yes it will be the oil cleansing on the eyelashes. I have had amazing results just smearing a bit of castor oil on my lashes before bad.

I have been experimenting with using 70% glycolic acid peel on my hands, knees and feet. there is no sting as the skin is tough! The difference though is amazing. I treat it like a leave on lotion. It has softened the skin up to an unbelievable degree. The lines on my skin are disappearing by the day! Honestly, I haven't had hands like these for at least 15 years!

Can someone advise me with my new oily skin please?

Actually, I wouldn't say oily, it's more shiny but it doesn't feel oily to touch.

Im using

Am

Cleanse- superdrug/ cetaphill
Acid toner- FAB and clearasil
Serum- Either Blance hydrating, Aldi hydrating or Loreal serum (I use two)
Moisturiser if needed but not using it much now
sunsense factor 50

PM
Double cleanse
Retin A gel

Foundation- cheapie colour match Rimmel.
Vichy- dermanblend to cover spots/scars
Rimmel powder

I love that my skin is not too dry of flaky anymore and it looks better for it but I am not loving having a shiny face after a few hours of wearing make up.

I use a lot of SPF which is really moisturising so maybe I need to get one that is more drying? How much SPF do people put on their face? Or maybe a better foundation or maybe I should cut down on the serum?

My skin looks better except for the huge cystic spot I have on my chin but I think that is hormonal or the purge from the retin A. The rest of my skin is clear (except from the scars) which is great. The cystic spot is a big un and very very red and angry. I hope this one won't add to my list of scars now I am on acid and retin.

Hi Edge, I am exactly the same - have had dry dehydrated skin for 20 years and now there is shine - I have started just using my Bobbi Brown SPF 50 Face base and blotting papers throughout the day. The ones I have are Bobbi Brown, which I got a Xmas as a Christmas present from someone who didn't realise I had dry skin - so grateful for them now!!! However have just googled the price and at £18 I won't necessarily buy them myself as I am sure there are cheeper ones in Boots!!

Was wondering if Clinique City Block would be better???

Teladi · 07/05/2015 15:00

MrsMillions I'm also interested in airport bargains/recommendations, my husband is in Heathrow Terminal 5 every week and I'll be flying through T2/T3 soon too. I'm flying to the USA so I might have to read up and see if there is anything exciting I can buy over there.

Teladi - I am T3 on Saturday and am arriving the full two hours ahead of departure to scope out!! Also as per someone up post (sorry can't remember who) mentioned that the place to go is Sephora - my list is obscene - also Walgreens apparently is good, and whole foods - apparently Wholefoods there - not like whole foods here!!!!!!

Teladi · 07/05/2015 15:17

Yes I have experienced Sephora before but it was somewhat wasted on me due to my lack of skincare. This time will be different!

plumstone · 07/05/2015 15:20

Me too Teladi - I have a list, I have cash and a whole afternoon to waste - beyond excited!!!!!

RitaOrange · 07/05/2015 15:29

I have an oily Tzone and while Im liking the glowy cheeks, Im using one of the dry gel SPF- Vichy/LRP both do one.

I am starting to get used to waking up to great skin Shock
And like U2, I'm so glowy that I'm newly a bit oily too, just in the T zone, have never been before, so may have to adjust things a bit. Right now just powdering down my T zone twice a day but there might be other solutions. Has anyone found any?

I may or may not have ordered a bunch of Innisfree sheet masks directly from Korea as they had a 2 for 1 offer (things move fast there, cannot find that any more to share a link). They cost so little that I can risk customs. It's almost 30C here so anything cooling sounds lovely.

Bustle I'll definitely try that snail bee essence, dealing with the same issues (no new acne for ages but still some PIH from past breakouts). Snail goo products also feel fab after a long hot day. For people curious about Korean. this snail cream might be a good intro product. Close to what we are used to, inexpensive, and nicely formulated.

I have a girl crush on Alicia Yoon. She has extremely dry, probably atopic skin, so worth googling what she uses on her skin if normal products don't feel moisturizing enough. She keeps mentioning a fascinating product called snow melting cream. Will try this when summer is over.

Bigbuttons and Sangria, I do have a serious perfume habit - and know how to get 4ml Guerlain boutique samples Wink In summer, however, I wear the super light Aqua Allegorias, Figue Iris and Nerolia Bianca. Weirdly, in cosmetics, I prefer very subtle perfumong or no scent at all.

VeryStressedMum · 07/05/2015 16:48

I've been using retin a for a few weeks and a retinol treatment and I think my skin looks worse! Not peeling but a few small dry patches and lots of red patches. My face looks dehydrated and I think the lines are more pronounced. I'm hoping this is temporary, and which products should I be using to get some glow and plumpness to my face??

VeryStressedMum · 07/05/2015 16:51

Also, I'm using Nip+Fab glycolic pads and salicylic pads, and while I do like them maybe they are not strong enough as they don't seem to be clearing my congested skin. I don't have spots but pores/sebaceous filaments etc. What is the acid supposed do? (Maybe it's doing it's job and I don't realise it).

I had my eyebrows done yesterday, the lady doing it asked me if I'd recently had a facial as my skin looked so good! Am also getting used to being squeaky clean and mega soft at the same time.

In a similar way to big buttons I'm putting retin a on my hands, one hand a night so will see if I can see a difference. I'll need to order some more soon, has anyone got a link to Geoff and his pharmaceuticals?

CindyEcstacy · 07/05/2015 18:14

I think it salicylic acid that's supposed to be good for congested pores. I've been using Nip and Fab glycolic pads until yesterday - Just started on Stridex pads (2% salicylic) same strength as Paula's choice bha toner

Will report back. They made my skin feel nice but the Nip and fab pads have already worked wonders!

MrsMillions · 07/05/2015 18:18

Oh Teladi I'm jealous of Heathrow and USA!!

Sallystyle · 07/05/2015 18:51

I might try the clinique SPF when I get paid. I had used it before and found it too drying but my skin was very dry and flaky then.

Sallystyle · 07/05/2015 18:52

And something has caused two blackheads on my cheeks and I never get them.

I think it must be the SPF, although sunsense is meant to be good.

lbnblbnb · 07/05/2015 19:09

I would like a link too please - I have searched but not sure I found the right one!

VeryStressedMum · 07/05/2015 19:18

U2 I got sunsense but it made my face itchy and started to get a few spots, so I switched to Anthelios spf 50 and it's been great so far.

Sallystyle · 07/05/2015 19:30

Did you get the fluid or the melt in cream?

Sallystyle · 07/05/2015 19:31

I would also like the link to Geoff please.
