It's March. Spring is in the air. We are looking forward to losing layers and baring ankles.

This is the volume of the hen do and wedding. Will queen manage to get shop to wear penis boppers Grin. And will we all shed a tear when the beautiful blair gets married.

Not another blog thread are they being mean? "Just don't read them !!!!!!!!!"

Drywhiteplease · 05/03/2015 17:53

Come and eat cheese with me Amber Smile

OneLittleLady · 05/03/2015 17:54

blog threads are almost as bad as bag threads. they always end up nasty. Already there's been the comment that bloggers must have massive egos. I don't get why people have to be so mean, if they think they can do better than they should go right ahead and do so

AmberNectarine · 05/03/2015 19:29

Have spent the afternoon attempting to simultaneously cook chicken cacciatore and fashion a pair of slug deely boppers (thank you WBD). Great times. Am wearing the much-maligned dungarees today with a grey James Perse sweatshirt, black Stan Smiths and this knotted around my neck.

QueenCardigan · 05/03/2015 19:51

How did the interview go amber?
marsha I haven't heard from you yet re the mu. Are you able to make it or not?

Mmm, cheese. Save some Brie for mevdry

Sorry! I'm waiting to hear from someone on something. I should really say go ahead but I want to come if I can! Will pm you

maradesbois · 05/03/2015 21:03

Hope you can make it Marsha, would be fab to see you.

Dry would love to follow Amber and be the 11th mouse at your epoisses table tonight. Great selection .

OneLittleLady · 05/03/2015 21:06

ahem, you'd be the 12th wee mousie Mara I did invite myself first after all so you and amber can hide behind me as we sneak in Wink

still can't make up my mind about make up. the lazy side of me says I won't bother with it BUT I know there's going to be a lot of pictures taken and I don't want to look at them and cringe because I look rough in them. I have space for make up so i might as well take it, right?

maradesbois · 05/03/2015 21:11

Sorry One, didn't mean to queue jump .

Why don't you just take moisturiser with spf, a wide-brimmed hat and your makeup? If you wear a hat you should only need the full-on sunscreen on your face for beach days.

libertychick · 05/03/2015 21:15

Dry you have the best parties, cheese, wine and chocolate - what more could a mouse want? Smile

I ordered Clarks Bibi shoes in dark brown today. Fully expecting a mixed response to these Grin

OneLittleLady · 05/03/2015 21:15

I wouldn't scoff everything just most of it Grin

MIL has packed a wide brimmed hat for me and I'm certain i will pick up another while I'm out there. I have a fair amount of freckles and moles and am deathly pale so do need to take extra care in the sun, even in a English summer! I think i will definitely take make up as my foundation has SPF in at as well so no harm in having extra protection is there and I think i'd just wear tinted moisturiser at night when the suns gone down so no risk of ghost face in photos. I have plenty of room in my suitcase so I'm not worried about space at all. I have packed plenty but everythings rolled so takes up as little space as possible!

MarshaBrady · 05/03/2015 21:19

You too Mara and everyone.

Dry yum! Cheese, yes Dh had a cheese board for his birthday at work not a cake. But that was a low carb phase, think he's ditched it.

I don't have a kitchen atm and a spider has taken up residence in our absence. I got ds to get the milk from the only working appliance - the fridge. Missing actual home cooked food though! And so expensive eating out for every meal. Roll on next week.

libertychick · 05/03/2015 21:19

Tinted moisturizer, lip balm, mascara and an eye pencil is all you need on hols One. Definitely bring it, you will probably find you don't bother with it much but it's nice to have if you do want to glam up a bit in the evening.

OneLittleLady · 05/03/2015 21:25

I like those lib I'd wear them if they came in black! I don't do brown haha

santamarianovella · 05/03/2015 22:18

Oh! i'll have the wimp platter please! My dream is to have dinner chez dry,in the shed of course, But..but dry! There is no Italian cheese in your cheese party Shock, im a little insulted .
burrata with a little bit of olive oil and cracked pepper is like the food of gods!, mascarpone with figs and honey is another divine combination, prosciutto with pecorino! The possibilities are endless,

Dh is a big cheese lover too, he made up this story about how he is allergic to tomatoes at a place we usually frequent for pizza, so they usually serve him a pizza bread with cheese and nothing more!

liberty I love you dearly, and I don't want to sound like the Katie Hopkins of Mnv but these are really hard to like.

one I agree, keep it minimal, have great flawless skin,so you only need very little lip balm and bit of mascara.

libertychick · 05/03/2015 22:37

Grin at Santa. I really struggle with shoes!!!

I want tan or brown shoes / sandals that will work with things like this skirt or this dress. My default is usually ballet flats but I would so love a bit of height - I can't do slim heels, I walk too much and am clumsy (I think I have mentioned before that I broke my foot in two places 8 weeks before my wedding by falling off a pair of low wedges Blush). And my feet are supersensitive and blister really easily which is why I often default to Clarks as they are generally comfortable.

Any suggestions??? Anyone?? I have to say though that I suspect that people who routinely wear lovely shoes are much tougher than me and can tolerate a lot of pain!

LinusDKD · 05/03/2015 22:48

How about Swedish Hasbeens lib?

I know they're not everyone's cup of tea but I think some people look great in them. (I don't think they would suit me but I've never tried them on)

Mmm cheese! I need to come to 'Chez Dry'! I love cheese but DH and the DC are cheese fiends. I think 'cheese' was one of DS's first words.

I agree with everyone else one, natural is best (or as natural as possible) when you're on holiday.

How about a sunscreen and mineral powder with spf for the daytime and a tinted moisturiser for the evening?

Drywhiteplease · 05/03/2015 23:37

Apologies my dear Santa as a blue cheese lover Gorgonzola is one of my fav. I did think it was a bit French heavy. Will go to cheese shop tomorrow and get some Burrata, never heard of it. Perhaps my blog could be "Fromages And fashion". Grin
note to self, don't offer fizz then wine, to many glasses to wash mid week

Drywhiteplease · 05/03/2015 23:38

That would be "too many"(sp?)

OneLittleLady · 05/03/2015 23:53

I'll have a dig around in my beauty stuff and see what I have. I think I have some mineral powder somewhere but put it away as it was too dry for winter use. I definitely have tinted moisturiser, I've seen that just today so that's covered. my double wear light will be too heavy for in the sun so will be leaving that at home for certain. I think maybe some blush to counter act the whiteness of suncream would be okay too, no matter what sunscreen i use, it always makes me even paler and i'm very very pale as it is!

QueenCardigan · 06/03/2015 07:44

Morning!
lib I love the shoes. I wasn't as keen on this seasons orla as previous ones but they're not really my colours. Remember I linked those navy ones last year that were similar to the ones you've linked but everyone hated those too! I'm after some shoes from clarks but I'm not linking until I've tried them on as I don't want you all to put me off Grin
dry hope it went well.
marsha hope you can come. Just let me know when you know.

Feeling good in today's outfit. Navy blouse and Chinese blue cardi. The Blues really are the best on me.

QueenCardigan · 06/03/2015 07:44

one deginitely take some make up with you because if you don't you'd wish you had.

Morning!

Wearing my new Jimmies again today Grin and I'm so fed up wearing boots that I am braving the cold wearing ballet flats getting in and out if the car running errands really

dry I'll send you the old Jimmies and the skirt next week and lib I'll do the same for your skirt.

BerniceBobsHerHair · 06/03/2015 08:35

Liberty I quite like the shoes but I do like 'fugly' shoes Grin

How about these clarks sandals?

I know it is not the brief but I do like Ash jalouse boots or similar with skirts / dresses. The cuban / block heel is v wearable imo.

this kind of look

LinusDKD · 06/03/2015 09:27

santa I just saw the Altazurra dress you linked for me. I like the top a lot but I can't do assymetrical hems.

They tend to look better on tall people and I just can't deal with most assymetrical things
