That will flatter a 5'3 on-the-way-to-past-it mum? I can't find the threads. Love musto, Henri l, etc.

Has anyone seen a good, bargain one in a paler colour? I can't wear any of these wintery dark colours.

margaritasbythesea · 22/07/2015 13:17

Actually - loads on that Viking kids site. Thanks.

LovelyFriend · 22/07/2015 14:34

are Jack Murphys related to Seasalt? Their websites are very similar.

yazzy85 · 22/07/2015 15:25

Lovewearingjeans which Joules one did you buy??

Lndnmummy · 22/07/2015 16:04

Just bought a Didriksson Thelma, gorgeous

Chocolou · 22/07/2015 16:42

Can anyone recommend a light waterproof coat preferably knee or mid thigh length. Must not be padded. Have got my faithful Didrikson for winter.
Budget upto £100

IvanOsokin · 22/07/2015 16:50

I've got this one, which is brilliant for winter. Very warm and fits well.

Landsend is always worth a look, especially their extensive sale section. They do petite too. I've linked to the Stadium Squall which is very warm and snuggly.

KanyesVest · 22/07/2015 17:27

Chocolou I found this site last night Happy Rainy Days. I know nothing about them, but some of the coats look nice.

MemphisBella · 22/07/2015 17:31

Place marking. My Hudson Bay Company one bit the dust last winter and they don't make them any more. Sad

daimbardiva · 22/07/2015 17:42

This thread has now cost me a £100 - I sent off for a didriksons Mary yesterday in olive green. It arrived today and I bloody love it, can't wait for winter now!!!!

I'm a tall 14 - the 14 fits me perfectly

lovingmatleave · 22/07/2015 21:09

Just the thread I need too. Near autumnal conditions here today got me goggling at lunch for autumn waterproof, so this thread is great.

This site has the jack wolfskin ice guard for £65 in different colours and some larger sizes, but like you OP i am short and feel it might be that bit too long.

Also check out Ilse jacobsen. Lots of their stuff here.

Check out their rubber boots too!

Chicinwellies · 22/07/2015 21:24

Oh no this thread is seriously not good. Two coats ordered, the Mary and the Iceguard, and I love them both equally. There is no way I should keep looking............

I have this Seasalt coat. Very waterproof. I wore it to the Open at St Andrews and it kept me warm and dry.

margaritasbythesea · 23/07/2015 09:32

The Jack Wolfskin Ice Guard is not waterproof. Is that true?

Has anyone tried or got the Didriksons Whitney? I like the red!

margaritasbythesea · 23/07/2015 09:35

Whitney

LovelyFriend · 23/07/2015 10:16

I've fallen in love with the Patagonia linked to up-thread, but there is no way I'd pay even the sale price for one. It has possibly ruined me for all other coats though.

Chicinwellies · 23/07/2015 10:47

OMG. That patagonia coat is beautiful.

Chicinwellies · 23/07/2015 10:48

OK. Iceguard advice please - who says it is, and isnt waterproof? This baby needs to stand up to a Cornish winter and I'll sadly have to send it back if its not going to be properly waterproof....

OP posts:
KanyesVest · 23/07/2015 13:48

Iceguard has kept me warm and dry through an Irish winter.

PrimalLass · 23/07/2015 14:18

The Whitney looks nice, but a bit short I think. There's no point in a waterproof coat stopping at mid-thigh.

PrimalLass · 23/07/2015 14:19

The Iceguard is water resistant, not waterproof.

Oly4 · 23/07/2015 14:20

Another vote for North Face Arctic Parka for winter! I love mine

margaritasbythesea · 23/07/2015 15:23

I came to the same conclusion about the Whitney, but now I really want red!

Lndnmummy · 23/07/2015 19:12

Didriksson is waterproof. Scandinavian brands are amazing
