Continuing on from here.

Summer and holidays are coming, and the Voguettes will be more than ready!

All welcome and the more links the better but please don't mention House of Colour. Wink

What did DD buy Dry?

shopafrolic · 27/05/2015 23:39

50% off 50 at atterley rd including birkenstocks

QueenCardigan · 28/05/2015 08:09

Morning. Villa for me. I'm not a fan of hotels with dc.

Total delivery fail yesterday. I paid for the next day delivery from HOF but it didn't come and the next order was alledgely delivered but is nowhere to be seen Hmm.

mara welcome back, lovely to see you.

AmberNectarine · 28/05/2015 08:35

I'm all about the luxe hotel. I don't do self catering, with the exception of Center Parcs (and even then we eat out every day).

Drywhiteplease · 28/05/2015 09:19

shop high waisted distressed denim shorts and a top. Saving for today.
Ootd Stan smiths, skinny jimmies, asos navy / White cotton sweater with red heart elbow patches, camel coat.

QueenCardigan · 28/05/2015 11:16

Oh yes amber life's too short to cook at centre parcs especially when you can eat in relative peace at hucks whilst the dc are on the soft play!

The fashion gods have decided that I don't need a dress for tomorrow night. The next order seems to have vanished and is now out of stock thanks lurkers. The jaeagar is lovely and I want to love it on me but sadly there's no waist so I look too shapeless and blocky. Never mind, I do have plenty of stuff I can wear.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 28/05/2015 11:16

Morning all :)

Selfridges have got a 50% sale preview on and I've gone a bit mental with the credit card (thanks novice!)
Red DVF
Hugo Boss
Grey DVF
Coral Armani (had to go for an 8 as no 10, but this was my favourite, I don't really expect it to fit! Sad)
Black Armani
I'm hoping to keep 1 or 2.

After all the moaning about H&M the order was delivered this morning (to my mum Hmm) which I don't think is too bad.

Fantastic Blair impressive!

I really want to start getting stuff and am hanging around for Liberty to do preview so I can spend voucher and have a mooch around.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 28/05/2015 11:22

That's a shame QueenC but always nice to save yourself some money to spend on other things!

Morning!

Marsha I love a luxe hotel but prefer self-catering for anything more than a few days mainly because of having to eat out all the time in hotels. We have leading hotels of the world card where you can earn points towards free nights so tend to stick with those ones.

QueenC and Amber please tell me about CP as going for first time in a couple of weeks (broadening my horizons Grin). Was planning on taking food as thought there wouldn't be anywhere decent there but sounds like it's ok? It's a group thing with my siblings and dc so should be fun.

Blair wow impressive Novice-style shopping. Love the red dvf. Are you after something for a particular occasion?

QueenC shame about the dresses but sounds like you're not too bothered. Keep your cash for another time.

Have today to myself so doing a few chores then going for a Thai deep tissue massage, hurts but feels so good afterwards.

MarshaBrady · 28/05/2015 12:44

That's sounds nice Mara - the leading hotel card.

QueenC that would be perfect with a better waist I agree.

Thanks for holiday info. I loved our last five star one. Everything sparkled, and was so easy. The dc loved going out for every meal, but the food bill was so high. I think if the villa was spacious and with own pool near beach I'd be very happy - I just have to do that hunt thing.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 28/05/2015 13:00

We did half board on honeymoon (was a leading hotels of the world one actually) and that was perfect. The only trouble was the wine bill Grin

Marsha we're going on a family hol in Aug to France, through Owners Direct, that's a good site for the villa hunt.

mara they're for work! Red is prob a bit daring, but I think I could get away with it. Also I had to order a US6 and it runs small so may not fit anyway.

Fab dresses blair.
mara I certainly wouldn't call the food at cp decent but it's easy with the kids. You don't feel as if you need to keep them quiet. My favourite is Strada (pizza chain) but the kids love Hucks (American diner) as there's soft play. The pancake house is good for lunch (never had dinner there). You need to book restaurants in advance though. Which one are you going to? The supermarket has pretty much everything but I tend to take some stuff myself like cereals, fresh fruit, tea bags etc.
marsha we've booked our summer hols through james villas this year. I decided to take the easy option of booking villa, flights and car hire from them othetwise I was losing hours to the Internet trying to save money and do it separately.

Cranagh · 28/05/2015 13:11

That's annoying about the delivery, QueenC. What about wearing your Westwood dress?

Gorgeous stuff, Blair.

I didn't get the Selfridges sale preview, boo.

Have ordered a few things, white Current/Elliot fling jeans (20% off at Question Air with the code FIDAY), Barbour (good for walks in Ireland!) and a DVF tote because I am fed up with my Le Pliage.

Hi to Mara!

Fedupnagging · 28/05/2015 13:12

Fab dresses Blair - love the grey DVF. As you are getting a 50% reduction it's not so bad if you keep all of them

Shame your shopping wasn't successful Queen, all very frustrating but at least you have other outfits to chose from.

We prefer self catering for our main summer holiday for many reasons - can't be arsed to dress for breakfast being the main one! Oh and the dc's don't actually get out of bed until after midday. We eat out mostly but dh will do the odd BBQ and I may be moved to throw bread and cheeses at everyone from time to time.

Enjoy your massage Mara.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 28/05/2015 13:36

Stop it fedup! they were nearly £900 in total and DH got a security check text from Barclaycard afterwards Grin

OP posts:
MarshaBrady · 28/05/2015 14:35

Ha Blair security check - very vogue Grin

QueenC will check it out, sounds good. I like easy booking too, most of all.

Fedup ha love throw some cheeses and read around.

Lovely links Cranagh

QueenCardigan · 28/05/2015 14:59

Love the barbour cranagh. I won't wear the westwood tomorrow as its only an indian we're going for, albeit a posh one, but an indian all the same.

No fashion today. I'm in painting clothes but have finally finished. Can't wait to get the carpet next week.

shopafrolic · 28/05/2015 16:22

Loads going on here so not much time but thanks Voguettes for blazer tips. The Zara one is a keeper. Fab find Flowers

libertychick · 28/05/2015 17:07

Great tote Cranagh. My meetings are on so not bringing DD next week but really looking forward to meeting your DD Smile

DH has flu, (the real one, not man flu Wink). He has been so ill the last couple of days, as in, lying in bed with his hands on his head the headache is so bad - I was googling brain tumours Smile. Seems to be coming out of it now thankfully. Good job I can work from home - DD has had more TV in the last couple of days than she would normally have in a month. Thank goodness for cbeebees free childcare

Fab dresses Blair the coral one is stunning, fingers crossed it fits.

shopafrolic · 28/05/2015 17:35

Love that tote Cranagh v tempted......

Fedupnagging · 28/05/2015 19:04

Nice bag Cranagh. Like the jacket too and not a bad price for a Barbour.

This is a lovely bag but am wondering if the decimal point is in the wrong place? Hmm

Hope everything is ok Shop?

Get well soon Lib dh.

Am meeting some friends for drinks soon. Am thinking white jeans and teal oversize batwing top from Cos with a large dragonfly necklace. Possibly some wedge heels if I can pursuade ds to give me a lift.

A friend was wearing a pair of aquazurra dupes from New Look yesterday. Will link if I can find them as they looked really good.

MarshaBrady · 28/05/2015 19:08

Blimey at that price. The Row is one of the most expensive labels out there. A jumper at £700. I was surprised when I found out it was the Olsen twins.

Lib hope he feels better soon.

Shop good shopping.

Stokey · 28/05/2015 20:50

Gorgeous dresses Blair, I'm sure they'll look great.

I really can't decide between villa and hotel Marsha. We're going away for a fortnight and are doing both, a week by ourselves at a hotel and a week with another family in a villa. I like villas with other families so you can share the cooking and get drunk together in the evenings Grin. A villa with a cook would be ideal!

Welcome back Mara, nice to "see" you! I was quite disappointed by the food at CP, I'd do more self catering if we went again, just quite junky, not much fresh stuff. There was a tapas place but wasn't great. Still the dc loved the pool - as did my friend & I who left our DHs cooking a roast dinner and went back in the evening to do the big kids bits.

Drywhiteplease · 28/05/2015 22:11

Fashion disaster in Brighton today, reminiscent of Marsha's tunagate. Bought a jar of almond butter don't ask dropped and smashed, all over new Fossil brown bag Shock Sad stank of peanut butter on train home and big greasy mark on my new bag Sad. Apart from that a great day and fantastic veggy food at the best veggie despite being a big meat eater restaurant I've EVER been to, Terre a Terre, highly recommend.
