And good luck to all the school starters today..........it will be nativity plays soon my friends Grin

AmberNectarine · 03/09/2015 09:42

Slightly just ordered these. Just to try, obvs.

maradesbois · 03/09/2015 11:00

Morning,

Dry that jeans thing is amazing! They look ace.

Amber nice one, have just ordered them in tan.

Lara tks for Paris info. I went to Marant store on Bruton St yesterday to try boots but not sure. The 39 looked huge on my feet but have got it wrong before sizing down to 38.

Fedup outfit sounded good. Pm'd you btw.

Marsha great boots.

Linus yes, really can't wait to start. Really need something for myself. Am ridiculously excited about the social side too, being out at professional stuff in my own capacity, not wife of...

Shop, take care, get it done & dusted.

Well, school run is a different ball game to the old one. Loads of gorgeous céline bags & Marant-esque mums (and teachers!). Everyone seemed really nice though.

maradesbois · 03/09/2015 11:15

Btw these are the boots am considering. They have concealed wedge like the crisi but I want full leather. Need to try with proper socks. It bothers me that they retail here for £450 when the euro sterling is 1.4. Would save £100 getting them in Paris but as am not 100% don't really want to send dh.

MarshaBrady · 03/09/2015 11:17

Snap Mara I got the tan too, have to try them for that price JC bikers. Studying will be ace.

Shop we'll guide you through Thanks

Amber very nice

Dry good work

QueenC loved your boots and starry jumper

Lara I love the dress for the bonkersness of it Grin

Great shopping Happy

Nice shopping Blair

MarshaBrady · 03/09/2015 11:18

Mara I was thinking about the cluster boot too, nice.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 03/09/2015 12:11

Well done Choo biker buyers, I saw them but decided I couldn't justify it as they're suede. The purple colour is amazing.

Marsha the R&B boots are also lovely. They are simple but they definitely suit your style.

mara sorry if I missed it, when does the course start?

Dry am very impressed with your hemming skills, they look great.

Finery parcel has arrived, packaging is quite cool, transparent bag instead of the usual grey ones.

Have a nice day all.

LinusLovesBretons · 03/09/2015 12:13

I like those boots mara even though I normally don't like smooth black leather. Maybe the slouch at the ankles makes it less hard looking.

shop (((hugs)))

amber I love the colour of those bikers but I'm not sure I could wear them with a lot.

fedup I second dry, ponyskin leopard print looks best but it does wear badly. My J Crew ballet flats have a bald spot at the front Sad

dry impressive sewing! I roll up my Jimmies and most of my skinnies as I have no clue how to even switch on the sewing machine. Grin

shopafrolic · 03/09/2015 16:16

Good work on the Jimmy bikers all - I was tempted by the ones Amber got but think I'll hold out for the black one day in my dreams

shopafrolic · 03/09/2015 16:35

Thoughts on this please?

HappyGirlNow · 03/09/2015 16:37

Really like that shop - could look very stylish!

HappyGirlNow · 03/09/2015 16:38

Really like the grey too...

shopafrolic · 03/09/2015 16:56

I've ordered it Happy as it's free returns and I could get it next day if I purchased before 5pm. Fingers crossed. Could be just the thing for this Autumn with black skinnies.
I loved the one you linked too Lib but it cut off at the wrong point for me I think.....
Has the Outnet upped its delivery charge?

shopafrolic · 03/09/2015 16:58

£8 now next day... £5 for 3-4 working days..... Hmm

I had that one on my Lust List on Pin conscious - pleased to have found similar.
Sorry - can't keep up are you a NCer, newbie or lurker? :) either way

GeorginaWorsley · 03/09/2015 20:11

Update on Boden ghillie flats...
Like them but they are too flat for me and seem slippy.
Plus the tie things annoy me and I know I wont wear them.
I love the thought of them and on other people but being sensible Grin

Some success with Marks Limited range navy biker jacket though.
Can't link as on phone but it is a sort of suede effect and firs beautifully.
Was 20 % discount too!

Drywhitethanks · 03/09/2015 20:39

So much on the Outnet tonight.....so tempting. But, I'm being good Confused
Had a great day buying the fun bits for inside my house, loads of things to put up on walls, I'm doing up the guest room too so curtain fabric and feature wall wall paper bought I'm very decisive and found some lovely bedside lamps too in TK Maxx £15 each Shock have hidden the old ones in my car boot to take to charity shop before DH notices really doesn't get replacing stuff you already have Grin

Longislandicetee · 03/09/2015 20:44

Evening all. I want to have a hormone induced rant about vanity sizing.Angry Seriously when I think size 6 is too big it makes me wonder where the heck the slim Kylie types shop.

On the plus side...I am wearing the dvf Bentley dress (thanks to Voguettes who convinced me that dmil is right) and have a hat! Now shoes bag and bling.

Dd chose her outfit tonight. She chose a pink and black dress with black sparkly shoes, pink tights, black cardigan. They rooted through her handbag collection and chose a black bag. She's decided on her version of a fascinator and even picked her bling. All matching. She's SIX years old!Shock

HappyGirlNow · 03/09/2015 20:44

Yes shop would be fab with black skinnies and some high-heeled ankle boots with just a simple top and nice bag.. Might be tempted myself! Someone linked to fab Chloe (I think) ones earlier in the thread.. I had similar Next ones (yes really) from years ago in tan suede and also black suede but chucked them a couple of years ago as the pointed toe and lack of any platform was out of fashion kicking myself now

VivaVegas · 03/09/2015 21:20

Wow, this thread has been moving fast!
Lots of lovely links although not sure I'm ready to wear boots just yet.

Georgina I love my Boden Ghillies in silver, wore them yesterday at work and got lots of lovely comments. I really like the navy ones too but they are definitely 'sloppier' as in wider and softer whereas the silver ones are very sharp and IMO look quite glam. I think the navy ones will go back. What colour did you get?
Hoping to have a low/no spend September. Have just ordered this Light parka as I could do with a lightweight jacket for when I'm out with the DC at the weekends and its a bit nippy. Not sure if this will be too heavy as don't need a full on thick parka but worth a try.
After that, am going to try an not buy anything, famous last words!

GeorginaWorsley · 03/09/2015 21:53

viva after much deliberation I got navy.
I do like them but I don't find them terribly comfortable and I just know I will rarely wear them.
I don't need smart work wear and I usually wear heels on nights out so am not sure when they would get an outing Smile

Drywhitethanks · 03/09/2015 22:31

Shop meant to say I can really see you in the All Saints coatigan, v nice, v you

onemightywizard · 04/09/2015 00:47

sorry i've been so quiet all, I has a horrible day yesterday. I'm sure i've spoken about my horrible neighbour before but yesterday he went too far and there is now a police investigation for assault, harassment and public order offences against him. All because of a bag of rubbish would you believe! In other news, i have developed an allergy to latex, an escalating contact allergy so not such great news either given how much medical treatment i have

but moving on:

The coatigan is very you shop

blingy both yours and DD's outfits sound FABULOUS

dry is there no way to have balding ponyskin repaired or is too much of a hassle to match patterns etc?

lib hop you get some of the uniqlo collab soon, i can absolutely see you in a lot of it

AmberNectarine · 04/09/2015 07:28

Blingy my DD is four and spent a great deal of time and effort choosing her outfits every evening on holiday. She insisted on having her nails done to match and various elaborate braided hairstyles. She also bemoaned the fact I only took her 4 pairs of shoes. She has her own mini Anya handbag (bought for her by my DB). DH is already panicking. Feel you on the clothes sizes by the way.
