Shipping is £6 or £8 odds expedited so not bad if you get a few things

NoMoreMrRight · 19/06/2015 20:22

I find RoseRose has the best prices but, if you want to stay under the £15 limit for UK customs (which includes the £6 delivery fee), you're allocating nearly 50% of the cost of your order to shipping costs... You could spend more to make up for the expensive delivery charges but would then get stung by the £12 (?) Royal Mail admin etc fee.

Unless I'm missing something .... which is very likely, it's been an exhausting week!!Confused

AmazingDisgrace · 19/06/2015 20:46

I've just compared prices with eBay. My order with delivery came to £20.96 on eBay with free delivery and looking at the cheapest prices the same items would've been about £2 more. Oh well a small saving but hey ho. Grin

NoMoreMrRight · 19/06/2015 20:47

Sounds good Amazing!

FrugalFashionista · 19/06/2015 20:48

I use these Nip + Fab pads, £6.45.

Innisfree Honey Serum at an excellent price .... already on my basket Wink

lucysmam · 19/06/2015 21:11

Sorry, been watching Kingsman with dp. Delivery took just shy of two weeks from jolse through their ebay shop iirc NoMore Smile

BitterChocolate · 19/06/2015 21:16

I might try the Body Shop Camomile oil stuff, I'll be passing a shop on Monday. Mind you, when the hemp line first came out and everyone was raving about it I tried the hand cream without patch testing first. Big mistake, I had a nasty case of contact dermatitis that made washing my hands agony for about a week.

squoosh · 19/06/2015 21:18

Don't pay full price. Sign up for their emails and they'll let you know when their next 40% off sale is on. They have them monthly.

squoosh · 19/06/2015 21:18

I think there's 30% off at the moment on the website.

ScrambledSmegs · 19/06/2015 21:20

Ah, thanks Amazing!

AmazingDisgrace · 19/06/2015 21:21

That's good to know LucysMam re Jolse since Ive just bought the CosRX 7 power Whitehead stuff from them.

That's it, I'm hiding my bank card for the rest of the month Blush

lucysmam · 19/06/2015 21:26

Grin I have £7 left from today but it's cash...no more online spends for a while!

TheWombat · 19/06/2015 21:29

I used a NexCare spot patch last night on a forehead monster. Went down beautifully overnight, but re-generated itself during the day - how very Dr Who-esque. I have now reapplied spot patch (a new one obvs) after Innisfree anti-trouble sheet mask, and am busy doing Japanese style patting in front of Doc Martin. I know how to live! Grin

amazing your ebay vs RoseRose calculations are pretty much the same as mine.

I am dedicated to no spend June now but I just love looking at my ever expanding ebay watch list, to which these are the latest addition...

NoMoreMrRight · 19/06/2015 21:36

Thanks Lucy, two weeks is actually not bad at all.

Quick question .... how strict are UK Customs with the £15 set amount? I have a basket on BeautyNetKorea for a total of 24.64 USD which when using Google comes up at £15.52. Should I risk it?

lucysmam · 19/06/2015 21:39

That I don't know, I've only ordered a couple of bits at a time & from three or four sellers so I'm definitely not slapped with a charge!

AmazingDisgrace · 19/06/2015 21:40

I have a HUGE eBay watch list too Wombat and now I have to add those Grin

Ohwhatfuckeryisthis · 19/06/2015 22:22

Hmm, so got the holika red wine sleep mask. I'm not overly impressed. Sticky, smells nice, but nothing amazing in the morning. And tge racoony gold eye patches aren't fantastic. I've had better results with the cheapo collagen ones sold in Boyes. The missha chocolate face wash though is lovely, my skin is really soft, even before serum and cream.

lucysmam · 19/06/2015 22:55

Oh no Sad I have the Holika Holika white wine one queued up to try! Have opened for sniff but not used it yet.

The collagen eye patches in the green packet stay stuck better for me.

I didn't know Boyes did stuff like that, might have a mooch at their make up section next time I go to town.

ScrambledSmegs · 19/06/2015 23:09

Is this the Beauty of Joseon Dynasty cream? Blueprint21 have been very reliable for me, I'm tempted...

wickedfairy · 19/06/2015 23:14

Scrambled - am not sure if that's the one. I have used that seller and they are good, but not sure that's the cream we have talked about..

I have ordered the Joseon dynasty cream, from handmadepeaco on eBay, am awaiting arrival. Will update. Looks similar though but that says made by Mizon....

TheWombat · 19/06/2015 23:19

Scrambled I have been wondering the same thing! Wondered if 'Chosun' was a phonetic spelling interpretation of 'Joseon' but am not sure now.

Who or what is a Boyes?

Ohwhatfuckeryisthis · 19/06/2015 23:24

Boyes is North Eastern cheapo department chain. Generally shite, but sometimes find gems. Can't remember what tge under eye patches are, silver pack.great before night out.

TheWombat · 19/06/2015 23:31

Thank you ohwhatfuckery Flowers - not much chance of a Boyes in darkest Devon then, I guess!

wickedfairy · 20/06/2015 07:04

Wombat - maybe you're right, I hadn't thought of that. The packaging is very similar....
