardigan today. What's everyone wearing?

libertydoddle · 12/10/2015 07:58

Morning all. OOTD is this dress with very comfy cashmere cardi. Black opaques and brogues. For bling some gold studs and a Z for accessorise layered necklace with a little star - can't find it on the website to link.

Busy day ahead - wishing you all a good Monday Smile

libertydoddle · 12/10/2015 08:00

Cross post Shop. Let's just say I'd get a very nice watch for the cost of the tickets...oh well, once in a lifetime and all that. Next one is in Japan so cheaper than flights to there Wink

shopafrolic · 12/10/2015 08:19

Blingy have you got your phone back yet? X

shopafrolic · 12/10/2015 08:20

LOL Lib love the sound of your outfits - they all sound so perfect for you. Have a good day. Back to the docs for me x

libertydoddle · 12/10/2015 08:46

Hope you feel better soon shop. You sound like you need some serious TLC.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 12/10/2015 09:28

Hi all, thanks for the good Amsterdam wishes :) It's cold but sunny here as we start our first full day, off to do the art museums!
We're staying in a b&b and our hosts have kindly helped us sort all the dinner reservations already but thank you Ujj and also Shop for thinking of us. We had Indonesian last night which was new for us both but really good.

So many posts yesterday! I'll catch up properly later when I can get on the iPad.

shop hope all is ok, thinking of you Flowers

LinusLovesBretons · 12/10/2015 10:20

shop thinking of you too!

Ujjayi · 12/10/2015 10:59

Fedup - yes I had a rather satisfying snooze on the sofa yesterday afternoon too whilst pretending to watch The Good Wife with DH

Blair have a wonderful time. Perfect Amsterdam weather - it's so beautiful to walk around. The Van Gogh museum is a favourite of mine. His art gives a fascinating insight into his mental health throughout his lifetime - you'll see what I mean.

Great outfit Lib Love a good cosy cardi.

OOTD: Paisley cotton twill peasant blouse from Zara (burgundy & mustard miniature paisley against a rich navy background), Relaxed skinny jeans from Next which are too big on the waist but I'm stuck with as I failed to find anything to fit yesterday.

Have youngest DS at home today - which I totally forgot about until 5 minutes ago! He's so quiet, tucked up in bed with a book and I was so engrossed in work. Bad mama.

QueenCardi · 12/10/2015 11:11

Morning. My ootd is currently muddy sports gear. We had a different teacher this morning and I just know that tomorrow is going to be painful! Not sure what I will wear when ive showered. It's cold but sunny. Only 5 degrees this morning so time to dig the gloves out.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 12/10/2015 11:49

morning all.

OOTD is burgundy skinnies, grey harry potter footlet slippers, a dove grey tee from teefury with a fear and loathing in las vegas print and mid grey ribbed boyfriend cardigan. i've been freezing all day so i've been accessorizing with a fluffy plaid blanket across my knees

shopafrolic · 12/10/2015 12:22

So I went to the Dressing Room and tried the boots. They only had them in a size too small for me but I squeezed my feet in so I could show you Voguettes (dedicated to the cause).
