For sunshine, Stans and pretty prints. Pale denim or white broderie.

Whatever you like for Spring, high st or designer.

Grin Shop. I think being sick is good really, gets it out of your system. Hopefully the hangover won't be as bad.

Bernice great outfit! I am very interested in how your style day goes as I think we have similar tastes. Like Blair I am struggling with the romantic classic tag - at first I thought it was ok but so far while I get the classic bit (bit of structure, clean lines etc) the romantic bit has me baffled. I can look frumpy and/or boring very easily.

BTW Blair do you still have the sheet they gave you about romantic classic, I seem to have lost mine? If you do would you mind doing a copy for me?

QueenC I love the dress you posted for me earlier today.

One sounds like DS had a great day and I agree it would be hard to put you into a style category - maybe same as Amber though, dramatic gamine?

Dry if you are considering a style day really check out the consultant. I think any of them can do the colours but the style is much more subjective IMO. My consultant couldn't really translate the romantic classic thing for me. She is RC herself and kept showing me Phase 8 dresses with waterfall cardis and big belts worn on the hip Confused. I could see how someone might put me in that as it's the type of shape that would flatter my curvy hips and hide my bum but I would cry if that's what I had to wear all the time Sad.

Karbea once you get going you really go for it don't you? Grin. Excellent holiday shopping and wow on the clear out.

QueenCardigan · 26/04/2015 21:57

one I reckon you may be some sort of gamine/ingenue/dramatic.

QueenCardigan · 26/04/2015 22:02

Yes, there's one thing telling you what would look good but totally another relating it to latest trends and what's in fashion. That's why I rate hopefully as you know she's intetested in fashion iyswim. She's never going to put you in an outdated waterfall cardi and belt on the hips but would suggest something younger and trendier.

Karbea · 26/04/2015 22:07

I think the style is so much more subjective, I knew regardless of what she said I wouldn't change my style much. I did go back to my style guide when buying Ts the other day to see what neckline I should go for, but I couldn't find it :/
I'm not sure id do the style day if I knew what it was really like before I did it. I got a lot from the colours session and it will save me money and time.
Whereas I doubt the style day will really alter my choices.

muddlingalongquitenicely · 26/04/2015 22:08

What a day! Car shopping this morning finally found one DH liked. Picking it up wednesday ready for trip to cheshire that evening. Home for a bbq couple of glasses of processco now relaxing catching up with thread and links.

Loving the bag linked for me!!

Drywhiteplease · 26/04/2015 22:18

liberty I'm curious but I'm happy to let MNV influence me with style ideas.

Fedup and Muddling do your boys have a yr11 prom ? Have just bought DS a dinner jacket. He's so chuffed ....insisted on cufflinks shirt and a real bow tie my son has class Grin funny how into tailoring he is my genes and I'm so EXCITED because I've received some rugby ball, gold cufflinks Not on the High St to give him on the night.....he'll be made up I'm terrible at keeping secrets though, just wanted to give them to him tonight
Imagine how excited I'll be when its DDs turn!!!!!!!

muddlingalongquitenicely · 26/04/2015 22:25

He does have a prom but he doesnt seem that bothered about it. I keep asking about it and dont get the info back. He was going to go with a group of mates but they sorted out a limo and forgot they asked him and its full now i think that has upset him going.

OneLittleLady · 26/04/2015 22:43

hmm, I struggle most with the idea of the style days as I just KNOW they'd want to put me as romantic because of my shape and while I appreciate lux fabric and the like, I can't see myself in that style at all. I'd miss my cartoon tees and my quirky prints too much i think and id ignore them anyway and just keep doing what im doing

Topazandpearl · 26/04/2015 22:55

I can see that would upset him muddling. It was probably just teenage thoughtlessness. Can he form a group with some others? My DS went with three others in a taxi and felt 'cooler' than those in limos.

YY to the self-tie bow tie Dry my son has class too and Yy to being even more excited when it was DD's turn!

mazj4cks · 27/04/2015 06:50

Morning ladies. shop how are you feeling today?!

Weigh in time:- SW 12 3.5
Wk1- 11 12

My aim is to lose 2lbs this week. Let's see how that goes!Confused

I've been looking around for short sleeved shirts, casual loose ones but can only find a couple in Zara that I like. I don't like to spend a lot as the kids tend to wreck them but wondered if anyone had any recommendations of where to get any.
Smile

shopafrolic · 27/04/2015 07:03

Morning Mazjacks - not feeling too bad. Would like to point out that I was sick after our guests left not while they were here Grin
Can you explain the numbers you're posting? I'm confused.what is SW?
Not sure in short sleeved shirts - any in GAP? Will keep an eye out.

Drywhiteplease · 27/04/2015 07:45

"start weight" Shop

Muddling typical bloody thoughtless teenagers....hope he gets something sorted

shopafrolic · 27/04/2015 07:50

Wow Maz so you've lost 5.5lbs in a week? Brilliant :)

mazj4cks · 27/04/2015 09:17

Yeah I'm very chuffed. Although i think it's normally a bit of water loss too so prob only really a couple of lbs. but still chuffed. Although just googled my ideal weight for my age and height and it says 10st 2lbs!! I don't think I'll be getting down to that! The last time I went down to that weight I looked like a lollipop...my head looked out of proportion to my body so my aim is 11st but if I can get to 10.10 I'll be very happy as that was my 'pre-kids' weight! shop you prob puked up most of it then! If I was sick I'd be a write off for about a week Grin

BerniceBobsHerHair · 27/04/2015 10:02

Shop I am glad you clarified you were sick after they left! Good you aren't feeling too bad today.

Mazjacks great - are you following a plan and if so, what?

Totally off brief for short sleeved shirts as ££ but I love this short sleeved shirt from Toast. Haven't seen anything similar for less.

Just saw this at Gap. Worth checking asos and uniqlo as well I would say.

A few updates on purchases:
MnS jacket really liked it but it is thin and definitely not worth the price. Will wait to see if it goes into the sale.

jumpsuit - too big so will try on again when they next have 20% off. The white piping does make it look a bit like a tracksuit when on though. Hmm

white shirt - love this, I like the cotton viscose mix - makes it more casual somehow.

And just ordered a few things from Gap (extra 20% off on their sale atm):
jeans - QueenC I think you have these? Do you like them? have they bagged at all (my jeans pet hate)
snake skater shoes
midi dress

I should now try to do a shopping ban a la Liberty until the style day (end of June Blair and QC) famouse last words

Karbea capsule wardrobe sounds good. I am thinking of doing one for June - August.

Today am wearing white jeans again, uniqlo cotton / cashmere top in grey / pink and red pointy flats. Plus check trench when out.

bettykt · 27/04/2015 10:18

I like the sound of your outfit Bernice

Shop you seemed chuffed with your SD, it's actually tempting me, I think I know mine Classic Gamine? but it'd be good to know what bits of tailoring to look out for. Necklines, skirt lengths etc but I think I sort of know already. How's the hangover, not so bad I hope.

Mazjacks well done on the weight loss, I've been a bit slack recently and need a kick start again. 55 kilos is my target, I am very short!

Muddling that's absolutely pants re: ds and the limo, how thoughtless of the other boys.

OOTD is one that I'm very comfortable with and is so me, black JCrew pixie pants, black ribbed tank, charcoal coatigan and ballet flats. It's pretty boring with hardly and colour and no patterns but it's me.

From reading about Style days and the details that QueenC has to look out for, I feel I have to look 'neat' with my clothes quite fitted. I have a baggy sweatshirt and I just look as if it's dh's, it swamps me and doesn't look slouchy at all just too big no matter how much I try and style it. Confused

AmberNectarine · 27/04/2015 10:49

Well done maz, that's a brilliant loss. I haven't lost anything this week but taking my Instagram photos shows I have toned up. I find that so helpful because before I'd have probably been in a strop about not having lost anything. I've got 4lbs to go to my first target weight. When I get there I will see if I think any more needs to come off but my BMI at that weight would be a shade under 20 so hopefully that will be enough! Really I want to reduce body fat more than weight.

Had a lovely weekend - went away for the night with DH - we stayed overlooking Tower Bridge so I caught a bit of the elite women's marathon from the window. Phenomenal. I will enter the ballot AGAIN this year. Hopefully I will get a place this time - I'm desperate to run it.

No fashion news to report - currently sitting in my sweaty nike shorts and bra top - not my strongest look. Out for lunch today though so I'd better find something to wear!

QueenCardigan · 27/04/2015 10:59

Morning. I'm in towel and dressing gown having just showered after circuits. I couldn't do much of a workout though as went over on my ankle playing tag in the playground with ds Grin
bernice ive only wornnthem once Blush. I thought they'd be a really useful addition to my wardrobe but it turns out they're not really. They just look a bit dull on me really. I'm better with blue jeans or proper black ones. I've got blue ones too which don't seem to bag.

My weight loss was great last week but I've put it all back on with eating/drinking on Saturday night and the hungover munchies yesterday!

BrandyAlexander · 27/04/2015 11:26

Would love to be able to do a jumpsuit. Envy we are away next month so must try it for then!

well done maz. I have serious period bloating so weight has shot up in the last few days.Hmm

poor dh is so jet lagged he's still trying to acclimatise to London time. my assumption that he would come back and be really pleased to see me after a week away not exactly bearing out.Grin

big meeting in an hour. I have gone for old faithful of Armani navy belted dress with 3/4 sleeves and Ralph Lauren silk scarf. Accessories are grey suede mulberry bayswater, Tanzanite and diamond ring, gucci watch and pearl bracelet. sounds odd but kind of works. I forgot earrings. better not run into ma!

oh other fashion news I have been carefully watching people wearing floral pants and Bernice is spot on for me. slim fit would suit me best. I think the ones Aj linked are a good start!

mazj4cks · 27/04/2015 11:47

Thankyou everyone. Still a long way to go but it's a good start...I'm going to re-join the gym this week to do my toning up there.

I'm currently just doing the old Rosemary Conley diet as that's what I know..but it's basically low fat and portion control! Which is what I should do anyway (but normally I can get greedy with things like pasta!) but I'm also just trying to eat more foods that are good for you so lots of fruit and veg.

I want to get deliciously Ella cook book, can anyone recommend if it's worth buying? Smile

I also love that shirt from toast! It's a shame it would get ruined by lo's!! Will have another hunt around

shopafrolic · 27/04/2015 12:12

Bernice I meant to say that I like the school run outfits you suggested for me
Novice good luck for your meeting, outfit fab as always
I might have slept for an hour this morning after the school run Blush
Definitely glad I've done the style day now - feels as though I've completed the puzzle.

WelshAJ · 27/04/2015 12:13

Mazjacks congrats that's amazing! Today I am dragging myself to a boots to weigh and test my BMI to have a starting accurate weight! But I like the idea of the photo via a different Instagram. Might use that to help me! My ideal is between 7.7stone and 9.7 Hmm and based on my scales I'm a good stone above that Sad! 9 stone I think could be my goal?

Mazjacks I have the cookbook - not used it much but will send u a few recipes see if you like?

Novice - let me know how you get on I can find more Grin

WelshAJ · 27/04/2015 12:17

Also fashion news - any Londoners Reiss have a sample and warehouse sale tnro! General sale hits 29th April - 2nd may Grin

Stokey · 27/04/2015 12:55

OOh AJ sounds interesting - can you let me know where it is? I could ditch pilates for it! I'm feeling the urge to go shopping this week but not quite sure what for... bad idea. I just haven't bought anything for ages. I'd like a denim dress (baaaaa) but can't do shirt ones or anything that ties round the waist and maybe some shorts or summer trousers.

Has anyone -Mara? - been on Eurostar with an under-4 not in their own seat? DH has got a trip to Paris during May half term and am thinking about taking the girls to meet him for a long weekend. They are 5 and 3 so was going to buy seats for Dd1 and myself and hope dd2 can just share. Also wondering if we should do Eurodisney. I know the girls would love it but it may be nicer for DH & I just to stick to Paris!

Karbea · 27/04/2015 14:05

Who was looking for alternative bag brands the other day? Just saw this gorgeous little bag on vivaluxury blog! really cute I thought.

I'm having the worlds most stressful day.
