This is the look I am channelling today but with flats and an orange bag.

Just noticed you've given up caffeine Marsha - caffeine and alcohol definitely stop me sleeping well too. can't do much about the alcohol though!!

OneLittleLady · 24/06/2015 10:31

how are you finding the decaf marshadid you get any caffiene withdrawal headaches? i drink tons of caffiene as otherwise i sleep all day but when i have given it up in the past its made no difference to my sleep

say in dps back garden right now with a coffee.going for a wander in a little while

MarshaBrady · 24/06/2015 12:02

Fedup yep sleep is precious these days. So I don't drink alcohol at home either as it woke me at 3am and caffeine was last thing as I got in a tiredness / no sleep / caffeine cycle which was too much.

One I started a while ago, about four months now and thinking back I found it a hard habit to break at first and didn't even do decaf but had hot water and lemon instead to try and cheat that urge. Now I have switched to decaf at work as its better than my coffee machine at making something quite close.

I absolutely looked forward to those two / three cups a day so was the hardest cycle to get out of. But dc are sleeping through I need to not be awake while they do sleep.

libertychick · 24/06/2015 13:26

Well done on kicking the caffeine habit Marsha. I did for a while last year but didn't last.

Toast trousers have arrived. Keepers Smile

Is Blair on holidays???

shopafrolic · 24/06/2015 13:57

MarshaB in caffeine withdrawal shocker Shock I never thought it would happen?!
Now who is going to make me feel better about my Nespresso habit?

Damn - meant to add. Flash Magic Erasers are the best thing ever for cleaning Adidas Shell Toe trainers. Mine are nice and fresh white again. :)

OneLittleLady · 24/06/2015 15:09

just been for a rummage in tk maxx and picked up a pair of paige jeans for £17.also got a pink sleeveless button front playsuit with elephants and giraffes printed on it in black Smile

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 24/06/2015 15:29

I'm here lib :) work is very busy (and stressful!) at the mo and I haven't been feeling great about it the last few days. Also been a bit shopped out and didn't need any encouragement Blush

One I pmed you earlier :)

Linus I had the epic beach bag hunt a few weeks ago too, ended up getting one from Gap - now sold out - with a matching clutch, which felt very organised. How about this or this for similarity to the Sophie Anderson?

I also saw this and thought of Karbea/ Lib. Sorry if it's been linked before as I haven't opened every link.

Shop magic erasers (you can buy them in large packs online from ebay and such) are good at cleaning EVERYTHING Grin we have used them before to clean black marks off the outside of our conservatory!

libertychick · 24/06/2015 16:09

Intrigued now by Flash magic erasers - should we start a housekeeping sideline to MNV? Grin

Shop I think I have the trousers you are talking about Blush, a pair of French Connection chinos in the same colour as the Toast ones? I still have them but they are lighter material and bigger fit. The Toast ones are more fitted on me than on the model so can be worn to work on non meeting days.

Good to see you Blair. That bag is lovely but I have bought 2 bags in the last week so that's me done for bags for about a year!

Beach bag - I use a Land's End bag like this one only with navy trims

BerniceBobsHerHair · 24/06/2015 16:15

Linus DMBL40 did a post on beach bags - any luck here?

BerniceBobsHerHair · 24/06/2015 16:19

Thanks for the skirt links - will probably order a few next month to try. Shop I can see you in the Mango one. I tried it a while back but it was v long on me.

shopafrolic · 24/06/2015 16:19

Yes that's them Lib Blush Grin

LinusDKD · 24/06/2015 16:44

Thanks for all the beach bag recommendations but I just came on to say I ordered this one

Maybe not as glamourous as the other ones but it looks big enough to hold all my crap. Wink

LinusDKD · 24/06/2015 16:50

try again

LinusDKD · 24/06/2015 16:51

Gah I give up. It's the white and pink stripe beach bag by Lime Tree Interiors.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 24/06/2015 17:07

Link works for me Linus. I like it, are you going to get it personalised?

LinusDKD · 24/06/2015 18:02

I am! I don't own anything personalised but in this instance I thought it might be fun.

maradesbois · 24/06/2015 18:16

Evening,

Marsha I've given up caffeine too as wasn't sleeping well. Was up to at least 4 espressos a day which was too much. Nespresso do a really good choice of decaf capsules now though, it's more the ritual of coffee drinking that I enjoy than the caffeine hit. May rethink that once I start my course!

Linus that beach bag looks really nice. I'd definitely get it personalised.

Lib like the trousers, nice colour and shape.

Shop excellent tip! Will try.

to Blair. Hope work calms down a bit soon.

Not sure about my NAP sales order. Really like the Equipment dress but not sure about the rest. Will try on properly tonight and ponder. Have realised that things only work for me if they fit with my existing wardrobe and am keen to wear straight away. The one shoulder dress isn't really doing this for me, although nice think it needs a gold belt to cinch in the waist and looks better with heels than flats. All seems too much faff when I wanted something effortless.

maradesbois · 24/06/2015 18:19

Also meant to say fedup love the look you linked and one well done on your good grade and tk maxx haul. Was it a London one? I tried the Hammersmith store as a lady at the park recommended it but still think the Kensington High St one is best.

LinusDKD · 24/06/2015 19:01

mara you are the queen of personalisation. Wink

I was also very inspired by the chat we had when we had our Mini MU about the course you did so I had a brief look but it seems starting the same course might not be so easy as, even though I have an MA, I don't have the one they require to start the course.

Will look into it a bit more when I feel more up to it....

Fedupnagging · 24/06/2015 20:11

I like the bag you have purchased Linus - also like the landsend one that Lib linked. I did get personalised car mats once just because I was amazed that you could actually get car mats with your name on!

One of these is my beach bag this year - thought I should use it rather than leave it under the bed gathering dust.

I really liked the one shoulder dress Mara so it's a shame you are not keen but no point keeping if unsure.

libertychick · 24/06/2015 21:03

Yes great TKMaxx hunting One. Mara I agree High St Ken branch is excellent - I hardly ever get there unfortunately. Hammersmith is so much better than just about every other West London branch though.

Good beach bag choice Linus.

I'm quitting looking for work dresses - have spend hours trawling various sites and just not finding anything I like. Think I will limp through until the AW stuff hits the rails and maybe buy a couple of things full price.

QueenCardigan · 24/06/2015 22:07

Whoopsie, im a little bit tipsy after drinkng nearly a whole bottle of wine to myself (a class trip looking after 5 boys will do that to you!) and have managed to order a beach bag and a skirt along with suitcases that's I'd been planning on ordering!!!!

shopafrolic · 24/06/2015 22:35

Wish I was tipsy. Am finally on antibiotics Sad but at least I stand a chance of being better for Provence now.
So Magic Erasers Blair why do they disintegrate so quickly? Are they supposed to be a one use thing? Not doing my Eco conscience any good......
It's not my week for things falling apart. I now have a hole in my black Vintage Cotton J Crew tee. They don't last as well as the linen ones that's for sure. Not impressed. Need a GAP code to buy those skinnies Amber and Cranagh recommended. Had loads for the last month and now none when I need them!
John Lewis Clearance is now online BTW.
