Cheers Scrambled, I'll get the laptop out & do it then.

ScrambledSmegs · 19/08/2015 14:51

In other news, it turns out the thief that we have amongst us is none other than... DD2! The child rifled through my drawers and took the 'shinies' and put my ring in her hair clip box Shock Grin Blush

Luckily both police and insurers have been very kind about this. They say it happens all the time. I feel like such a twit, I was so sure that I'd checked all the places that she could possibly have put it. The earrings are still missing but am sure they'll turn up now, and they're of little value anyway.

lucysmam · 19/08/2015 14:59

I bet that's a relief Scrambled! My dd2 does things like that - all valuable shiny things are kept well out of reach here!

ScrambledSmegs · 19/08/2015 15:59

I thought they were, lucysmam! The kid sure can climb.

lucysmam · 19/08/2015 16:28

Ah, mine are not climbers thankfully!

AngelaRipp0n · 19/08/2015 20:48

Just popping in to say that I've namechnaged due to all the shenanigans I'm hoping that you'll realise who I am.

Pay day tomorrow, so I'm thinking of any eye cream any suggestions?

muddlingalongquitenicely · 19/08/2015 21:55

Oops DH has seen my shopping list Blush for Korea i did try to explain that some items were written down for me to do more research on them. I found a sample from his last trip its by clio professional kill cover foundation i think in the colour 2-BP its actually quite a good colour for me.

ScrambledSmegs · 20/08/2015 08:57

I like the new NN, Ange! I've met her, have you? She's a big ballet fan, bumped into her at the ROH once, she was really nice. And so tall. Lovely skin too Grin

lucysmam · 20/08/2015 09:19

Oof, my brain is not cut out for complicated passwords - I've had to write the bugger down so I don't forget Grin

I was coming back last night to ask what other light moisturising layers folks are using, but then got kicked out & cba to re-set again. Might nc as well...maybe.

Anyone got the Mizon Ultra Suboon? Seems to be about the same texture as snail & a little more hydrating.

Nothing wrong with snail btw - just fancying a change.

lucysmam · 20/08/2015 13:53

& hydrogel masks - who's tried them & what did you like?

My list of make up/novelty bits is huge atm, will need a fair bit of trimming if I'm going to get any actual skincare on there Grin

TheWombat · 20/08/2015 21:24

scrambled B vitamins is a good idea, thank you - I will try that, and remember to take the fish oil capsules too! And I love the little cat burglar story, that's a classic! One to store up for her 18th birthday or for the wedding speeches I think. Grin

Does anyone have the Holika Holika gel eyeliner pencil? I can remember some people raving about it, but I'm wondering how you can sharpen it, as the surround seems to be plastic rather than wooden like your average eyeliner. Any ideas?

HadToReregister · 20/08/2015 21:28

As my NN suggests I have had some issues with the recent MN hack. My username and password were published in the hack. My data has been compromised and as a result I can now no longer log into MN under my previous account, nor the email address I'd set up specifically for it.

As a result I have asked MN to formally de-register me and to delete my entire posting history, because I am not confident that my data is safe. I wanted to come back on the thread to say bye to you all, thank you for the skincare advice and that I've enjoyed sharing success and cystic monsters with you! I also wanted to explain why certain gaps might appear in the thread because all of my posts will be withdrawn. Unfortunately I am not confident about posting on MN anymore because of the hack, so once my main account has been de-registered, I'll also be de-registering this NN as well. However I will lurk, so I wish you all radiant and youthful skin!

lucysmam · 20/08/2015 21:45

Wombat, you sharpen the plastic afai can work out - their website says it's soft enough to sharpen like a normal liner.

TheWombat · 20/08/2015 21:46

Sad so sorry HadToReregister, we will miss sharing snail slime and cystic monsters with you. Can totally understand and have thought about doing the same myself. Good to know you'll be lurking and with us still. Flowers

lucysmam · 20/08/2015 21:48

Sad HadtoReregister, I imagine there are a fair few feeling the same way. Hopefully you'll still enjoy lurking & discovering some new stuff along the way Smile

TheWombat · 20/08/2015 21:48

Awesome, thanks for that Lucysmam, I will crack on and order one! At least I know it's unlikely to break me out.

lucysmam · 20/08/2015 21:53

You'll have to report back what it's like - I still haven't got round to ordering one even though they've been on my list for ages!

ScrambledSmegs · 20/08/2015 22:42

I'm sorry to hear that, LittleChinaPig. Keep on lurking, and I hope we hear from you one day again soon.

I have 2 of the gel eyeliner pencils, they are lovely, very soft. Easy to sharpen, too. However, the pale pink one has relatively big pieces of glitter in which catch the eye and look a bit weird!

Earrings have been found now too. In the plastic toy toaster Hmm. I got the logic of the clip box, but have no idea what she was thinking this time!

lucysmam · 20/08/2015 22:49

Glad you found your earrings Scrambled. Although it is a very random place for them to be Grin Wonder what she was thinking there
Confused

Mine has a nice collection of special stones going on at the mo in a shoe box...she collects a special one every day...from our gravel driveway strange child

AngelaRipp0n · 20/08/2015 23:18

Evening all, sorry to hear you're going Little, I had to dereg too and have learnt a lesson in that from now on I'm only ever posting things I'd happily have made public. It's sad MN has helped many people through such difficult times and now there'll be a lot of people who'll think twice before discussing anything sensitive.

I used a hydrogel the other week Lucysmam, I liked the fit, the amount of essence was enormous and the results were good too, it was an Etude House one.

I'm having issues with the Retin a, I've been using the lowest strength for about four months now, I started very slowly at every third night and am now on alternate nights. I keep meaning to go nightly but I still get flaking & peeling. I've tried no moisturiser, before moisturiser and after and still get the same reaction. I've got an interview for a job tomorrow and if I get it I'm going to have to drop the retin a as I can't wear make up on top of peeling skin and its a public facing roll. All very well to be make up free with friends and family, but I really don't want to work without it. So I think it's going to have to go.

ScrambledSmegs · 20/08/2015 23:38

Grin mine is a stone collector too! They could be twins!

"This one is very special Mummy"

DropOfHoney · 21/08/2015 16:44

Hello, just a quick question about ordering products from Korea to the UK- is there a certain amount that incurs an additional charge? I've ordered from the US in the past and seem to remember trying to keep the total under a certain amount. TIA

lucysmam · 21/08/2015 17:06

Drop, keep it less than £15 and you should be ok.

Jolse do seem to mark everything at $7 value though. Surprised customs haven't cottoned on yet tbh, even big boxes are $7.

FrustratedFrugal · 21/08/2015 17:17

HadToDeregister so sorry to see you go. Totally understand though and also thinking of lying low for a bit. A forum I loved in the past experienced a similar Hackergate and never fully recovered. I cannot believe it's happening here too

Sending everyone lots of virtual snail slime - hope things calm down soon.

DropOfHoney · 21/08/2015 17:19

Many thanks, I'll check out Jolse
