Mogz I've sent your snail gel. I don't know your surname though (you didn't put it in the PM, since deleted btw) so it has been addressed to FirstName Mogz Grin I hope that doesn't raise too many eyebrows!

lucysmam · 21/08/2015 17:39

I spied on reddit earlier that COSRX have released a honey sleeping pack cos I really need to add another I'm going to look it up properly later on. It's listed on Jolse for around $14 so somewhere around £9ish?

Frugal, you remember that invitation to join the using up thread...I think I need it Blush 4!!!Shock (non ab) body lotions I've accumulated lately, several back ups of bha pads, konjac sponges, foot creams.

I was this bad years ago but until lately used stuff until it actually needed to be replaced. Must go back to that!

lucysmam · 21/08/2015 18:20

Forgot to mention, I picked up some of the 3 for 2 Superdrug sheet masks today - will report back when I try one Smile

muddlingalongquitenicely · 21/08/2015 21:48

I have just relaxed in the bath with a Banilla lace hydrogel mask sheet it was a moisturising one with sodium hyaluronate &lily with white flower complex. My skin feels lovely afterwards the only problem I had was it kept slipping down my face I had to keep pulling it up.

AngelaRipp0n · 21/08/2015 23:07

I've done similar muddling, Apple peeling gel on face in the bath, Micellar water, acid tone, wait, FTE, haddo Labo, Tosowoong propolis sheet mask, scinic honey ampoule, Cerave, white wine sleep pack - am hoping I don't stick to the pillow!

lucysmam · 22/08/2015 10:22

short Vogue article about the 'Cult of Cute]] I thought some of you might enjoy Smile

FrustratedFrugal · 22/08/2015 12:39

My Missha cushion is falling apart. The plastic is splintering where it snaps shut and the puff is also crumpled and unraveling. It is almost dry but I am a bit disappointed as I was looking forward to many rounds of DIYing.

lucysmam · 22/08/2015 13:39

Your nn seems very apt Frugal Sad . Are they supposed to be re-fillable? I'd be tempted to complain if they are, never know, you might get a lovely new one.

mowglik · 22/08/2015 13:45

That's disappointing - you can get empty DIY cushion compacts for about £5 on eBay though.. I have one and am concentrating efforts on making various mixes to use up my unwanted foundations and highlighters

angela I love the holika white wine sleep mask, it's fast becoming a favourite - it is quite tacky on the skin for about 5-10 min though so don't recommend putting face to pillow until it's done absorbing

mowglik · 22/08/2015 13:50

Oh also I was going to say lucysmam I love the miss flower and Mr honey hydrogels, really brightening and moisturising I save them for special occasions

Sorry to see littlechinapig go, hope we don't lose too many more members, I like reading reddit but enjoy the UK based AB chat too Flowers

lucysmam · 22/08/2015 14:03

Ooh, thanks mowglik, I will have a look at those too. Wonder if there's a UK stockist I could order one from in time for next weekend when dp does his bike ride. That's come around fast - I'm planning a weekend of pampering evenings for me Grin

I like the holika white whine sleep mask too -it smells lovely & is quite refreshing to apply on a warm evening. Dp licked it the other night though (was joking about that I smelled good enough to eat)...it doesn't taste like it smells apparently Grin

ScrambledSmegs · 22/08/2015 17:40

lucysmam I've just looked at the Vogue article and found this product very entertaining.

Neck mask

Korean's are so marvellously blunt Grin

Tonight I'm going to use a hanbang sheet mask for the first time. I hope it is as good as Snow White says it is.

lucysmam · 22/08/2015 18:04

Grin yes, that caught my eye too.

I'm intrigued by the hair star thingy too so going to look that up later and see what it does.

lucysmam · 22/08/2015 18:49

oh, they're just velcro pads to hold hair out of the way. Not sure what I was expecting tbh.

lucysmam · 22/08/2015 21:12

Hmmmm, I'm trying a Superdrug Hydrating '5 minute fabric facial' sheet mask tonight.

My initial thoughts are don't bother buying this one which is a shame because they're easily affordable and obtainable Sad

The mask itself is rather thick, eye and mouth holes huge. Not much essence in the pouch & when it came out it felt kind of soapy Confused (you know like when you have a not rinsed properly soapy cloth?...kind of like that). & the smell is like public loo soap Hmm . It's not sticking well either.

Not impressed at all - will try the other two at some point (I got a calming one and purifying too as they were 3 for 2) but will not hold my breath for great things.

lucysmam · 22/08/2015 21:17

I'm just re-reading the ingredients on the back; it has yeast extract and seaweed extract in - would those maybe be responsible for the smell? I can't see a fragrance listed.

I'm going to hold onto the packet tonight & do some ingredient googling tomorrow if the girls go out to play.

lucysmam · 22/08/2015 21:40

Almost forgot as well - I looked up the % of salicylic acid in the Clearasil pads this afternoon. There is only 1% in them whereas, I seem to recall reading, that it performs best between 2-5% (please correct me if I'm wrong on that). Maybe that is why whoever it was who posted about trying the COSRX BHA last week ish isn't seeing great results? Sorry, I can't remember who it was Blush

lucysmam · 22/08/2015 21:44

Just googled the superdrug ones but can't find a % for those.

I'm off to search reddit, see what I can find Smile

lucysmam · 22/08/2015 22:22

hmmm, nowt on reddit either (have posted a thread) & mixed reviews on superdrug website.

On another note - anyone know of a serum type product available in the UK with niacinamide in? I don't think I'll be placing another order before my Dragon blood essence runs out.

AngelaRipp0n · 22/08/2015 22:23

I love you lot, you read the same articles, blogs etc not only get excited about the same things but you do the googling for me Grin.

I may have ordered some Velcro hair things, teen dd's steel my clips and I have a floppy fringe, these Velcro things won't be cool enough to be stolen.

lucysmam · 22/08/2015 22:32

You'll have to let me know if the velcro things work...they may have gone on the list Grin

lucysmam · 22/08/2015 22:34

I came back to say - the mask may not be the best I've tried but it doesn't leave any excess, sticky, residue to absorb & I have a pleasant 'dewy' look going on so not all bad.

TheWombat · 22/08/2015 22:42

From my blog-reading I seem to remember that the CosRX blackhead power is about 4% betaine salicylate, which is a slightly less strong form of salicylic acid, and the CosRX Bha a-sol is about 0.5%. So the blackhead power is smack bang in the middle of the range for Bha. I think Fifty snails uses the a-sol more as a ph-adjuster than an exfoliant.

Lucysmam I have heard that some yeasty first essences can smell weird. But I have the CosRX galactomyces essence and that smells of nothing at all (not sure it's doing anything either).

lucysmam · 22/08/2015 22:45

Maybe that is responsible for the smell then. I'll do some ingredient googling on the laptop in the morning.

lucysmam · 22/08/2015 22:46

& maybe the blackhead power would be more effective than the Clearasil. Or Superdrug if I find out the % in them. What do you reckon my chances are that they'll tell me?
