gutted to be missing the MU as well, things haven't quite worked out how they were meant to this summer which is a real shame

i've really struggled this summer to find anything i have wanted to buy, nothing seems to be in colours that suit me or styles that look good. Hoping for a better hit rate in A/W

Drywhiteplease · 13/07/2015 07:46

Yey Shop!!!Grin
Liked my Skinnies yesterday with old heeled red sandals. A possible for MU but......after walking in them for 4hrs my feet hurt and they still do this morning, darn!

Drywhiteplease · 13/07/2015 07:47

Weather forecast at the mo for Saturday is 23 and dry.

shopafrolic · 13/07/2015 08:09

Nice one - will try harder with outfit then. Haircut first, hope to be there on time.......

Sob at MU chat Sad
You will all look fab as usual I am sure.

OOTD Elia b leopard print loafers, Gerard Darel cream/beige trousers, Hobbs Teal boatneck top, tan Zara jacket. Gold and green earrings and necklace. Coral tote bag.

QueenCardigan · 13/07/2015 10:06

Morning. Wet and miserable here. I also have an ill ds so no circuits again for me.
I hope it is 23 and dry onnSaturday. I can't bear the thought of mooching about in the rain. I wore my dune sandals with the sparky heels on Saturday night and walked home in them fine so I may wear those.

Karbea · 13/07/2015 10:19

lib your ootd day sounds nice. I really need a tan blazer, just looked at Zara and couldn't see anything.
I think I might get these to replace something very similar...

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 13/07/2015 10:24

Morning all. Wet weather style here - ie none - OOTD is H&M navy skinny ankle grazers Wink and a short sleeved grey jumper.

I made the decision on the H&M top as it's now half price Hmm so going back.

fedup I went there recently and the lovely novice advised me on dress code - I think I wore jeans, heels and a silk top. I loved it :)

Lib and QueenC pm!

QueenCardigan · 13/07/2015 13:11

Thanks for everyone that's pm'd me.
shop my book has already. Just about to finish my housework and sit down with a cup of tea and a flick through it.

shopafrolic · 13/07/2015 13:18

Let me know what you think QueenC

Thanks for all the birthday wishes - we had a lovely time camping in Suffolk with a few other folk and enough gin to ease us in

Welcome back Shop sounds like you had a nice holiday.

I have no idea what I'll be wearing on Saturday - I need to take the kids swimming in the morning, then meet my family for casual lunch & play in the Olympic park - before coming to meet the MNVers.

I laughed at your Crocs Blair, they're not too bad but not very you! I do love Birkies though and need to get a new Arizona pair as just have the one strap pair at the moment and they're not half as comfy.

I need a kaftan for my holiday - 10 days time eek - and am in love wth this Seafolly one but please tell me it's madness to pay that much for something you chuck on over a swimsuit. I think I'm just after her whole look, but need to lose 20 years & pounds to achieve it Hmm.

shopafrolic · 13/07/2015 16:02

OOO Stokey I didn't realise I'd get to meet you :) Any others coming who I haven't met?

AmberNectarine · 13/07/2015 16:25

MEEEEEEE

MyVegasBaby · 13/07/2015 17:12

Love that kaftan Stokey but as you say a lot of cash when it'll no doubt get covered in suntan lotion!

shopafrolic · 13/07/2015 17:15

You were already a given Amber :)

Someone at Boden has been lurking......remember my obsessive search for leopard print flat? My Daniel pair are going bald Sad only the right foot Hmm .

This is the second time pony hair leopard print flats have had this problem.

Have I learnt?

Nooooooooooo.......ever hopeful I've ordered these and........

Drywhiteplease · 13/07/2015 17:30

these in leopard print, no image online.

But, much as I love a pointy flat , my feet really don't, so I'll try both styles.

Drywhiteplease · 13/07/2015 17:34

Quite like the the look of these too

shopafrolic · 13/07/2015 17:54

Funny how different our tastes can be Dry - I was looking at the Boden flyer and thinking there were no stand out cult blogger shoes this time around......... My leopard Madewells have gone bald too on the point of one foot. I won't go there again :(

OP posts:
QueenCardigan · 13/07/2015 18:17

Not impressed with the new Boden stuff. Although the glittery heels are nice but 4 times the price of my top shop ones.
stokey can totally see you in that but personally I think it's too much for the beach. Just think what you could spend that money on instead.
shop I'm enjoying the book but I was hoping to be inspired and learn something but it all just seems a bit obvious. I haven't read eclectic or high fashion yet but I'm not sure where I fit in. I'm guessing bohemian but anything too hippy like and romantic makes me look like I'm in costume however much I like it.

LinusDKD · 13/07/2015 18:59

I'm not buying ponyskin shoes ever again after my leopard print J Crew ones got a bald spot almost immediately.

Drywhiteplease · 13/07/2015 19:04

Maybe I shouldn't. Will see what they're like. I just find leopard print shoes fit so well in my wardrobe. Wonder how Boden went down in France, remember hearing JB talking about breaking the French market a few years ago.

shopafrolic · 13/07/2015 19:07

QueenC I just liked a lot of the imagery. I think with all these things you can pick elements from each category and mix things up to suit. Was interested in her background though. Sounds like she had some v lucky breaks...

OP posts:
QueenCardigan · 13/07/2015 19:47

Yes the imagery is fab. And yes to the lucky breaks-randomly getting a job with Demarchelier at 18! I've download her other book onto my kindle.

OneLittleLady · 13/07/2015 20:12

i'm now thinking to A/W and i think i'd like both plum/purple and black cashmere cardigans and maybe a merino wool or merino wool mix dress of some sort. think i'd also like some silk shirts/blouses and some wool skirts. i'm thinking of looking in uniqlo and hobbs for most of it, i really love the things i have both shops and they fit me well so i think they are where i'lls tart looking
