mazjacks you are now privilege to my shopping habits. Anything you learn on MNV cannot be shared with your DH (didn't think that one through when I was recruiting!) Grin
Marsha how was it?!

mazjacks · 16/04/2015 20:49

Haha same goes! As far as oh is concerned everything's in a sale Grin

shopafrolic · 16/04/2015 20:50

You might be my new best friend Grin

Drywhiteplease · 16/04/2015 21:15

Evening all.
QueenC sending you love xx
shop LOVED the friends sketch, very funny. I like a big square sunglasses shape, the arms are a bit "directional".
Santa "tropical" Hmm

HELP...I need an easy to find,in small town, late Sad birthday present for a 7yr old goddaughter Sad needs to be great.

shopafrolic · 16/04/2015 21:39

Perfect for a Classic Dramatic though non?

MarshaBrady · 16/04/2015 21:49

hello! Day 2. Marginally better than day 1 Grin jury still out. Need to present some work tomorrow and Monday, so I think if they like it then I should be ok.

Shop I think you could work it with those sunnies!

Dh isn't home yet, it's so late. Man I was fast home today, ran between connections.

Mara have fun, I'll have the extra food, send it this way Grin

Santa I'd be thrown by that too

Shoes are so expensive. We bought some Hummel ones, really like the design bright and simple.

Not sure shop. If you have several pairs and fancy something different, go for it!

But I only have one pair I use for years so I would tire of that design quickly.

betty mine is the seedless stitch coatigan. Very flattered you like my style! Grin

BrandyAlexander · 16/04/2015 22:24

Popping in to say hi! Why did I eat a massive 3 course meal?! Am so stuffed. I had been looking very svelte in red Nissa cowl dress with Mary Janes by Jimmy Choo. I am blinged up to the satisfaction of dm, except I haven't seen her today!Hmm

Karbea · 16/04/2015 22:46

I've just got home from a lovely dinner with my friend to find dh asleep, and my boy dog has totally eaten a pair of my sandals which were part of my holiday wardrobe... Arghhhhhhhh

santamarianovella · 16/04/2015 23:08

Shock karbea,

shop, sorry, but no,although likelinus I only own one pair,
So maybe I'm the wrong person to take advice from,

dry, I have no idea! A pendent?

That's good -marsha,

I think regarding the comment made by the woman, I've met this afternoon, think it might be lost in translation or something,

Stokey · 17/04/2015 07:11

Dry I got Hex bugs & a hive for my god daughter for her 6th birthday, they went down well. Christmas she got a sparkly black satchel (Accessorise, I think) and a sparkly tee from John Lewis. Dd2 just got some hideous Frozen leggings which she loves.... Next is good for girls stuff if you have one.

LinusDKD · 17/04/2015 07:27

Morning!

Oh no karbea! But maybe a good excuse to buy a new pair of sandals? Wink

Rubbish weather again today but I am not going back to boots so I am sockless again today. My trusty old Leigh tile print skinnies from last year, a J Crew ls tee and my coatigan is my OOTT.

Hope the dinner party went well mara!

Fedupnagging · 17/04/2015 07:59

Dry I have my hat ready and waiting .... Grin

Am sending you lots of positive vibes Lib. Sounds like you are working really hard.

Mara hope the dinner party was successful last night.

Oops, Karbea. Sad

Novice not sure where you actually put a 3 course meal you are so slim! Bet you still looked fab.

Like the shape of the frames Shop but not convinced with the arms. Hope the jet lag is sorted. I'm still struggling a bit but actually the late boozy night on Weds has helped, amazingly!

Marsha pleased your new job is going well so far. As it's Friday, am guessing you will be setting a new personal best time office to home Wink

Sun is out here today but slightly chilly. Ootd will be TS tile print trousers and um, not sure yet!

Last night was spent "in discussion" with ds3 re his gcse revision or rather lack of it. Ps4 has now gone so relations are strained to say the least - am off to look for the gcse support thread.....

shopafrolic · 17/04/2015 08:36

Still tired with the jet lag and DS really struggling this morning (still asleep). We're three days in. Am wondering whether to let him wake naturally today? Or will I mess up all my efforts to get him back on track for school on Monday?

Karbea · 17/04/2015 09:26

shop no don't let him wake up naturally you've got to get him up and make him eat breakfast ASAP, I think keeping your eating pattern at the correct times is one of the best ways to get over jet lag.

linus yes a good excuse! but I already had a big enough list that I was struggling with.
I'm currently in love with the valentino lace espadrilles, I really regret not getting the Chanel black and creamy ones last year, but for some reasoning can't get my head round spending so much on an espadrille, which I know I'll stress about being in fashion for only one year... Which is why I didn't get them last year.
I think I might go to westfield after the dentist (having my night guard fitted).

fedup It's so hard to get them to revise! my work colleague is in the same situation with her son, she's using all sorts of bribery. I remember looking back at revising for my a-levels, and they come at such a stupid time, I was so into going out and I'd just got my first proper ;) boyfriend, the last ting I wanted to do was revise, must have been horrible for my parents. Really feel your pain, he'll love you for it when he gets good grades!

Karbea · 17/04/2015 09:35

What do you think of these? Do you think they'd fit an adult 3?

LinusDKD · 17/04/2015 09:55

Not sure about the studs karbea but I do like the colour combo.

I think santa has the Chanel espadrilles, she got them last year.

fedup we're trouser twins today!

shop yes, wake DS up and try to get him back in his normal routine. It'll get better soon.

I bought the Sex and the City box set whilst on holiday (never saw the complete series, just a few episodes here and there) and now I so want a cigarette as Carrie smokes the whole time! Hmm

Still on series 1 so I hope she kicks the habit by series 2!

QueenCardigan · 17/04/2015 10:42

Morning Voguettes. I am sooooo tired. Little dd decided to be awake for 2 hours last night calling me every 10 mins to put her blankets back on, her legs hurt, her tummy hurt, she misses daddy etc etc. no amount of bribery, cuddling, getting cross could get her back to sleep.

Anyway my Uniqlo order arrived. Love this. I got it in the purple and its a fab colour but I didn't like it with the jeans I'm wearing. The bottom layer is a bit see through so you can see my flab. My plan was to wear it with trousers though for night out so I'll have a play with it.

QueenCardigan · 17/04/2015 10:46

The other top isn't online as its sold out. I've loved it for ages and looked for it in London but they didn't have it and it sold out online. I've been stalking it for coming back in my size and when I placed the order for dh tee there it was. 1 in my size. Don't you just love fashion fate?

dry don't suppose you have a smiggle? Seems to be the latest thing at the moment and all the girls here spend a fortune on pens, notebooks, key rings etc.

QueenCardigan · 17/04/2015 10:48

smiggle in case you don't know what I'm talking about.

karbea I like those.

maradesbois · 17/04/2015 10:58

Morning!

Dinner party was a success. Good chat with some great stories. Feeling a little fragile this morning but lots of drinks mixing, fizz followed by white wine with starter, red with main then dh opened a bottle of 1985 port Shock. Marsha am sending you packed lunch of crab & avocado salad!

Shop I agree with best to get ds back on the right time zone otherwise he won't be tired enough for bed at normal time although would have killed anyone who tried to wake me before 10am today

Karbea I think same as Linus about the MD espadrilles. Think the hard urban feel of studs doesn't marry well with rope. Like you I couldn't spend on the Chanels, think they are v hard to track down too. Santa's are extremely lovely though and much more than just a beach shoe. I have some cheapo asos lace ones from last summer which are great for beach/pool but they aren't structured enough to wear walking around town.

Fedup good luck with the revision-inducing tactics!

Linus l loved SATC, at the time me and my friends used to analyse the characters and compare ourselves. Think I was mostly a Charlotte!

BerniceBobsHerHair · 17/04/2015 11:49

Karbea here are a few espadrills I have liked recently (when browsing online)

mint velvet

Dune in a few colours.

Is it just me but I find espadriils really uncomfortable to walk in, something about the the straw sole.

Shop have you had your style day? I have booked one for June.

One I meant to say I have a cotton / cashmere jumper ( this one in pink / grey) from Uniqlo - love the fabric, so soft, though mine stretched a lot with wear.

I am trying to make an effort to wear clothes I haven't worn yet this year so today I am wearing my flat glittery mary janes that One and Ujjayi also have. Wearing with boyfriend jeans and Boden breton

shopafrolic · 17/04/2015 11:59

My style day is next weekend Bernice - looking forward to it
Will leave those glasses for now and see how I feel in a few weeks. I can get them for £150 instead of £215 so it is tempting but there are only so many sunnies you can wear right?
OOTD I am double denim-ing today. Goldsign Lure skinnies, Ines de la F For Uniqlo denim shirt with cuffs rolled up like this stylist does and my Missoni flats
Have decided that I'm going to keep wearing a lot of my orange accessories - I love them too much to get rid.

Karbea · 17/04/2015 12:12

£350 for my night guard!!!!
