It is nice but i would bet on it being bloody awful in real life. Next have gone right off imo

yomellamoHelly · 29/03/2015 10:39

Too short. Would end up flashing my knickers.

ElizabethHoover · 29/03/2015 10:39

collapses, distraught

Sleeves are too long (presuming it is to be worn on a hot day) and dress is too short for me. I do like it though.

meditrina · 29/03/2015 10:40

Far too short as a dress - it even calls itself a tunic.

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 29/03/2015 10:40

Mmmm, close but not quite. It's jersey, whereas I like real denim. Also, the sleeves look a bit full. I love easy dresses, like that, though. TopShop will prob do one similar.

Jinglebells99 · 29/03/2015 10:40

If I wore it, it would look like I'd forgotten to put my trousers on. Too short.

lurkingaround · 29/03/2015 10:41

I think it's lovely. Too short tho.

mirpuppet · 29/03/2015 10:42

Yes. Probably a fine length on avg height women.

JimmyCorkhill · 29/03/2015 10:43

It's pretty shapeless. The model is twisting around slightly to give it some shape. I am might be bitter as I'm a pear shape and can't go near this style. It would work if you are tall I think.

meditrina · 29/03/2015 10:43

This one from Gap is longer and has short sleeves. Any good?

PrincessOfChina · 29/03/2015 10:44

I bought this recently

Oasis Stripey

It's too short at the moment, but I'm wearing it while 9 months pregnant so have high hopes of it dropping a few inches in a week or two. It's very comfortable.

ElizabethHoover · 29/03/2015 10:46

gap skirt bit odd

The oasis stripey dress is great. I'm not a mum, so realise I shouldn't be commenting though! I've always been thankful to avoid school run wardrobe dilemmas, it sounds terrifying.

Momagain1 · 29/03/2015 11:02

I suppose, if the mum in question is still in the potentially pregnant years, wearing tops with no definition means avoiding anyone questioning you about a bump before you are ready. Pretty crap for breast feeding though.

ElizabethHoover · 29/03/2015 11:02

both ordered.. think i prefer the second as it has seams and stuff

ElizabethHoover · 29/03/2015 11:02

christ i am LONG past gving a toss about breastfeeding or even doing a school run

In Glasgow, the need form some sort of coat or rain jacket the year round solves the what to wear to the school gate problem. Jeans, boots, whatever on top that no one will see under the coat, and the coat.

Though there are differences between sensible technical gear type coats (most of us), and high fashion type (BBC/STV employees, I guess).

I am a wannabe flahy dresser who has never been fully abandon the sensible clothes aesthetic drilled into me as a child. There are some flash coats I have admired this winter, but I tsk when I am shopping, and pass them by. Why?

lurkingaround · 29/03/2015 11:14

Which one d'ya order Lizzie?

ElizabethHoover · 29/03/2015 11:24

the two at HOF that are sold out at JL, interestingly.
Bet both make me look like somehting out of cell block H

The school run dress was kind of stylish. I don't think the denim numbers you linked to fit the bill.

The Oasis stripe dress isn't bad.

Greenstone · 29/03/2015 11:26

Not so keen on any of the iterations so far tbh
Think shirt style chambray would be better no links, just pondering
