Your mother sounds like a character, Novice!

shopafrolic · 15/04/2015 17:47

I spoke to Marsha earlier and can confirm she was still there Grin
Dry you asked me not to share your secret and now you're out and proud? Shock
I have been in my bikini all afternoon - fab weather
Novice you could have worn the earrings I pictured for you up thread.....

justasecond · 15/04/2015 18:11

Hi all
lots to catch up on....
hope your first day is going well Marsha
Novice your dm sounds exactly like mine, she keeps telling me look after myself and have facials!
Hello and welcome to Mazjacks
Dry you will invite us all to the wedding won't you?
One glad the accupuncture is working. It may well have set off the cold as I think it can release pressure and toxins. Jealous of your charity shop finds, they sound great.

I am still all bunged up and snotty after my cold. Ears very blocked and having difficulty hearing. Have no sense of taste either which means I have lost weight. My face looks so much better. I actually have a reverse face/arse dilemma.
Lovely weather here. Ootd was j brand slim boyfriend jeans with my first breton top ever a yellow one from Boden. It is nice but quite thin so had to wear a thin t shirt under. On feet RnB leopard print loafers.

MarshaBrady · 15/04/2015 18:34

haha Shop made it to the end of the day.

Think I just made a new world record for leaving an office and getting home by whatever train is fastest. I might wear running shoes next time to shorten my station time Grin

Yay! marsha you survived! Grin

linus I'm interested too, would love to know more, I recently. Switched shampoos and I'm now using Aussie range, wow! Love it,and much cheaper than the bumble and bumble one I used.

Major Envy at uk weather, its much warmer here today but not shorts or bikini type of weather Envy , went to the beach with dcs and another mum and her dcs. was a bit chilly ,but nice nonetheless, us grow ups just sat and relaxed and the dcs just played ,no fights, not complaints, nothing! Was magical Grin, lunch was great there too, would love to go back there when weather warms up more,
OOTD was mother jeans,CE infantry khaki jacket(last year) this CE striped tee, which I've ordered from shopbop with their code, love, love it,and My puma running trainers ,as I couldn't risk wearing my marant or other expensive flats ,, It made me think I need some sort of cool trainers, like the ones shop linked, but honestly I can't bring myself to buy them, or anything as I'm not into white trainers, might find cheapo ones,

I had a quick look at libertys ,and nothing caught my attention except for a chinti and Parker dress, but delivery is almost half the 20% deduction price,
So its not much of a savings

shopafrolic · 15/04/2015 19:13

Woooooop Marsha - well done love. Flowers Wine Wine [bloody fizz icon]

AmberNectarine · 15/04/2015 19:43

Amazing weather - DH's birthday so we spent the afternoon in a beer garden. I wore a high waisted button front denim mini and navy crop top (both topshop) and tan fringed sued sandals from Minnetonka. And still I was hot!

one if you're in my neck of the woods check out some of the charity shops up in the village (Oxfam in particular is v good), I've had some amazing bargains. Still kicking myself about the time I saw. Bottega Veneta bag for £100 and didn't buy it.

Topazandpearl · 15/04/2015 20:09

Well done Marsha!

Very envious of the weather lots of you are having. The NW tends to get the same as N Ireland, so I'm with you Ellis, hoping we get a share of the sunshine.

Keep going Lib.

Laughing at all the DM and DMIL comments. My DM is famous for putting her foot in it (most recently telling my very slim DSis that the top she was wearing was like a 'maternity smock' on her!)

Some great shopping links and I know that I need to get a few things for work. I always find workwear at this time of year difficult. However, I am too distracted by house buying/selling details! Have you moved recently or about to Cranagh?

Dry do you think you will ever do a reunion with the other five? Grin love the bag btw.

OneLittleLady · 15/04/2015 20:34

I will check them out next time im in the area Amber. Speaking of the area Amber do you know of a good place for alterations nearby? I would happily take recommendations for central area if anyone else knows of anywhere good to use

tried on both my bargain finds and they fit beautifully. Dp particularly likes the Paul Smith as it's very figure hugging, I had to take it off (not like that!) to get him to stop pawing at me Wink Blush

Drywhiteplease · 15/04/2015 20:39

Bikinis Shock denim mini skirts Sad shirts [hysterical crying and wailing lying on kitchen floor, punching it with fists].......

There are rumours Topaz of a spin off series called "Old friends" where we are in an old peoples home, but not sure I'm ready to let the grey come through or wear pleated skirts and slippers Grin
MNV will all receive hand delivered invites and a private jet to the mystery location.

liberty Tue will come soon enough and then you'll have a much deserved break.

QueenCardigan · 15/04/2015 21:56

Just nipping in for a quick catch up. Busy day doing chores followed by a shitty afternoon (don't ask!). Now about to go to bed. Rock n roll.

shopafrolic · 15/04/2015 21:58

QueenC I'm reading Girl on a Train Thanks

santamarianovella · 15/04/2015 22:57

Sad oh no queen , hope you feel better tomorrow,

Dh and I just watched turn, and I absloutely had no idea what the cast were saying at all! And I can understand a thick Scottish accent, but this american revolution era accent made my head spin, and there is a Lot of whisper ing, I gave up after 20 minutes, and Instead did a quick search on straight boyfriend jeans, started with crippen and i stumbled upon these jeans, love them , specially with the WJA blouse ,I absolutely love vanessa traina styling here, usually find her fashion sense a bit severe,in real life, ,but on the website there is a sort of balance,

Shame I can't find them in Europe, and don't want to risk ordering from a website without trying,

My mil says I look tired all the time too, maybe all mil say that?

Drywhiteplease · 15/04/2015 23:03

Im reading it too shop

MarshaBrady · 16/04/2015 08:02

Morning all! Really struggling to wake up with this jet lag but managed to sleep through at least.
Loving that book, really well written and intriguing. I didn't get to read at all on holiday - just on the plane. Finished Gone Girl (and watched the film too in flight).
Need to go school shoe shopping today (along with half the town probably).
No fashion news - everything is in the wash Grin

LinusDKD · 16/04/2015 09:26

Morning!

Yay, clean hair! Soooo relieved I could finally wash it this morning. santa I linked the treatment on the previous page. Not sure what's in it Blush but it just makes my hair more manageable and smooth.

Not poker straight but I don't want that.

Love those jeans btw but I have never heard of that brand. I am actually looking for some new skinnies to replace my Leighs as they are getting a bit worn (great cpw though) but I am always on the lookout for a bargain and I haven't found any I like yet. If anyone sees Paige Hoxtons in a dark wash, let me know.

Oh and inspired by DMBL40 I am also looking for white boyfriend jeans but without the distressing. White Jimmies would be ideal! Wink

queenc I hope you have a better day today!

shopafrolic · 16/04/2015 09:36

for Dry

Karbea · 16/04/2015 11:51

I want to get girl on a train for holiday reading, but I think I need something else as well.

one I tried to reply about your Accupuncture yesterday but my battery died. I used to have it for fertility and although it didn't work for that, I thought it amazing for other things that cropped up whilst I was seeing him, I hurt my hand once and he fixed it with one pin, amazing.

So for hols I need t-shirts, shorts and/or a skirt, an ivory shirt as a cover up and some brown leggings for slobbing on the plane. I think I might just get the ts etc from boden and the leggings from american apparel. I really fancy some espadrilles but I'm actually bored of looking at stuff and not committing. I think I might just order stuff online today :/
