It's March. Spring is in the air. We are looking forward to losing layers and baring ankles.

This is the volume of the hen do and wedding. Will queen manage to get shop to wear penis boppers Grin. And will we all shed a tear when the beautiful blair gets married.

Following on from here

And liberty love the French spy look Grin

BrandyAlexander · 12/03/2015 20:52

Evening all! It's been a shocker of a day but then the dcs have cheered me right up.

I was mostly at home today. I am wearing gap jeans for 13yo, a purple Barbour top with a Helmet Lang assymetric beige knit thrown over it. These slippers which dh hates. Plus my 6ct tanzanite surrounded by 2ct diamonds halo ring. Nope, I can't explain it.Grin

Amber hope your hangover is better!

One, if my budget reversed I would shop high street, eBay and importantly, charity shops. Also hand me downs and swapsies. As I wasn't born into money, that's how I lived in my late teens and 20s, except we didn't have eBay then!

MarshaBrady · 12/03/2015 20:57

Ujj I work from home and I'm the same. Dh will say I'll do it later, then I will have to do it as I'm home and it bugs me. Which bugs me again!

Thanks for all the good wishes btw, and the All Saints dress love. Also love it when a link inspires someone to join. Will go and check it out over the next few weeks in the shops.

One I'm in the middle think, so the reverse would be umm maybe low or high. If low charity swap shops are the way for me, if I had loads I'd be in Matches at the start of each season like a shot.

MarshaBrady · 12/03/2015 20:59

Bernice yes love the vintage look a friend has every day. Always something new, something second hand but styled so well. I also think dh looks good sometimes in simple outfits, can look bad too sometimes, but will stick with the good.

Santa on that note, your job sounds great!

BrandyAlexander · 12/03/2015 21:03

You wouldn't Marsha, your wardrobe would be stuffed!

Fedupnagging · 12/03/2015 21:03

Just popping in quickly to say have a fab holiday Lib
And
Well done Marsha

Have had to hide the iPad to avoid distractions for the last 36hrs - hopefully catch up properly tomorrow eve.

Drywhiteplease · 12/03/2015 21:04

liberty are you still looking for a navy a line skirt ? This looks nice.

libertychick · 12/03/2015 21:11

Dry on working from home I try to give DH some idea of what I'm doing - so I'll let him know if I have important telephone calls so he doesn't start the hoover or playing a noisy game with DD at those times. I also try to finish at a set time.I love your list of the classics - I think I would want all of those as well if money were no object.

Shop that's fantastic - is there wiggle room for another few bits and pieces then Wink

MarshaBrady · 12/03/2015 21:13

Novice I thought of you in there. I thought if I was Novice I'd be in here and getting so much I'd have to take a taxi home. Grin

MarshaBrady · 12/03/2015 21:14

Shop that's great! some more then

libertychick · 12/03/2015 21:17

That is a nice skirt Dry - have pinned.

Thanks Fedup. We leave late tomorrow afternoon so I'll be working up until the last minute. Have just packed. OMG I have just realised I have packed ANY swimwear - back later....

Drywhiteplease · 12/03/2015 21:20

Oh yes lib have a fab holiday x

MarshaBrady · 12/03/2015 21:22

Lib have a great holiday

Dry are you still watching House of Cards Season 3? How are you finding it

LinusDKD · 12/03/2015 21:36

Have a fab holiday lib!

Drywhiteplease · 12/03/2015 21:47

Marsha I am but I'm finding it a bit hard to get into, will persevere. Only 2/3episodes in though. You?

AmberNectarine · 12/03/2015 21:48

DH brought me chips and a can of lemonade. What a legend.

In answer to the questions:

One tough one because I think I shop at all ends of the market. Shoes in my wardrobe that I wear regularly and love range from £600 rockstuds to £20 new look jobbies! I also LOVE eBay and a rummage in the charity shop. I've bought quite a few great things from eBay lately - a fringed Zara mini I wear all the time and my Timmy Woods telephone bag. So I think whatever my financial situation I'd manage to find things I like! :)

Bernice there is a mum on the school run whose style I love - she always wears cool trainers (she has at least 3 pairs of Stans and airforce ones) which she wears with luxe joggers usually. Lovely coats too. She almost always wears black and grey but there is a lot of texture in her outfits. Bags are always Celine. I'm excited for the summer just to see what she'll be wearing .

Right - turning in, need my beauty sleep!!

maradesbois · 12/03/2015 21:49

Hello,

Just popping in briefly, looking after a 6mo overnight, so far so good, everyone is asleep but not convinced it will continue so planning a bit of HOC and an early night.

Good question One. I think I have a pretty good budget, could spend more than I do but am a bargain hunter by nature plus it would limit investments elsewhere. Also I worry about the future like life is good now but what if it all goes pear shaped. Although my birkin bag is an appreciating asset would probably need more than one to be able to retire Grin. If higher would go for jewellery like van cleef sautoir necklace, la perla underwear, silk pyjamas, Loro Piana or hermes cashmere coat, that sort of thing Grin. If lower would do tk maxx (but cheaper brands than I buy there now) and charity shops combined with a little high street.

Lib enjoy your hols, have a fab time.

maradesbois · 12/03/2015 21:51

Just realised my higher sounds like Joan Collins. Am probably better off carrying on as I am now!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 12/03/2015 21:55

Have a great time Lib! :)

DP finally booked our first honeymoon! We're going to Gran Canaria, from the Monday to Saturday, half board, lovely hotel. Will be so nice to just chill. I need to start thinking about whether there's anything I need to buy! Would love those Massimo Dutti tan sandals.

I'm buying my bridesmaids' earrings, are these too small and are these too big? (Dress)

santamarianovella · 12/03/2015 21:59

mara, I wear LP, and la perla, and I own an alhambra pendent, does that make me Joan? , ? Wink, but no silk pyjamas, they are just gross!
I honestly don't know, maybe I'd shop more at sales, and far less, but still try to buy nice things, or maybe I'd go on a ban for sometimes till I can shop again,

santamarianovella · 12/03/2015 22:02

Enjoy your break lib you need it Smile

Woo hoo! blair, sounds great!

QueenCardigan · 12/03/2015 22:08

Evening all. Just been for a gorgeous meal with dh. The new boots gave a small blister so probably best avoided on Saturday!

amber what are you up to in Bristol???
blair hooray for honeymoon! I prefer the small earrings
lib have a fab time

I'd probably do really heavily discounted stuff. I saw some MiH for £14 the other day, if you hunt hard enough you can find it. Also clearance on the outnet. But I like getting a good bargains on places like that these days too.

Dry we've finished! I know, but in my defence we only stick to one or two shows and don't watch every day tv. We just went with it. It's good, but Claire seems to be running the world and without experience as I keep thinking. Nice clothes but come on!

MarshaBrady · 12/03/2015 22:15

Blair that sounds gorgeous. Well done!

libertychick · 12/03/2015 22:22

Well done mrblair

I like the small earrings too.

Swimwear packed.
