Abs Envy Amber

Welcome AmberJ!

I don't know if I have put any weight on since the wedding, the scales at the hotel were out of battery what a shame. Currently stuffing my face with brownies and rocky road bites from waitrose Blush

Was tempted to buy a Maje dress but the ones I liked sold out in my size before I could decide, probably just as well!

Sophie Hulme clutch arrived and it is lovely, but I'm trying to decide whether to be good or keep it as it wasn't strictly a "need"...

BerniceBobsHerHair · 20/04/2015 14:17

Hello all. Welcome back Blair sounds like a fab wedding and honeymoon. And great Uniqlo shopping!

One I was also going to recommend Uniqlo for a silk shirt.

Welcome AmberJ did you have a wonderful holiday?

Good luck with the weight loss Maz, good on you for posting here to keep yourself in check. I am thinking of doing the 5:2 as well though currently just focussing on cutting out sugary snacks.

I have been trying to work through the Hemsley and Hemsley cookbook - Karbea I think you have it too? I might give the bone broth a try this week, a bit out of my comfort zone.

Shop I don't particularly follow HOC for accessories, I love leopard print and also tan for shoes / bags. Interested to hear how you get on with the style day, I agree with dramatic as part of your CP.

Mara glad you enjoyed your hols.

Santa I love those IM jeans.

QueenC I was thinking you would suit this type of culottes

Justa hope you are feeling better.

Struggling as usual to catch up with all.

Am still trying to wear things I neglect from my wardrobe so today am wearing Levis straight leg jeans, Liberty print blouse and converse which I dyed pink.

I have a pair of M&S bootcuts which I have cut off the bottom and am trying to fray them, to get this effect - not sure if it will work Hmm

Karbea · 20/04/2015 14:18

stokey I'm stressed about clothes full stop! and holidays are pretty stressful with my immaculate dh. But I'm not buying anymore. We need to properly economise over the next few months, the extension needs to take up all my spare money. Talking of which I need to pop back to work for a couple of hours...

QueenCardigan · 20/04/2015 15:45

Love those culottesbbernice. I still haven't seen any irl or tried them on and I'm reslly not sure what I'd wear them with. A cheap pair just to wear with vest tops in the evening on holiday is probably what I need.
blair if you love it keep it, otherwise send it back. If you stick the anya sticker on is that stuck,on forever? In which case are you better off just buying a cheap clutch to do that with?

Drywhiteplease · 20/04/2015 16:29

Welcome AmberJay and well done Shop on the recruitment drive ! I'm defo going to get confused though Confused
Maz you carry it well, looked beautiful in the pic I saw of you.
Karbea the advantage of being married to a man who has no clue about or interest in fashion is that I don't stress about my clothes, never ask his opinion and have control of his wardrobe too Grin
Amber when you find the perfect animal print heel please let me know Smile

Off to see some live music tonight can't poss admit who, not cool, but fun think;
Amber's black leather skinnies
black boxy fine knit sweater
animal print pointy flats
Camel coat although it's sunny now, think it will be chilly walking to the car later
Gucci disco what else
Maybe even a red lip

And a friend told me I looked relaxed today Wink

OneLittleLady · 20/04/2015 17:00

hello all and welcome to AmberJ

im relaxed in black slim fit trousers, grey cut up mens beatles tee and red cotton/cashmere cardigan. when out i had on black and white animal print hi top converse with orange lining and badge and purple laces. felt cool and very me

my sister randomly surprised me with a gift of a small flamingo print cushion. i love it. I have a flamingo print cushion cover coming that i ordered yesterday, just need to get an inner for it and then it can go on my office chair. I love cushions, the quirker the print or fabric, the better. I do have sensible ones in nice shades of light chocolate and creams but i do like funky ones dotted around. I also need to look for a new lamp for the front room as the cat knocked the one i currently have off the shelves while i was away and has broken it. the shade is salvageable but the base is utterly destroyed

AmberNectarine · 20/04/2015 17:01

dry I've ordered these to start with.

AmberNectarine · 20/04/2015 17:03

one you would probably like some of this collection I was sent a press release about...

BerniceBobsHerHair · 20/04/2015 17:12

I like that range too Amber!

One I am going into town tomorrow, I think I will check Primark for the trousers you mentioned up thread - they sound good.

Dry great outfit. Intrigued now by who you might be seeing...

Blair I think I would be anxious about putting stickers, however stylish and high end, on that bag despite my DIY attempts mentioned above

I've ordered a few bits from the M&S 20% off

jumpsuit

jacket

white shirt

shopafrolic · 20/04/2015 17:27

A friend of my niece's designed some of that Amber :)
I can confirm both Mazjacks and Amberjay look beautiful

shopafrolic · 20/04/2015 18:27

Oh and Amberjay I meant to say that card game we were playing with the kids.... in the UK it is called Dobble
For anyone else with kids 4+ this is a brilliant game for kids and adults alike and easy to pack in a travel bag

BrandyAlexander · 20/04/2015 18:32

Oh that's so weird! I played that game after Sunday lunch yesterday!

shopafrolic · 20/04/2015 19:11

Spooky :)

Topazandpearl · 20/04/2015 19:31

Hello everyone and welcome to amberjay.

Good luck with the weight loss maz. I am trying to do likewise (having put back on 6lbs Shock over the past three weeks). I will go back to my healthy eating regime (lots of Hemsley Bernice, bone broth included!). Also Deliciously Ella - no bone broth there, though I sometimes adapt the recipes and include it if I have it. I do feel better when I am doing it. I find I just need to get myself organised and menu-plan (easier said than done).

Welcome back Blair.

Will catch up properly later.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 20/04/2015 20:21

QueenC that was the idea (re cheap clutch), it was sort of cheap, well it was £50 (I feel bad saying that, but it is designer!). I liked one at Accessorize which was £25, but in person it wasn't as nice as I expected. Yes the stickers are forever.

Bernice I need to go and see the stickers! It will be scary but think it will look cool. Love the M&S buys, especially the jacket. I am avoiding the idea of jumpsuits as I'm long bodied and can't be bothered with the hassle but that one looks great.

shopafrolic · 20/04/2015 20:39

Bernice that kimono jacket is perfect for you - can totally picture you in it :)

QueenCardigan · 20/04/2015 20:47

I love dobble!

Love that jacket bernice
Also love those flamingo cushions that amber linked.

shopafrolic · 20/04/2015 20:52

The guys who were playing it in GC had bought it in the U.S. - it's called Spot It there. Took me a while to find it. Surprisingly tricky :)

muddlingalongquitenicely · 20/04/2015 21:12

Welcome amberj and evening everyone.
spotted these today when I was in outfit picking up a new pair of ankle grazer jeans from dorothy perkins. Though not sure what i would wear them with but think they would look great with flares.

shopafrolic · 21/04/2015 07:51
