"One is never over-dressed or underdressed with a Little Black Dress."
— Karl Lagerfeld

Its that time of year again when our thoughts turn to winter woollies, Christmas jumpers and party dresses. Come and join our musings and purchasing, high end and high street, we love them all.

Eh Scotland were still in it last time I looked liberty ? Smile

libertydoddle · 18/10/2015 16:12

Sorry happy. Come on the Scots! she says through her tears

HappyGirlNow · 18/10/2015 16:14

Thanks Grin - I concede a win for us is, ahem, unlikely..

Longislandicetee · 18/10/2015 16:18

Sorry Lib.Thanks I am still giving Dh a wide berth. He's now watching the Scots

libertydoddle · 18/10/2015 17:50

Ah happy that is a heart breaking result for Scotland Sad Sad

Am a bit drunk now.... Need to take rugby a but less seriously...

shopafrolic · 18/10/2015 18:04

Hugs for Lib :(
Happy to report that the Sam Edelman Karen boots are back up on Shopbop in the black so I picked them up for £94 after all. V pleased......
Lovely day today. Had lunch with friends and their children and then headed to the park to play football. Back to theirs for chocolate cake - happy kids = happy parents.
I wore my Equipment silk panelled sweater with jeans and pistols and my check coat - loving a bit of double check at the moment.

HappyGirlNow · 18/10/2015 18:39

Aw no... Thanks lib what a game, proud of our boys regardless..

Nice one shop - I'm still waiting on my boots arriving..

Drywhitethanks · 18/10/2015 19:48

Shop fashion fate Smile

Liberty gutted for you. Love the Irish crowd, they are hilarious, was backing Ireland and the poor Scots Sad but, just as I was astutely commenting to DS who appreciates all my rugby words of wisdom that the Scots should really wear a tartan kit, I noticed a very cool panel of tartan down the side of their tops . I really thought the rain was a positive omen see wisdom I say but sadly not to be.

libertydoddle · 18/10/2015 20:28

Thanks dry. What reminded you of your fashion mantra? I agree Scot kit is nice.

shopafrolic · 18/10/2015 20:36

Cheers to fashion fate Dry - am hoping you don't mean investing in less better stuff. I'm guessing you mean buying less, but buying quality? Grin

Longislandicetee · 18/10/2015 21:01

Evening! Thank you to Lib, Shop and Dry for helping me decide which R&B boots to keep! and killing the dream that I could ever be a size 4Grin

Big spend of the day has been a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. I bet everyone I find my old phone the minute the new phone turns up.Hmm

Drywhitethanks · 18/10/2015 21:04

Good god Shop my grammar is terrible at times, "less better" eeeeewwwwwww. I meant "fewer quality items" of course, thanks for clearing that up Smile.

liberty I realized you may have noticed ages ago, being Yoda and all Wink that I get an idea into my head about the latest item I "need". I am totally impatient and very impulsive. So, rather than wait until the perfect item turns up they always do I compromise and order something "now" that I really don't love then I don't wear it, might aswell put a load of £20 notes in the bin Sad. It dawned on me, as I was about to order 2 not perfect burgundy boxy sweater yesterday, that if I waited and just bought the Me and Em one next month then actually I'd be saving a lot of money IYKWIM warped self enabling

shopafrolic · 18/10/2015 21:14

Whoop! Me&em jumper it is then Dry

QueenCardi · 18/10/2015 21:24

sensible thinking dry
Great news on the boots shop. It'll be a dilemma which ones you wear first.
No idea what's happening in the rugby as dh has lost interest now England is out but Wine for those that need it

Drywhitethanks · 18/10/2015 21:45

this is divine

Drywhitethanks · 18/10/2015 21:48

this is fab

libertydoddle · 18/10/2015 21:50

Good call dry.

Shop meant to say earlier really pleased you got the black SE boots too. I think you will wear them a lot.

Blingy new phone sounds great and YY for sure the other one will turn up now. Boots are fab. Bet DH loves them Wink

I have decided my next purchases will be 'going out' clothes. I have none! Mostly when I do go out it's straight from work so just wear work clothes but I will have a couple of nights out over next few months so I need something. Thing is, I have no idea what my 'going out' look should be Confused. I'm thinking maybe keep it simple like jeans and cream silk top but with some great shoes, statement jacket and a sparkly clutch???? Any thoughts? Nights out will be meal / bar with friends / work colleagues here and in Ireland, won't be mega dressy at all but would like to feel a bit glam.

Drywhitethanks · 18/10/2015 21:50

And I love this even though I don't often do print.

Just looking though Smile

AmberNectarine · 18/10/2015 21:52

I'm quite proud that I've managed to make it through nearly the entire RWC without ever once giving a toss. As an English person I think this is probably the best approach to any major sporting event.

Visited family today. Wore a salt and pepper long line v neck sweater from TS, black leather Helmut Lang leather leggings, purple suede Choo bikers and rockstud bracelet. Enjoyed that outfit. Have spent the whole evening working. Boo.

Drywhitethanks · 18/10/2015 21:53

Liberty tops, tops and more tops ...... Can't have enough going out tops.

shopafrolic · 18/10/2015 22:03

I don't own a single going out top Hmm

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 18/10/2015 22:11

i don't really own any casual night out clothes. I've got either every day clothes or way more dressy than usual galm night out dresses which i never get to wear as tbqh, i don't go anywhere to wear them. Everything i own is recycled for both summer/winter, day/night. It's generally just peripheries like tights, shoes, jewellery and bags that change between them

libertydoddle · 18/10/2015 22:12

I love that orange print dress Dry. I pinned the top in that design ages ago.

Back in the day I used to buy a new going out top at least twice a month Grin.

Great outfit Amber. Yes sport can be heartbreaking but it's also a lot of fun. I'm almost over the trauma of today and I will enjoy the rest of the games. It's almost easier when your own team is out, less tension and you can just appreciate the skill level and the rugby bodies

Drywhitethanks · 18/10/2015 22:15

What do you wear Shop? My staple going out outfit is dress or black slim leg with top or my leather skirt. Could do with a sparkly bag but just can't decide what colour sparkle because as you know I'm OCD about matching

Liberty PM!

MarshaBrady · 18/10/2015 22:16

Lib my wardrobe is woefully bereft of going out tops. I just wear work stuff, which is usually casual or home stuff which is the same.

I'm not sure what I'd buy either if I had to.
