Does anyone like the way she dresses, or is she generally classed as quite boring on here?

Def hair extensions - friend has the same hairdresser

WipsGlitter · 10/05/2015 16:50

There have been photos whee you can see the extensions. It's more a weave than big glued in ones. Plus a great blow dry.

ScottishDiblet · 10/05/2015 16:51

Nooooooo surely it's her own hair and not extensions?! I am in shock? (Why do I care?!).

TheHappinessTrap · 10/05/2015 16:55

I would be shocked if she had extensions! I love long hair and would think it would be awful for her to go for a funky chop! There is no way she a10/12. Im a 14/ 12. I'm guessing she's a 6/8.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 10/05/2015 17:11

She has extensions for sure, there have been photos. My friend has ones dyed the same colour as her hair, they look amazing clipped in underneath her real hair, give it lots of volume.

WipsGlitter · 10/05/2015 17:23

celebritynewsandstyle.com/princess-kate-hair-extensions-or-a-scar-112/

You can see them here. I don't think it's a scar.

Twinklestar2 · 10/05/2015 17:25

Stevie - what shoes do you think she should wear?

OP posts:
member · 10/05/2015 17:26

Her clothes are generally appropriate for her role. She's always been conservative but she has become more staid since her marriage. It's not just those nude shoes that make me despair, those black suede courts do nothing for her legs. Thankfully those wedge espadrilles haven't been seen for a while. It's not as though she doesn't have the money to limit herself to 2/3 colours that go with most things.

BitOutOfPractice · 10/05/2015 17:27

Twinkle it was me that mentioned the bloody nude courts first...

I don't know. Flats, sandals. Different colour courts. Just not those bloody nude courts, alternated with the identical courts in navy!

BitOutOfPractice · 10/05/2015 17:27

x post with member. Her shoes are just appalling and it's like she's only got 2 or 3 pairs! I just don't get it!

MargoReadbetter · 10/05/2015 17:31

Someone mentioned the yellow dress. C'mon, yellow has been in all magazines and shops, she's following fashion not setting it. She's no P Diana.

Twinklestar2 · 10/05/2015 17:33

I'd love to see Kate wearing something like queen Letizia is wearing in this article. Love the hair and jacket! us.hellomagazine.com/royalty/1201505084558/this-week-s-best-royal-style-kate-middleton-queen-letizia-queen-maxima/

OP posts:
Sansarya · 10/05/2015 17:51

Yes, Queen Letitzia and also Mary of Denmark look appropriate for their roles and also manage to be very stylish and glam. There's nothing staid about their outfits. And then there's Maxima of the Netherlands who is in a league of her own!

amothersplaceisinthewrong · 10/05/2015 17:58

I thought she looked good on leaving hospital, very good. .Yes, she had a team of stylists, but in her position who wouldn't have!

I remember one of the first things I did after giving birth was have a shower, do my hair and put some make up on! It made me feel a whole heap better! I was also back in jeans a week after giving birth as I only put on 21 lbs and lost 16 at the birth (10lb baby)

Stevie77 · 10/05/2015 17:59

What Bit said basically. If it has to be courts then just something a bit different, courts with cut outs, with cuff detail, peep-toe...anything That doesn't look so much like office courts.

Lweji · 10/05/2015 18:02

She had a baby, FGS.

She had a nice dress for someone who had just come out of maternity.
For some people it's too boring, for others it's too white. There will always be people who don't like whatever anyone is using.
She could hardly be wearing fitted trousers, like Letizia, with an enlarged belly. I find that outfit too old for Kate. Different people, different styles, different opinions.
Let Kate be what Kate wants to be like.
To quote the words from my fellow countryman "the dogs bark and the caravan goes by".

She must have a will of iron to stay that thin.
She is too thin

Some people are always thin/skinny without "dieting".
Some people may be even be "too thin" by comparison to the largely overweight population, but not for their own bodies.
Would you like to be considered as "too fat" publicly, by people who know nothing about your eating habits, or how you feel personally?

Twinklestar2 · 10/05/2015 18:26

Stevie - ah yes, peep toe courts! I do like those Grin

OP posts:
OverAndAbove · 10/05/2015 18:35

I think she looks lovely. I mean, if you can't wear a "mumsy" dress when you're on the hospital steps clutching your newborn, then hell, when can you?!

Re skinniness, she's certainly thin. She's obviously healthy though, judging by the fact she's popped out a couple of babies in pretty short order, and bounced right back. I'd pay good money to have her bone structure and her metabolism! And obviously her chef, tailor and PA...

MamaLazarou · 10/05/2015 18:48

She would be pretty if she had a top lip.

JoanHickson · 10/05/2015 18:57

Kate has her Mum's mouth and jaw. You have what nature gives you. She has control of her hair style, clothes and makeup not her genetics.

HerRoyalNotness · 10/05/2015 19:00

I'd like to see her dress more like princess Mary who is both stylish and elegant. Also in the papers today one of the godmothers of the Monaco twins had an outfit on that I thought KM would suit. She does tend towards the boring and most of what she wears borders in frumpy.

She often looks her best with hair up and a hat

Madbengalmum · 10/05/2015 19:03

I think she looks nice, but only nice.
I think she tends to dress too old for her age TBH.

Lweji · 10/05/2015 19:20

I'd like to see her dress more like princess Mary

And the next person would like to see her dress more like X, Y, and Z.

So?

MargoReadbetter · 10/05/2015 19:31

Who is princess Mary?

I don't really care what she dresses like. It suits her new lifestyle and, possibly, her taste. And if it doesn't, who cares, really, worse problems in the world than having to dress boringly because that's what MIL wants you to do. Plenty of lawyers, for example, who dress boringly for work. Maybe one day she'll find her voice, maybe not.

Twinklestar2 · 10/05/2015 19:34

I just looked at the pics of the christening - love Charlene's gloves!!
