How often do you get your nails done?

Queenof I've heard that, but I wonder whether it is the case- certainly in Australia there are lots of migrant workers/ ?trafficked women living several to a room, but in London my experience of several salons is that they have local accents and leave early to collect their kids from school.

I have gel polish on my own nails every 3 weeks (occasionally it ends up being 4 weeks which stresses me out as I hate having lots of regrowth). I have my toes done every other time (so 6 weeks on average).

Having pretty nails is extremely important to me and I would sacrifice a lot of other stuff before I give this up

Every 10 days or so. Its my one proper beauty treat I allow myself.
Havent got the will to be faffing about left-handedly painting my right hand etc.

I don't usually bother but today had a shape and Vinylux polish in a bright pink as I am going out. I prefer the look and longevity of shellac but save that for holidays. I should look after my nails more. I have very dry cuticles and hate all that pushing back. Saying that, I use hand cream/nail oil every night but it doesn't seem to do much.

Lots of badly treated vietnamese beauty workers They may look like they are fine/enjoying but reality behind scenes often different One of my builders was fitting out a salon and the women were desperate to get away but couldn't Now closed thankfully but so many others So if you love your nails try and find someone ethical

For some reason I don't like the feel of polish on my fingernails but I do love painted toenails. But I have really ticklish feet so worry I'd kick the pedicurist like a donkey if I went to a salon!

Once ever, on a spa day, and the girl made such an almighty mess of them that I've never gone again.

Friends that do, though, go between weekly and once every 2-3w, iirc.

I have gel nails (not Shellac) done every six weeks with an infill after three. This has stopped me biting my nails and I am very happy to have normal nails at last. They never chip either.

Once a month. I love getting them done, its a real treat and makes me feel 'finished'. If I can't get therapist to do them then I do them myself.

You don't need to have them polished elder you could just have them filed and cuticles done if you don't like the feel of polish.

I can't imagine people in your social circle will give two hoots as to whether your nails are painted or not.

I don't know why you'd bother if you don't actually like painted nails. Seems odd.

Yeah, I started getting mine done because everyone at work was getting theirs done and it did give me something "interesting" to talk about with my colleagues. They even gave me a manicure set as one of my leaving presents! Also it makes me look groomed as I don't wear makeup (just get eyebrows done, etc). Now, like Winston Smith at the end of 1984, I love getting my nails done.

Gel nails every 2-3 weeks it's my treat to myself.
I only get my toe nails done twice a year though!

I do my nails every day.

By that I mean, little file to keep them the same length and get rid of any little chips or snags and I moisturise them every day. I put polish on if I am going out and only leave it on for a few days. Nails dry up and go brittle without good moisture. Mine are quite strong now, so are very long.

About 2 years ago, I decided to give gel/acrylic/false ones ago. Kept it up for about 4 months, but they didn't feel right. What a bloody mess my nails were when I decided to go back to natural! Dry, brittle, peeling. Took me 6 months to get them back to normal again.

If you can, invest some time in your 'real' nails. They look so much nicer and it's cheaper.

Only for special occasions when everything needs to be just right.
Otherwise look after them myself - am lucky they grow in a nice oval shape and are healthy.
Don't actually like the nails constantly polished look and certainly not on myself. But do paint them sometimes, with an Essie nude colour or Dior clear effect.

I get acrylics done every 3 weeks . Quite long and filed to a coffin shape.
They cost me £20
I don't bother with infills and just get a new set each time
