I have a sample of the banana mask - am a tad hesitant to try it after dp licked my face one night after I put on my wine sleeping pack . 35 years old & I have to explain that it may smell nice but won't taste nice Confused Grin

I think someone else had it a thread or two back & said it smelled like those foamy banana sweets.

Did you get any masks?

lucysmam · 15/09/2015 21:12

if anyone has some spare time & wants some reading that's a whole post of current beauty/korea/AB related news links from reddit.

muddlingalongquitenicely · 15/09/2015 21:35

No masks with the order but i know DH has some for me. He has had to buy a small case to come home with....Blush

muddlingalongquitenicely · 15/09/2015 21:35

Will have a read of that thread in bed early night for me after a stressful day at work

lucysmam · 15/09/2015 21:52

Grin oops.

There's all sorts of links in that link - I thought it'd make interesting reading in the morning after taking the girls to school. Always have a cup of tea and read of something before I crack on with things.

wickedfairy · 16/09/2015 11:02

I'm still waiting on my new orders arriving - hopefully soon as I can't get any more of the Scinic Propolis out of the bottle, the dropper just isn't quite long enough to reach the last drops. It doesn't pour out easily, but will try again tonight......

derektheladyhamster · 16/09/2015 15:30

my COSRX Natural BHA Skin Returning A-Sol has arrived! I am very excited. But do I have to wait 20-30 mins after applying, like the other BHAs, before slapping on the rest of my serums/snail goo?

lucysmam · 16/09/2015 15:49

Nope, you can carry straight on with the rest of the routine with that one.

lucysmam · 16/09/2015 15:51

wicked, the pump tube isn't quite long enough in my Secret Key essence to reach the bottom of the bottle. Very frustrating not being able to get that last bit of product out!

derektheladyhamster · 16/09/2015 16:05

yay. thanks Lucysmam fountain of knowledge

lucysmam · 16/09/2015 17:09

I can't quite remember why derek, just that you don't have to wait. Possibly the bha concentration isn't enough to exfoliate - along the same lines as the Benton Aloe Propolis bha.

lucysmam · 16/09/2015 17:21

Aha! Found it - the ph is too high and bha too low to properly exfoliate. I've had samples enough for a few days in the past & really liked the a-sol! 'Tis on the list although not sure whether to buy it now - none of my recurring hormonal cysts popped up this month.

muddlingalongquitenicely · 16/09/2015 21:53

Banana sleeping mask smells like the sweets! And makes my skin really soft in the morning may purchase once i use up the 2 sleeping masksbi have ordered.
I used the cushion today so easy to use and lasted all day without forming dry patches like some foundations/bb creams do on me. Also used a little of the pink blush and no sebum powder and have been very impressed with those 3 items so far.

lucysmam · 16/09/2015 21:57

I may have to break out the banana mask sample! Hopefully dp learned his lesson the other week Grin.

Back to normal routine with aha tonight - I felt odd missing last night Confused. Can't be a bad thing though I suppose.

muddlingalongquitenicely · 16/09/2015 22:40

The smell doesnt seem to linger for long unless you just get used to it.

wickedfairy · 17/09/2015 14:51

Well I received two packages last night - haven't had time to try yet! My sum37 rose cleansing stick: smells very strongly of rose, stronger than I thought it would smell. Will have a try and feedback.

Also my Missha FTE - do I use this before or after my Hada Labo?? Currently I do actives, Hada Labo, then essences/creams, etc. not sure where in routine to add the FTE? Thanks!!

wickedfairy · 17/09/2015 14:53

Still awaiting my cosrx whitehead stuff (love the blackhead, so can't wait to try!) and some retinA (0.025).

GrinAndTonic · 17/09/2015 22:19

No new parcels here. The weak Aussie dollar is severely impacting on my hauling.
I've also just discovered that the pipette thingy isn't long enough to reach the very bottom of my mizon snail ampoule bottle.

lucysmam · 17/09/2015 22:44

I wonder why COSRX seem to be the only brand who do droppers/pumps to actually reach the bottom of the bottle Hmm.

I think one of those every drop spatulas is in order!

wicked, which is thicker; HL or Missha FTE? I think the FTE should go first but may be redundant as it is designed to help your other products absorb better which is what the HA in the Hada Labo does. You may be better either alternating them if both work for you, or use the HL up then start on the Missha.

Gosh, I've surprised myself lately with how much I've picked up since joining this thread!

I'm wondering about layering two sleeping packs tonight - my face feels sooooo dry, it's uncomfortable! Or maybe a mask while I watch the end of Legally Blonde & then wine sleeping mask.

wickedfairy · 18/09/2015 08:29

Lucysmam - I still haven't opened the FTE yet, will check over weekend. The name makes me think I should put it on first, but the HL softens skin before other stuff, so am not sure. I suppose I should follow the thinnest liquid first rule!

I will try and Google later and see if anyone has asked this before.

wickedfairy · 18/09/2015 08:48

Another Google has revealed a bit of a mixed bag, wet product order. It appears that (edging out in front, just) FTE should be used straight after cleansing/actives and followed by Hada Labo. So, will try it that waySmile

lucysmam · 18/09/2015 09:46

Uff! Well...it's supposed to be haul ordering day but need to pay out for an unexpected bill & for a school trip for dd1 so I'm just looking for some sheet masks from a UK seller for the moment.

jackiekatu · 18/09/2015 10:18

Am I the only one who seems to like the .99p lip stain? Recieved mine in peach 3 days ago and braved it to work yesterday ! Everybody said that it looked really nice on me ????????

lucysmam · 18/09/2015 10:20

I like mine Jackie! I have a Berrisom one on my list to see if there's any difference between that and the cheap ones.

ScrambledSmegs · 18/09/2015 10:34

Hello! I finally have wifi, and am going to have a read back soon. Looks like a lot of great hauls and stuff I've missed. Hope you're all well.

My skin is finally settling down - have cut out sugar from my diet and am going low-carb, which seems to be helping. Am also taking Floradix but think I need more B vitamins than iron at the moment, so will be switching to Feroglobin when I run out. I'm not using any AB right now, have gone right back to basics with Cetaphil cleanser, (can't tolerate oil atm), Simple gel wash, and Ren Evercalm serum and moisturiser. It seems to be calming the rosacea well. But I have a lot of PIH so will be getting back to AB very soon, but slowly. Will probably start with Benton Snail Bee as my skin did like that more than everything else I've tried so far. No acids for a while, I think.

Btw green tea is brilliant stuff, isn't it? When my skin was flaring badly I made DIY face masks just out of cooled green tea and large Muji cotton wool pads. Would bring down the redness a treat, and calm the inflammation.
