Day sheet masks = diy

Ipad is so annoying at times.

lucysmam · 19/06/2015 14:29

I want a muji to look around Envy We have no exciting shops.

No parcels for me today but I have ordered sheet masks, the hada labo and these plus a cheap snail serum as my random items.

Have just spied a bigger pack of the cotton pads which might be more cost effective for the sheet mask idea so will add those to my list to try another time.

I left the COSRX A-Sol for the moment - I figure since I have the appletox and holika wine sleeping pack to introduce after next week I have enough to be going on with. When the Hada labo arrives, I'll order the A-Sol - should give me a couple of clear weeks to introduce the HL that way. At least, it works like that in my head Hmm

wickedfairy · 19/06/2015 14:49

WooooooGrin

My Mizon good night sleeping pack arrived as has my scinic propolis serum!! Will try one out tonight!

I only ordered probably about 10 days ago, so pretty quick postage! One of them was from Beautynet Korea - their eBay shop. Still waiting on an order from their website placed at the same time. Exciting stuff

wickedfairy · 19/06/2015 14:51

Actually - have just checked the list on my phone and my Mizon good night mask was ordered from their website direct. That is my second order from them, both of which arrived quickly!

I am waiting on the skinfood cleansing oil from their eBay site.

mowglik · 19/06/2015 15:29

Re which order to layer products I think it's vit C > BHA > AHA going from lower pH to higher pH

Not sure how hado labo affects pH but the 15min wait to put vit C on does make my skin feel tight even with oily skin so I just use that first Confused

Sloachie · 19/06/2015 16:27

Been trying to keep up with this thread but it moves fast! So I'm sorry if I'm asking an obvious question here... BHA and AHA treatments - can you alternate? It should you use both on same days? I have mistakenly ordered CosRX Power blackhead stuff AND the Whitehead stuff!!
Can I use both?? I have very oily, congested skin right now. And I'm old.

lucysmam · 19/06/2015 16:29

I think I'd use the aha in a morning and bha at night Slouchie, or the other way around. But the waiting times would be forever using them at the same time Grin

FrugalFashionista · 19/06/2015 17:01

Just wanted to link a UK-based source for COSRX!!!

Cosrx AHA BHA clarifying toner for adjusting you pH before actives

Cosrx Whitehead power - glycolic acid

I alternate between glycolic acid and salicylic acid. Running out of salicylic soon... I should have ordered my products from her, totally fed up waiting, ordered my COSRX from Korea 20 days ago and they are still not here. She has Leaders' masks too!

Loving this thread. Real life way too busy with the final crunch of the schoolyear and lots of goodbyes! But tonight I am going nowhere so am just about to put on a sheet mask for ultimate relaxation!

Thanks lucys

Maybe I'll try alternate nights to begin with... Although I haven't recieved them yet! frugal that UK source may come in handy if I like it, thanks Smile

Ohwhatfuckeryisthis · 19/06/2015 17:40

My parcel came! Missha safe essence 45 sunblock and chocolate latte foaming face wash. The sunblock smells lovely-like an expensive cream but can't put my finger on it. And a nice wedge of samples, innisfree Apple juicy cleansing oil, mizon water max Aqua gel cream ski food black sugar serum and a mystery one, think it's a serum.
Remind me, muji is in Covent garden? Going in two weeks, so may make a run for it.

bigbuttons · 19/06/2015 17:44

I use my BHA in the morning and aha at night. On the 50 shades blog she uses both am and pm. She waits 30 mins between each application.
I have ordered the a-sol. The fifty shades lady uses it as a Prep for the acids
I will get the black and white head ones.
They get great reviews everywhere.
I think what I would do is use them before my vitamin c. Although I'm still very confused as to the order of Vitamin c and acids. At the moment I cleanse, acid then serum.in the evenings I use tretinoin after the acid then wait an hour or so before doing the rest of the routine. I have to fit my nacinamide serum in there somewhere!

ScrambledSmegs · 19/06/2015 17:59

I think the Muji store is still on Long Acre, but according to Caroline Hirons the skincare range is solely in Selfridges concessions for 3 months from mid-may. www.carolinehirons.com/2015/05/muji-skincare.html?m=1

However the cotton wool pads are fantastic, and that trick with separating them into 4 is one I need to try tonight. Plus so much useful storage and tools for skincare - spatulas, sheet masks (dehydrated), eye mask sheets - all at a good price. So still worth heading to a Muji even if you can't get to Selfridges.

Sloachie · 19/06/2015 18:03

I'm right at the very start of all of this so the vitamin c is not even on my radar yet! I'll catch up eventually though.

Will really need to sort spf once I get going with acids. I I have ordered Biore... Blush

FrugalFashionista · 19/06/2015 18:08

Sloachie I started with glycolic acid after the evening cleanse and was so happy with the results that I am still doing it. I now alternate it with salicylic pads to keep my pores clean. Starting slowly is good, some people are very sensitive and overdoing acids can cause overexfoliation. You'll know soon how much you will need!

I am going to mix things up at bit...dp's mam has just taken the girls for the night so I'm going to sheet mask after a peaceful morning of mooching on t'interweb Grin (that's assuming I don't have to walk down for dd2 in an hour Confused )

AmazingDisgrace · 19/06/2015 19:07

rubyrubyshop have a good 50% off sale on their website at the moment. I've just ordered some Missha eye cream and a couple of other bits

NoMoreMrRight · 19/06/2015 19:37

Hada Labo ordered from the ebay seller Lucy recommended Wink.

Just browsing on all the different vendor sites comparing those products that I would like to get and I'm finding that: W2Beauty are for many products nearly double the price of RoseRoseShop (which has competitive pricing but shipping is coming up quite high sadly). Yesstyle has good prices on sheet masks (My Beauty Diary ones that I've been looking for) but they come in bundles of 10 at about £10 so not good for me as a newbie to AB. BeautyNetKorea seems to be the best option I've come across so far with free shipping and pricing comparable to RoseRose. Still have a couple of ebay vendors to check out (do they tend to send samples too as the bigger sites do btw?)

Whilst browsing I came across this Mizon Hyaluronic acid which sounds great for my dry skin; not sure whether you would use it after the Hada Labo or instead of though?

Nearly done reading Thread 1... slowly getting there!!

ScrambledSmegs · 19/06/2015 19:48

That's funny, on eBay (rubyrubyshop) and on their roseroseshop website I can't see any mention of a 50% sale. Am I looking at the correct site?

FrugalFashionista · 19/06/2015 19:57

MrRight I think hyaluronic acid is hyaluronic acid (a powerful humectant) but I'd use either or, not both! See the Mizon reviews on Peach & Lily! Sadly mega expensive on their site!

OP posts:
FrugalFashionista · 19/06/2015 20:00

Also did you see this article on hyaluronic acid (Beautybrains via 50 Shades of Snail).

GrinAndTonic · 19/06/2015 20:07

So tell me about acid pads. I'm going to start hunting some down. I have found the nip and fab ones online for $29 Shock. Are there other brands?

NoMoreMrRight · 19/06/2015 20:07

Thank you Frugal, will have a look at those links once the DC are in bed later. Seeing as I ordered the Hada Labo it'll have to wait for the time being...

lucysmam · 19/06/2015 20:15

NoMore, check out jolse_cosmetics on ebay - reasonable prices, free postage on most items & loads of samples. They also have a website - Jolse.com

AmazingDisgrace · 19/06/2015 20:16

www.rubyrubyshopk.com scrambled lots of stuff 50% off. You don't get free shipping but some great savings make up for it

NoMoreMrRight · 19/06/2015 20:16

Thanks Lucy. How are their delivery times though? I recall someone saying they took forever to receive their orders ....
