Oh MI email me too? (I am going to spend the weekend with WAFs.....)

motherinferior · 28/05/2015 13:22

BD can you email me? Have lost your email number. I'm assuming this is re comments on WAF book?

chibi · 28/05/2015 13:25

Can I join this gang?

I am 40 and my neck has started to look that way but I insist on trying to look good anyway for some reason

MrsSchadenfreude · 28/05/2015 13:26

Hello Chibi, welcome to the Hags' Ball. Grin

chibi · 28/05/2015 13:32

Thank you Mrs Scadenfruede, I promise to be as sporadically amusing as I can

Grin

Today in the S&B arena, I am mostly trying to work out how to manage my terrible new hair

motherinferior · 28/05/2015 13:36

I am taking my hair to the hairdresser on Sat. (WAF, it is the Posh New Place in FH. I shall report back if it's good.)

I don't understand what I'm supposed to be doing in my assignment. Floundering somewhat, and awaiting that lightbulb moment. It may not arrive.

Rosebag · 28/05/2015 14:08

Herbs did you want chasing off MN? Shoo. Grin Sorry you're bogged down with so much work. The end is in sight.

Hello Chibi Welcome! We are quite nuts as I'm sure you've realised, with the occasional nod to S&B. Sorry you're upset about your hair. Was it the post with the pic of your face scatched out in red? Or was that someone else?

MI glad date of DMs appointment is now more convenient. You sound like you are going to be amazing in the choir concert...of course you can't miss the dress run. I feel very left out ....the choir that I resigned from has well and truly moved on. They have changed their venue, the one I spent hours finding and negotiating and I am not invited to the socials. To be expected but it still hurts.

WAF do I get a read? And what about yours MI? Great stuff! you've finished!

Good luck Rudy. Just bought DD two from Asos. Somewhat cheap but quite pleased. Will link.

chibi · 28/05/2015 14:12

Yes, that was me, what a doll I am

Thank you all for the warm welcome

Rosebag · 28/05/2015 14:13

demure

more promy

Rosebag · 28/05/2015 14:16

Ah Chibi I didn't think the hair was so bad...but then I am ancient compared with one of your tender years. At the moment both DD and I have wild beach hair but I don't care as we are not home!

bigTillyMint · 28/05/2015 14:49

Hi ChibiSmile You can't possibly look haggish yet!

Good Luck Rudy - DD wants a maxi dress for her prom and has her eye on an old one of mine, but it would need a lot of altering. She can't find anything she likes online.
The two you linked to are lovely Rose, but she wants longHmm

MollyAir · 28/05/2015 14:52

Welcome, chibi!

NU, my fave version of that saying is: "Grandchildren are your reward for not killing your children . I have soooo earnt mine.

Auriga · 28/05/2015 15:21

Welcome Chibi

re hair

DM:your hair is shorter than usual, isn't it?
Me: Yes
DM: Did you want it like that?
Me: Yes

Auriga · 28/05/2015 15:22

Murdering

wordassociationfootball · 28/05/2015 15:31

Hello Chibi! Sorry you don't like your hair.

I told my hairdresser she'd made me look like Angela Merkell and cried last time I went Blush She is lovely though (hd not AM, don't know her) and seems happy to have me back. It was the roundy brush volumey blow dry. I just think it looks yuk on me.

Rose - My email account says it sent you the pdf of my nov on 26th April with one updated chapter on 12th May. No receivey? (worrying)

I think kurdering your parents isn't a bad idea Auriga. Makes me think of stirring them in a big pot in a curds and whey, way.

MI is probably right I need to pick up the pace at the beginning of my book (although couldn't I just tell agents to read it quickly Grin)

Herbs, hoping for switched on bulbage to occur for you.

motherinferior · 28/05/2015 15:42

I was once told by a hairdresser's receptionist that my hair/hairstyle was "like Anthea Turner's". Back in the day when Anthea was all wholesome and generally off-putting. I took my custom elsewhere.

Rosebag · 28/05/2015 15:51

waf can you PM me your email address and I'll do a search of my inbox. Might have gone into spam or the bottomless pit that is the regular failure of my BT yahoo account at the moment. Sorry if you thought I didn't care....couldn't be further from the truth.

Grin Grin Grin at kurdering. I have not the slightest desire for grandchildren yet. I do not want to be a MIL either, for the moment. Got too much grief going on with the current generation. And why would I want to start babysitting all over again when I've just been able to leave my lot to their miserable selves? I'm sure I'll grow out of it though....

MollyAir · 28/05/2015 16:00

Auriga, yes; it's called a legacy .

hattymattie · 28/05/2015 16:01

My parents don't aseem overly interested in their grandchildrenSad. I, on the other hand shall be totally invasive.Smile

Re Hair - I remember when I had my hair cut at about twelve years old. The stylist admired her handiwork and said "that's a great Rod Stewart haircut" I burst into tears. I always have and always will hate everything about Rod.

MollyAir · 28/05/2015 16:06

I like teasing dh about our putative dgc, because he resolutely refuses to look into the future.

So I say things like: "I'm worried; is five too young to buy our granddaughters their first pony?"

Hahahaha. Let him imagine a future, dammit. With horses.

wordassociationfootball · 28/05/2015 16:08

Rose, I would never think you didn't care Smile

MrsSchadenfreude · 28/05/2015 16:22

Auriga - my mother's version of that goes:

Oh you've had your hair cut.

Yes, yes I have.

Do you like it that short/that colour?

Yes, I do.

Well I suppose that's all that matters then, isn't it? Confused

The worst haircut I ever had made me look like Bruno from Fame (it was the 80s).

I am tempted to spend an obscene amount of money that I don't have on my hair, and go back to being blonde. Because no matter what colour I dye it at home, it stays resolutely ginger.
