morning all. very dull and grey here today, not sure if it's actually cold or not though as i'm still indoors sipping tea

feel a bit strung out, odd and out of sorts today after waking up at just before 6am having a panic attack. reaally not appreciated at all but just have to ride it out. hoping it doesn't ruin the rest of the day but i feel rotten anyway just from being tired

thinking of popping out for an hour or so before coming home to finish some work off but haven't decided yet as i feel justifiably lazy right now

hope everyone has a good day

shop your black Dune shoes have completely sold out. Dune owe you commission! I was in one of those moods last night, good job they've all gone, but a little bit Sad because now I'm obsessing about them.

Pineapple necklace is very pretty.

Fedup very cool

Yeah Sunday morning links cheers, love the BV shoes. Btw QueenC if you're still after a Boden code, go to the Money Section on MN then discount codes and there's always a Boden thread pretty near the top with the latest codes.

The Charlotte Olympia shoes are horrific! I am clearly not v fashionable! love the Tods bag. The Rails shirt does nothing for me when I see it like that but Linus looks fantastic in them.Confused

we have friends over for Sunday lunch. first time in ages. then dh shipping out for the week.Sad Wearing Helmut Lang kinetic cowl neck top with Gap skinnies. The top is great for showing off jewelry so ave gone all out wearing my lucie campbell diamond and sapphire necklace (3 heart shaped sapphires each surrounded by diamonds), seksy diamanté watch, swarovski 3 strand crystal bracelet and wempe aquamarine and diamond ring (it's a square shaped 3 ct aquamarine surrounded by diamomds). Don't think I am leaving the house again today.Grin

QueenCardigan · 19/04/2015 11:51

Morning all,

Just about to head home from weekend away, has been lovely, bit cold but sunny so loads of time outdoors including swimming! Feeling chubby, back on diet this week but can't resist a good hotel breakfast plus lovely dinner last night of beef Wellington cooked really rare in savoury brioche crust with barbera d'alba wine. Wore Vivienne Tam dress that I got in Hong Kong a few years ago. Don't have link but it's nude silk top with black embroidered Chinese print over it and black skirt.

Dry loved the straight-talking conversation post! Someone who's done too much could also be a good reference point for what not to do. Heard some women at the pool yesterday discussing cosmetic procedures and someone who had lips done badly which was described as "a shelf to hold up the wrinkles" Shock Hmm.

One I don't like the food in the US either, too much food on a plate turns me although ds is pancake mad at the moment so I tried doing some American-style with bacon & maple syrup and they were surprisingly yummy.

Novice doesn't sound like you're in too much danger of letting yourself go. Enjoy your lunch.

Linus really want to watch that film too.

Cranagh · 19/04/2015 16:33

Bacon and maple syrup is a match made in heaven! And beef wellington and good Wine. I just love that smiley!

Love that Tods bag.

Your jewelry sounds amazing, Novice.

Fedup, I got those slippers when My-Wardrobe was closing down and they were one of my best buys this winter. Love that dress. Comptoir have great sales.

Still in running gear from earlier, it hardly seems worth getting dressed now!

OneLittleLady · 19/04/2015 17:29

bought a second pair of the trousers ive been wearing, bought another black pair and also a grey floral pair for variety. Hopefully when i go back next week they'll have some more colours in my size so I can build a selection of them. For between 9 and 10 pounds a pair, they are so worth buying up as they fit really well are really comfy and flattering and are even 97% decent quality cotton. the remaining 3% is made of elastine for fit and comfort. they are the best fitting pair of trousers ive had since i was a teen. now looking for a plain black, possibly silk, slightly oversized shirt to wear with the floral ones. if anyone has any suggestions of where to look for one, i'd appreciate it

AmberNectarine · 19/04/2015 18:18

Adore those dungaree shorts queenc - recently bought a bleached pair from TS (have had so much from there lately) and wore them last week when it was warm. Very practical running after the DC!

cranagh I am in my PJs, got back from my run, had a shower and couldn't be bothered getting dressed again. Have an exciting evening of ironing ahead so may as well be comfortable!

BlairWaldorfIsGettingMarried · 19/04/2015 18:35

Hello all, I'm back, where to start?!

First things first, I have given all Voguettes that I (or someone else) has met in RL access to the wedding pics, which were up last Thursday Shock so had to be looked at on my phone initially!

DH and I have had a lovely and so relaxing week in Gran Canaria. The island itself was quite touristy, but our hotel was incredible, so we only left twice - once for a beach stroll and once in our car to drive into the mountains, which were stunning. The rest of the time we lay by the pool and occasionally swam or had spa treatments, when we weren't stuffing our faces, of course. We stayed half board so had an enormous breakfast every day and a 4 course meal in the evening, except for one night where it was a BBQ buffet and we ate even more than normal Blush Anyway, we are well relaxed and it was lovely to come home to all the wedding aftermath.

The night after the wedding we opened all our cards and presents, and were just overwhelmed by people's kindness. I know I haven't said much about the wedding been busy Wink but it was just fabulous. Exactly what I wanted in every way :) It did go by very, very quickly but as people advised we managed to snatch 5 min outside together. However this was followed by the low point of the night as my new DH stepped on my dress and broke the bustle. Hmm Luckily safety pins fixed it!

I think it was worth all the stress I had beforehand, no regrets, but I'm definitely looking forward to being a smug married at my siblings' and friends' weddings in the future.

This post is an essay, so I will start another one to jump back into the chat... oh and change my name back!!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 19/04/2015 18:45

So I have just done a Uniqlo order after Belinda's tip off about the reductions. It feels big, but only £125! 4 silk shirts - 1 sleeveless - and the blue sleeveless top that QueenC bought at the MU. Had to really :)

Karbea I've recommended to my sister that there's a lovely khaki silk shirt dress on uniqlo too, maybe one for the holiday wardrobe? And One I'd look no further for an oversized black silk shirt either, they are £25 today, there is a very relaxed fit. I wear S and they are a bit loose on me as a 10. Well done on the holiday weight loss, I agree about US food.

shop I tried those Prada glasses at the airport too! They are amazing, and would definitely suit you. I don't own any designer sunglasses so my first pair will probably be a bit less funky.

Everything else I've just read has flown out of my head so I hope everyone's had a lovely week and are all well :) I think I'm off to catch up on tv, Game of Thrones, Better Call Saul, Masterchef...
