I want one

OneLittleLady · 26/04/2015 11:23

i wonder if it's even possible to find me a cleb-a-like Grin i don't look or dress like anyone famous that i can think of

Ds is still on a high from yesterday which is so lovely. He also just told me I'm not old and that some of his friends think i'm pretty haha

OOTD black and white tiny cross patterned cotton slim fit trousers, black vest top and black cardigan with sugar skulls on it

Karbea · 26/04/2015 11:25

This reminds me of a game my exdh and I used to play, who would play you in the film, the story of your life. Back then I would be Cameron Diaz and ex dh was Nicholas Cage. Now the young me would be Hayden Panettiere, not sure who'd be me now... There aren't many haggard actresses!

Topazandpearl · 26/04/2015 11:57

Good game Karbea. The young me would be Rachel Weisz (I wish!), the older me, Anna Chancellor, although I would have had to inexplicably grown taller in middle age!

Karbea · 26/04/2015 12:00

Haha topaz I think if you pick who plays you it doesn't matter if they are taller (creative license!), CD is much taller than me!

QueenCardigan · 26/04/2015 12:24

Not sure who I'd have. Any ideas?

Topazandpearl · 26/04/2015 12:39

Carey Mulligan QueenC*?

QueenCardigan · 26/04/2015 12:41

Yep, im happy with that! Or I'm thinking gwyneth?

Topazandpearl · 26/04/2015 12:44

She could do it too! You might have to hold auditions.

QueenCardigan · 26/04/2015 12:45

Or Reece?

Karbea · 26/04/2015 12:48

I'd consider Reece as well ;)

Topazandpearl · 26/04/2015 12:51

You are spoilt for choice!

Karbea · 26/04/2015 13:14

I'm packing, and I found my Prada sunnies!!! Happy!

Karbea · 26/04/2015 13:22

I don't need 7 bikinis for a 7 night holiday do I????

BerniceBobsHerHair · 26/04/2015 14:43

Hello all,
Shop that is good about your SP, definitely seems very you. Sounds like it was very detailed and I like your summary of it all. Mine is not until late June.

I was thinking about school run / casual outfits for you - what about skinnies, pointy flats, dramatic jacket and accessories, or leather leggings, superstars and big knit?

The consultant sounds good and like you say able to adapt things to current styles.

Blair I am wondering if the same might happen to me re styles as I am very much a pear shape which I think suits more feminine / womanly styles but I really don't feel right in that kind of outfit. I tend to be much more casual and prefer jeans, trainers etc.

I definitely think I will come out as natural something but I am unsure what the other thing will be.

Karbea and QueenC I hadn't realised your SP was the same. (Your menu last night sounded great btw QC)

Lib I don't really see you as Romantic Classic, think there is something else in there...ingenue maybe?? Probably not a helpful comment now that you have done the HOC day.

Dry I think probably not feeling 'you' in an outfit is to do with style personality. I definitely have that with certain things, a lot of styles I love on other people but can't do myself.

Okay enough about SP - can you tell this interests me Grin

Linus glad you had a good night. How you feeling today?

One glad you and DS had a lovely time. He sounds a sweetie.

Karbea when are you off and yes I do think 7 bikinis is too many Grin

Liking the MNV famous look a likes but I am bad at this kind of thing. Will see if I can ponder some. Karbea i saw your pic on another thread and agree with Haydn P!

Novice you mentioned flowery trousers ages back - I think you could do them as long as they were tailored and slim fitting. I had a look to see if there were any like that, not a great selection out there but this kind of shape or this shape - not really loving the print on either of those.

Wearing denim midi skirt, Lib's APC striped jumper and Adidas superstars. Feel 'me' in the outfit but wondering what CP it would fall into??

BerniceBobsHerHair · 26/04/2015 14:44

Or these for Novice

Karbea · 26/04/2015 15:03

bernice we are off to Mexico. An ex colleague said I looked like her, I'd never heard of her when I was told, quickly googled. Most people tell me I'm Elsa (Frozen) now, but I don't think she could play me... Unless the story of my life was like 'who framed roger rabbit'!

I need new knickers can never have enough on holiday who do we trust enough to deliver before Tuesday night and will just squish in the mailbox if I'm out :/ fig leaves maybe... Anyone know of any offers?

BrandyAlexander · 26/04/2015 15:18

Thanks Bernice I am comforted that you think I could pull them off. Thank you for looking around. Thanks I agree on the whole shape thing. The last link is V tempting. They're so far out of my comfort zone! might get it just to see.

Karbea · 26/04/2015 15:43

I'm really tempted to sort out my wardrobes/drawers.
Packing has made me realise I've so much stuff I don't want/need/like.

OneLittleLady · 26/04/2015 16:24

sooo, further to ambers link last week to all the flamingo and pineapple things in Asda....I went to Asda and I now have a fineapple lamp, a flamingo tea tray, two flamingo mugs, a pineapple cushion and a pineapple door stop Grin Grin

Karbea · 26/04/2015 16:30

I think I'm going to do the 37 things (unfancy.com) capsule wardrobe. I really enjoyed packing as I could see how everything would work together, so I'm thinking of doing this for the whole of my wardrobe. That way I can really focus on what clothes I need rather than want, and therefore upgrade/get the right style/colour as I create the seasonal capsule wardrobes... I feel like I've seen the light!

WelshAJ · 26/04/2015 16:38

Novice - if your looking for floral trousers Hogh street is full of them! Structured, tailored, casual and lounge (I have quite a few Hmm)

Structured print - topshop & banana republic like these:
m.topshop.com/h5/product?productId=19454502#
Casual - Zara & misselfridge (latter i bought some khaki ones m.missselfridge.com/h5/product?productId=19219408 but they areadr for tall people with longer bodies than me)
Evening - www.very.co.uk/river-island-grey-floral-cigarette-trousers/1456667754.prd !

Grin do any of those help?

QueenCardigan · 26/04/2015 16:45

Just back from Cinderella. Loved it. I want to be a princess! Outfits were amazing and Cate Blanchett looked fab in hers-autumnal shades, dramatic shapes.

bernice I didn't realise you had a style day booked too. Will be intetesting to see what you are. hopefully is now offering the advanced style day which im tempted by but she's moved further south so I don't think its doable sadly.

OneLittleLady · 26/04/2015 17:05

I'm sort of interested in doing the colour and style days but I think i might find them too confining, if you know what I mean? More so the style than the colour day I think
