stokey I love that dress so much I popped into H&M today to buy two striped versions:white/blue and blue/white

I also tried it in yellow but the yellow wasn't acid enough for my colouring.

DH and I had lunch on a terrace today and even though we were in the shade, I sweated buckets. TMI?

I'm definitely having a shower tonight before going to bed!

Popped into H and M today. Heaving with women stocking up on cheap summer bits. Bought the short dark blue dress linus bought.

Also added a pair or slim legged , cotton, black with tiny white dot trousers for work in with my weekly Sainsburys shop.

Havianas arrived too.....more of a coral red. Fancy bright yellow too. Really happy feet

dry when I tried them on last year those Gap bf shorts really didn't suit me. To be fair, none of the denim shorts I've tried are flattering.

linus if I can wear them you definitely can. I'm a recent convert to shorts. Have discovered that shorter ones are more flattering than "safe" Bermuda length. And loads of St Tropez. You should try them again, I'm sure they would look fine.

And I ized down, don't like anything bulky. Maybe try that as Gap stuff grows a lot

dry I like my Boden chino shorts (shorter length) but my thighs are a bit wobbly so I am self-conscious about wearing them outside of the house.

You are completely more toned than I am though so they probably work better on you.

Never buy the same thing in multiple colours - you'll never love it as much

spend on classics not on short lived trends

If you don't love it immediately don't keep it

Does it go with at least 3 other items in your wardrobe

I disagree about the multiple colours. I love my 3 boden ravello tops equally.
I try to stick to only buying either what i love or what is practical.
Agree with going with other things rather than making another purchase to make an outfit.

Hmm, I rarely wear shorts as am a bit short and dumpy but maybe need to wear slightly shorter shorts - my 2 pairs are virtually knee length!
