It's March. Spring is in the air. We are looking forward to losing layers and baring ankles.

This is the volume of the hen do and wedding. Will queen manage to get shop to wear penis boppers Grin. And will we all shed a tear when the beautiful blair gets married.

I was wondering how you all remembered everything Shop has in her wardrobe then someone mentioned pin (doh!). Lots of good advice though. Didn't you buy a stripey summer dress recently too?

MarshaBrady · 05/03/2015 10:34

Morning I'm in Fulham Broadway to meet an agency, the air sure does feel different over here.

Wearing Burberry pitch meeting pants and Marang blazer with Tory Burch teal jumper and Lanvin black suede wedges. Pretty much my agency outfit these days. Luckily they don't know this

libertychick · 05/03/2015 10:44

Good luck with the pitch Marsha. Outfit sounds perfect. I take advantage of working with lots of different people to recycle the same work outfits over and over too!

MarshaBrady · 05/03/2015 10:56

Thanks Lib this one's just an interview. And you're right, saves me a fortune on work clothes!

LinusDKD · 05/03/2015 11:20

Good luck marsha your outfit sounds great!

It's denim day chez Linus as my Jimmies arrived and I picked up my Marrakesh.

Love the wash of the Jimmies and they fit. Phew!

Tried on the Marrakesh with a few other shoe options (other than my Manolos) and shoes are tricky. My Colts are too clunky and too high, my lovely Whistles ankle boots are not perfect either and the only shoes that worked are an ancient pair of LK Bennett espadrille wedges.

Great for S/S but not so much for now. Will dig through my shoe cupboard a bit more later.

shop did you keep that James Perse dress you ordered last summer? I think you and me and sleep have the same one.

I loved mine in the height of summer last year.

LinusDKD · 05/03/2015 11:27

How about this shop?

LinusDKD · 05/03/2015 11:30

maxi dress

OneLittleLady · 05/03/2015 11:38

Good luck marsha outfit sounds fab btw

LinusDKD · 05/03/2015 11:42

A jumpsuit dressed up in the evening shop?

LinusDKD · 05/03/2015 11:52

lovely if you don't mind viscose.

shopafrolic · 05/03/2015 12:37

Love that white maxi Linus - not sure if the half lining looks odd? Perhaps at the price it's worth a punt. Love the jumpsuit too.....
I've just ordered a black bikini from Boden, and this top as a lightweight cover up.
I got all my clothes out. My GAP shorts are too big for me now so I have two pairs of denim shorts, one light, one dark. I have J Crew tees in black, white and navy but no colours.
I have a James Perse, Splendid and Equipment dress I can wear as daytime cover ups. Then I have a black James I can wear in the evening.
I have sandals and flip flops.
So gaps are - one pair of coloured or white shorts. Assorted tees in brighter colours. I beach cover up.
Evening wear. I wondered about a pair of more tailored trousers that I could wear with heels and a tee / silk shirt?
I need dress, bag and shoes for gala dinner.
I can wear jeans and a silk shirt some nights.
Will write a full list before hitting Brent Cross.

libertychick · 05/03/2015 13:22

Shop you would look amazing in the jumpsuit Linus has linked.

santamarianovella · 05/03/2015 13:29

Goodluck marsha, your outfit sounds so effortlessly chic as always, my go to work related "uniform" is vanessa Bruno cream silk shirt dress and Marni skirt, specially if its a sort of a group meeting thing,

linus, I wear mine with heels or marant wedge boots, I have a pair of old caged tan sandals, from Gucci that look good with them too. they are tricky with most shoes, as they need to be really sleek and somewhat pointy if you want to make them look contemporary ,otherwise you end up getting those dent like creases around the ankle area, my mum tells me that back in the 70s, they used to apply starch to stop that happening,
But I think MIH have really altered the cut of the original flares, mine look more like wide leg jeans, which is what made me buy them in the first place, the new one and I'm not talking about the skinny flare , are really pronounced.

shop that sounds really good, you dont need much, and don't get coloured shorts, a pair of denim shorts, is all that you need its the best cover up,and can be worn for casual lunch by the beach, I wore my APC one last summer when we went to pampelonne beach, and just wore a simple slub tank top to lunch later, it was literally what everyone was wearing,

I wouldn't get trousers or silk shirts for dinner though, you will be on an island in the Caribbean! Your clothes should be more laid back and effortless, like you've just came from the beach, and just picked a random dress Grin, put on sandals and lipstick, and volia!

santamarianovella · 05/03/2015 13:32

*voila, thank you stupid iPad Hmm,

shopafrolic · 05/03/2015 13:40

and there... in a nutshell, is my issue Santa - laid back and effortless is not something I do well Grin

maradesbois · 05/03/2015 14:26

Hello,

I need cheering up with some fashion chat after a crappy day so far. Traffic wardens going round on scooters to catch people all the faster, what's all that about?

Marsha work outfit sounds fab, professional with creative flair, good luck.

Santa welcome back!

Shop if you're going to be with a mainly American crowd the vibe will be very casual in the evenings, even at an expensive resort. Apart from the gala dinner I wouldn't worry about anything dressy. I got a couple of cheap Grecian-style maxi dresses from ASOS last summer with beach coverups in mind but they were fab for evenings with flat sandals and a clutch. Would imagine you could do the same with some of your day dresses?

Dry need to see a pic of your WBD costume!

Cranagh · 05/03/2015 14:39

I was the other side of Fulham this morning, Marsha! Love the agency outfit. I was in Lululemon!

I would say it will be pretty casual, Shop, if mostly an American crowd. I love the All Saints dress Liberty linked. I bought and returned the Hush marseille shorts, they looked dreadful on me (it was probably me rather than the shorts though Smile).

MarshaBrady · 05/03/2015 16:12

Cranagh it's lovely over there, definitely a different feel to SE London

Shop dresses with flats for the non gala dinners, work upwards, I'll have a think about it.

Thanks everyone, I like this outfit for my usual stuff, this agency was at the trendy casual ie the digital type.

MarshaBrady · 05/03/2015 16:15

Santa your outfit sounds gorgeous. I need another one in the mix.

santamarianovella · 05/03/2015 16:24

shop how about this? It's very laid back,I really like it,

santamarianovella · 05/03/2015 16:28

love, love this, linus get it for the wedding, its gorgeous!

Drywhiteplease · 05/03/2015 16:34

I've been reading French fashion blogs. Starting hereStan Smiths seem huge in France. Love the whole Fr look. Need more if anyone has suggestions. Simple, paired down, ageless....love it.

DH away for a week [sob] so while the cat's away I have 9 mice coming round tonight for a cheese night. Went nuts in Waitrose, and £63 Blush later have the most incredible selection and some fab red too.
Think I'll have the Wimp's board (cheddar, Manchego, Somerset Brie) the blue board (Stilton, Roquefort and Yorkshire blue) and the hard core stinkers (Epoisse, Brie de Meaux, Vacherin, goat, Camembert ) . Figs, grapes, celery, Quince Jelly (a Fr thing) chilli jam and another chutney. Various biscuits and baguette. Can't wait, cheese is my weakness.
Oh and pudding...........M and Ms and chocolate covered raisins in shot glasses Grin so pretty with strong coffee.
Marsha or liberty which one has the cheese loving DH?

Contumely went down a storm, but have v flat hair due to wig wearing Grin

What to wear to eat cheese? Leather skinnies and belly covering top Grin

Drywhiteplease · 05/03/2015 16:35

Shop I agree with Santa two pairs of denim shorts should be enough! I wouldn't bother with coloured unless you will wear them again.
Fab wardrobe Smile

OneLittleLady · 05/03/2015 16:59

mmmm, cheese night sounds great Dry I wish I was coming, I'd have everything but the blue as blue doesn't agree with me

I bought just one clothing item for myself today, an Iron Man sweater from the mens section. It was heavily reduced though so no guilt and I am short of sweaters anyway as I never seem to see many I like. I did also buy a lego luggage tag but since it was reduced tot he grand total of 99p, I don't feel bad about it. I wouldn't have paid it's full price for it though as it won't be often used at the minute

Stressing a little over what make up to take with me, I don't know if I should just brave being bare faced as I will have to wear sun screen no matter what or look for something that won't pill with it. I know I'll want something for evening as I have been promised dinner, just the two of us, so I'd like to look nice for that.

AmberNectarine · 05/03/2015 17:25

Getting drawn into that blog thread - must. Walk. Away.
