My matcha powder has arrived -just not sure how much to use for a diy sheet mask now Confused I shall have a google.

My dp is now waiting on more parcels than me Hmm will have to rectify that soon Grin

I might try that lip mask tonight in front of the box while I start my Christmas list. I will report back what it's like.

mowglik · 18/08/2015 13:25

No news from me just popping on to say lucky you muddling, I would have a huuuge list for DH if he was going to Korea. I'd imagine the prices are way cheaper..

Quick review: innisfree real squeeze Manuka honey - mask went on fine, a small amount of serum left in pouch to pat on butt cheeks body. Skin looked slightly brighter and clearer on taking off the mask and definitely more moisturised but won't buy this one again as the serum is quite sticky. Even an hour on my skin is still tacky so will wash off the serum. Other real squeeze masks have been more successful (aloe, rose)

lucysmam · 18/08/2015 13:37

I really liked the Manuka Honey one mowglik. It's worked wonders for soothing my random hormonal spots and helping reduce them.

Just goes to show, different strokes for different folks!

lucysmam · 18/08/2015 18:34

Who else has bubble masks? I'm wondering if they all have a slightly antispetic ish smell to them?

ScrambledSmegs · 18/08/2015 19:24

I have had an absolutely awful couple of days, and have to say sorry to m0gz for not having posted the snail gel yet. I promise to go the the post office tomorrow morning and send it.

lucysmam I have the holika holika one, it doesn't smell antiseptic to me, just very fresh. However it tickled like you wouldn't believe so I had to wash it off reasonably quickly! I like it though, only used it once so far but my skin looked brighter and clearer afterwards, with less visible pores.

lucysmam · 18/08/2015 19:27

They do tickle don't they! I bought the Ikiara one - it has a very slightly antiseptic smell. I don't mind it (scents don't bother me much) but I wondered what the others are like. I might have a look at the Holika one.

I like the less visible pores from using it, I look all smoooooth and airbrushed 'til the next day Grin

MissesandMuddles · 18/08/2015 19:32

I have the milky piggy bubble clay mask and that doesn't have an antiseptic smell, just a faint fresh kind of smell that's hard to put your finger on. I love it, I like the tickles and it leaves my face feeling super soft. Is impossible to use without looking completely daft though!

NewsreaderChic · 18/08/2015 21:09

Lucysmam - did you actually just say Christmas list?? You mad woman!

Am getting tempted by a bubble mask now.

Hope things improve Scrambled, nothing too awful I hope.

lucysmam · 18/08/2015 21:12

Urm, yes Grin

I won't tell you that I've nearly finished buying stocking fillers and started on advent calendar fillers and extra bits and bobs of cupboard food

m0gz · 18/08/2015 22:00

Scrambled please don't worry, apologies definitely not needed - hope you are OK? (Not been swatted have you?!)

Taken ages to log in tonight. I was cursing as I could not get the password reset email to work- it helps if you enter the email address actually linked to your account apparently Blush

I emailed tk this morning without desperate cushion rage and a few minutes later it changed to shipped :) now to survive the delivery wait Grin

To satisfy the urge to cushion I went and played with the lancome one today. It looked really dark in the cushion case which was off putting but seemed OK on my skin. I also found an Asian gift shop in town that I didn't know existed but there was no cosmetics just pokemon :(

ScrambledSmegs · 18/08/2015 22:16

Nope, haven't been swatted! Although we've discovered that my engagement ring and some other jewellery has been stolen. No evidence of breaking and entering so presumably by someone who had authorised access to our house. Obviously there's been a few recently what with the house move.

So dealing with the police, insurance, insurance premium on new house has obviously been affected too... Plus massive stress with the sellers, to the extent that we've practically had to organise their mover and guarantee the bloody deposit too Hmm. I don't blame them as such, as it turns out we've been lied to a bit by the estate agents and quite frankly have no idea why, it's the most pointless thing to lie about.

Aargh. Stress. Not even a sheet mask is helping (it's dripping and making me feel tetchy).

m0gz · 18/08/2015 22:35

Shock scrambled I am so so sorry, that is just awful :( do they think it was someone viewing the property? I think you should remove the sheet mask and resort to Wine

ScrambledSmegs · 18/08/2015 22:41

Wine?! I'm on the fecking Grin

No, sadly more likely to have been someone we've known for a while Sad. The police have a few suspects. Can't say any more, really.

lucysmam · 18/08/2015 22:45

Scrambled, that sounds hellish Sad

I'd remove the sheet mask if it's itching and dripping, it sounds more annoying than anything else.

I've been having a ponder this evening (while reading the Christmas thread Blush Grin ) - I think my face quite likes niacinamide. I no longer look oil-slickey, my long, deep, forehead wrinkle seems less deep and less well defined at the edges. I'm wondering if you can 'overdose' on specific ingredients though - it features in 3 (maybe 4, I haven't double checked the propolis ampoule yet) of the products I'm using.

m0gz · 18/08/2015 23:08

I did look for the mn vodka symbol but couldn't find it for you scrambled.

I will also confess to some Christmas related shopping and I need to start on my things to make list soon. Unfortunately Grin the Korean influence has also crept into my crafting lately and I have been making a couple of tops that I think originated in Korea but Google translate cannot always be relied on!

I have noticed niacinamide helping with my forehead as well Lucysmam. I think its just in the cerave and my serums but I can feel a difference.

NewsreaderChic · 18/08/2015 23:44

Scrambled that sounds really upsetting, keep drinking the gin.

I thought I was an early Christmas adopter, now I don't allow myself to do anything until October half term. When my dc's were little ai started earlier, now they're older 12.13 & 16 it's not so magical, much harder to find presents and a lot more expensive.

lucysmam · 18/08/2015 23:45

ah, don't say that News, Christmas is my favourite time of year! It's all twinkly and sparkly and special Grin

mowglik · 19/08/2015 08:20

scrambled that sounds awful I don't know which is worse, losing your engagement ring or being duped by someone you trusted..hope it's all sorted out and you get your jewellery back

lucysmam I love Christmas too, when the clock goes back is when the excitement starts here Grin and winter is my favourite season because of all the festivities - bonfires, Halloween Xmas and new year Grin rub hands in glee

ScrambledSmegs · 19/08/2015 09:25

I'm on the blasted 'List' as well. You know the one I mean Angry

All PMs have been deleted, have no fear.

TheWombat · 19/08/2015 09:34

Gosh scrambled that sounds awfulBrewCake hope the police catch the buggers.

I'm not on the list btw, but have now deleted all PMs anyway. how incredibly frightening- esp for those MNers who use the site as a resource and support in times of DV, etc. my heart goes out to them.

On a lighter note - I am v tempted by the CosRX blackhead power liquid. And a bubble mask. And a CosRX 'a-sol' although I'm not quite sure it's a good idea, my skin is not really settling down and I'm longing for the good old days a year or so ago when I got just one or two spots a month..Sad

lucysmam · 19/08/2015 09:53

I am on the bloody list - but with an old password. Not sure whether to change again just in case

lucysmam · 19/08/2015 09:59

Wombat, I've not had any trouble with the bubble mask - if anything it helped calm my lovely hormonal break out last week.

I'm torn between the Benton bha & the COSRX Confused I have the samples of the Benton so am going to try them and see what they're like.

TheWombat · 19/08/2015 10:03

Hmm Lucysmam that does sound promising. Let me know what the Benton Bha is line!

ScrambledSmegs · 19/08/2015 10:33

Wombat the A-sol is great as a kind of spot treatment. I use the BHA less frequently, maybe every 3-4 days. I use the AHA too, but also well spaced out.

Have you tried taking B vitamins? I've started taking a high dose of B6 now on the advice of my GP, and it seems to have sorted out my skin too.

Change it, lucysmam. Better safe than sorry. It might help if you cut and paste from a word document too, DH says that a lot of the time phishing sites use basic key loggers.
