"One is never over-dressed or underdressed with a Little Black Dress."
— Karl Lagerfeld

Its that time of year again when our thoughts turn to winter woollies, Christmas jumpers and party dresses. Come and join our musings and purchasing, high end and high street, we love them all.

And this arrived. It looks lovely with my leather skirt. It's quite cropped so can only be worn with high waisted stuff. All cotton. Thanks Fedup

Drywhitethanks · 30/10/2015 20:44

blimey, what on earth is poor Twiggy wearing?

herecomesthsun · 30/10/2015 20:55

I thought that was her own design?

Longislandicetee · 30/10/2015 21:18

Evening! I am absolutely knackered! Have been on my feet all day rushing around since 8.30am getting stuff ready then hosting the party. The kids all seemed to love it, including mini Lib who is soooo cute she makes your heart melt. Oh and so confident too. A real credit to Lib and Mr Lib. You will be pleased to know that as would be expected of a Voguette I served proseco for the adults. GrinLib looked lovely. First thing I noticed on Lib was her lipstick. Really suits you.

Oh and I normally don't do house tours but Lib did get a quick look at my wardrobe.Wink

Big big hugs for FedUp. Hope the painkillers work. Thanks

Drywhitethanks · 30/10/2015 21:33

I think wardrobes tours have to be statutory if any MNVoguette visits another's home books ticket to Bling's house

Topazandpearl · 30/10/2015 22:00

Love to hear of mini-voguettes meeting up, as well as voguettes! Glad the party went well Bling, feet-up time now.

Wardrobes all ordered, to be fitted week before Christmas, so no more changing of mind allowed. Wardrobe reorganisation to be completed over Christmas :)

Really liked those links Blair. I am wondering if I am a natural-classic with some dramatic. I think my wavy hair and off-duty wardrobe is quite natural, but I definitely gave classic tendencies in my work wardrobe. I'm not sure of the rest. I do like structure (dramatic?) but also Me&em ruched dresses (but don't see myself as romantic). Colour wise, I'm thinking dark autumn.

As I haven't been thinking of fashion, I didn't know what to ask for my birthday, so I have fallen back on something that has been on my wish list for a long while - a The Bridge tote (link to follow).

Friends are coming for dinner tomorrow night (definitely no Halloween outfits). Looking forward to a relaxed evening (with plenty of prosecco).

Topazandpearl · 30/10/2015 22:04

Tote

Drywhitethanks · 30/10/2015 22:26

Topaz exciting about your wardrobes. You'll have such fun organising them.

libertydoddle · 30/10/2015 22:33

Lovely bag topaz.

The miniblingys are just delightful. Great hosts. All I will say for now about blingy's wardrobe is that is almost exactly the same size as my bedroom Grin

MarshaBrady · 31/10/2015 00:34

Another wonderful night. Imelda Stanton in Gypsy is incredible. It will really stay with me. Standing ovation, so good.

Dinner with my parents. It's been really good. They've taken the DC out each day and bonded, I'm so happy about it.

Need to catch up, what a week - nice though!

libertydoddle · 31/10/2015 07:58

Marsha it's lovely to hear you have had such a good time this week and that your DPs and DC have bonded. Reading that has made me smile.

Longislandicetee · 31/10/2015 08:13

Morning! Marsha I was going to say the same as Lib. So glad that your Dps visit has gone well this time and they have bonded with your dcs. Hope Dsis is keeping well. Also lovely to hear you enjoying the job and travel. I love Prague. Dh and I had the most amazing long weekend there many years ago.

LinusLovesBretons · 31/10/2015 08:17

Morning!

Very Envy of you having had a tour of blingy's wardrobe lib!

That's a lovely bag topaz.

marsha it's great to hear your DC have bonded with their grandparents. I always feel happy and content when mine get on with theirs.

dry and everyone else talking about coloured tights have reminded me I have some cobalt blue ones and some teal ones that I bought years ago but always have been too chicken to wear.

Maybe I should try again and see if I can find an outfit that works without looking like Pippi Longstocking. Wink

shopafrolic · 31/10/2015 08:36

Best news to wake up to Marsha. Glad it went well. I saw the posters for Gypsy - she's had great reviews.
Halloween Envy of the wardrobe tour too.
Topaz exciting about wardrobes. Our kitchen was delivered yesterday and is stores ready for a few weeks time .

Longislandicetee · 31/10/2015 08:54

So despite Lib gasping at my shoe collection I decided to add these Lucy Choi glitter pumps to the collection this morningBlush. I didn't think I had that many shoes!! I also got this Marc by Marc Jacobs bracelet as I loved the blue one I got. Plus this Marc by Marc Jacobs belt.

MarshaBrady · 31/10/2015 09:04

Nice sparkles Blingy party sounds a hit.

Lib fab mini mu

Linus I need to get better at wearing any tights I e avoided them in winter for ages, always skinnies but need to change

Topaz and Shop how exciting, today is d day and have been so busy but will place my order. I have one final decision (loo - traditional with lever flush or built in wall - it's hard! - not very vogue)

Thanks everyone, I think it helped for me to step aside and let them find their own way. Dsis is really good Blingy how is your dsis?

Ps should have been Imelda Staunton below

libertydoddle · 31/10/2015 09:12

My actual words about the shoes, dresses, bags etc was that I felt I was in that scene in SATC where Carrie gets into the wardrobe room at Vogue Grin

You have some absolutely gorgeous shoes blingy and the new ones will fit in perfectly. I have never been a shoe person but after seeing yours I now want some!

AmberNectarine · 31/10/2015 10:12

I have also been doing a bit of shoe shopping. Ordered these and these (which blingy might also like). Also ordered this dress as a potential Xmas party option, though I tried this yesterday and liked it too.

Saw these scarves yesterday - so soft, good price and fantastic colour choice. Felt I had to link!

Have been up since the crack working (have worked most of HT despite supposedly being on holiday) so have now shut my laptop and don't intend to open it until tomorrow night. Planning a low key day - DS is out all day with my DF and DD has a party. Besides that I'm doing nothing much!

Longislandicetee · 31/10/2015 10:44

Lib Grin Check your emails. I mailed you some photos. By the way that lippy really did look great on you.

Good to hear your dsis doing well Marsha. Mine is too.Smile

You're right Amber, those heels are great.

Like Amber, I have been looking at Christmas party outfits (love her link it's short sleevedSad). Anyone with ideas for what they think would suit me, am all ears! All range of budgets welcome but am probably thinking more high street than high design. Thanks

AmberNectarine · 31/10/2015 11:26

Why no short sleeves? Do you feel the cold?

Longislandicetee · 31/10/2015 11:48

Amber, yes, I am an anaemic with poor blood circulation. Unless it's summer, short sleeves are not a sensible option for me. I am not willing to suffer to look good.Grin

QueenCardi · 31/10/2015 12:33

Ugh, I feel rough. Too much wine last night. Hoping hair of the dog this afternoon will cure me.

Love that outnet dress amber. Also the scarves. I contemplated the blue one but wasn't sure it was vivid enough. Did you see it?

bling can't believe you've got another pair of glittery heels! Love that you and lib met up.

shop did matches ever get back to you?

topaz exciting times with the wardrobes.

QueenCardi · 31/10/2015 12:37

This is the dress that I'm keeping.

QueenCardi · 31/10/2015 12:38

Nearly kept this one but decided it accentuated my bum too much.

QueenCardi · 31/10/2015 12:41

This is my new jumper. Utterly ridiculous price and I can't believe I actually paid it but it was love. I wanted to stroke myself all night whilst wearing it last night Grin
